If you ever encountered a wyvern and you where not planing to RUN!

If you choose to build a breeding barn and a cage out in the desert or near the world scar, always remember to place the barn away from the wyvern cage so it won't agro on you while your inside. And a VERY important tip; Always place your behemoth gate correctly and keep your baby wyverns away from the gate at all costs, as a wild wyvern can breath their specific elemental attack through the gate and damage your babies. I had this problem multiple times but I had my rock elemental as protection so we survived :)

Make a base near a wyvern cave and once u get an egg take it to your. Base and when the wyvern follows u it will die to your turrets and look for alpha wyvern to get a lot of milk because it is easier but hard to find

If you are solo taming one the best thing to do is to get an argent at 200% speed to out run wyverns (220% speed for alphas). The fly into the trench and look for eggs. When you've found one aggro all near by wyverns and fly into the mountains. Since you don't have an egg yet they won't follow you forever, they will actually get distracted by other creatures. After you've lost all the wyverns fly back and get the egg. To incubate either surround the egg with torches or fireplaces. A cheap way to get milk is to lead a low level female wyverns to the manticore arena and get it stuck on one of the buildings. Then just tranq it.

Tame low level 20 and lower 24 is pref. Due to health and stamina that is base for that level of argies fly above your team killing deathworms with rexs and rockgolems etc. And boost nothing but movement speed till 200%. 200% movement speed will outrun any dragon(not tamed ones) either have a player shoot tranqs on a low level female wyveron or use a trap. The reason you tame low levels is because the more you have the more of chances you have of completing milk runs and not having your baby dragons dieing from no milk. Ensure you have at least 75 tranqs at all times for milk runs and a full crossbow or 2 or 3 bows. Once you have the egg a big issue could be getting milk, well if youre on your own server you dont actually need the wyvern milk, just up the baby growth speed! Ive tested this myself.

If you want a high level egg, keep killing the low lvls and eventually you will find a high level.

Argy needs 182.5 + speed to outrun female wyvern

When you grab an egg. Don't look back just keep flying away! Or have a friend ready to take Agro away if you are yet to be set with a wyvern!

When rasing your dragons on a official server be ready you need members on atleast every 2 hours to feed them and if u build a dragon catcher it makes it so much easier to knock them out when getting milk only get poisons if u want to avoid casualties

Don't get close to a wyvern

For begeners don't get attached to your Args bro, coz u might lose a couple

Since taming is unavailable you have to raise a baby. Once stealing an egg from the trench it's your job too hatch it! I recommend building a base in the dunes, due to the fact that generators take damage building a turbine in the dunes has a 100% wind which is good!! The rest is up to you to make some AC units I would recommend 10 and some fridges incase you want to do any other egg hatches. Baby Wyvs only take milk so concentrate on have self handy and ready to go when you go on a milk run, which consist of KOing a female am looting its milk! ^.^ it only last an hour without salt but once u get back to base it can also be placed in a preserving bin, and why not add to it put some salt in there too the max amount of time you with have till soil is roughly 2 hours and 30 mins.

I suggest you build a trap using pillars. There are many tutorials on YouTube but I would recommend Chickenbones wyvern trap.

If you're going to be the only person on in your Tribe and Milk runs will be difficult, you can use the Obelisk to store the milk instead of a fridge. The spoil time will not move, and you will guarantee yourself some breathing room while raising the babies!

Go to utube look at chickbone s wyvern trap it helps when it comes to milking females. Cactus broth and chilli help when collecting the eggs from the scar.

So I was knocking out a poison wyvern for milk and when I went to access its inventory it said tameable by anyone must tame when awake! I didn't think they were tameable but it says they are when you go up to them I just don't know how. Any ideas? (I tried riding it to tame it and fell off immediately 😅)

Need help on getting some eggs? Heres a tip!

STEP 1: Use a flyer thats speedy, has decent weight and a decent amount of stamina. Make sure you can outrun wyverns and have some range as they can easily spit breath onto your mount.

STEP 2: Find a "wyvern trench", check the ark fandom for trench locations. Ice wyverns and the 4 other variants are in seperate caves.

STEP 3: Stay as far from the wyverns as possible, don't get picky with eggs and find a clear exit for the trenches. Quickly nab the egg by getting off your mount and make a run for it!

TAMES YOU CAN USE:

-PTERNADONS: disposable, easy to tame and quicker than a wyvern. To get away from a wyvern coming to close for comfort barrel roll by clicking "c" while on shift. Weight might dip when you carry the egg

-SNOW OWLS: As fast as a pternadon , you can dive bomb from a height and pick up speed. (Just remember to remove your mini map)

-GRIFFIN: The stamina might be alittle risky, considering most griffins have 200-700 (you can level them), same with the snow owl you can dive bomb and glide with faster speed. Remember it chews up stamina, don't forget to remove the mini map aswell while doing so.

GUIDE THE WYVERNS TO OTHER LARGER CREATURES! THE WYVERN AGRESSION RANGE IS LARGER WHEN THE EGG IS TAKEN!

GROWING

Incubating time (normal): 4 hours and 50 mins (use 15 standing torches lit to incubate, spark powder is suggested to light the fires as it lasts long).

Growth time (normal): 3-4 days

^^ these differ depending on server rate settings!

MILK

Baby wyverns only eat "wyvern milk" which is obtained from knocked out female wyverns (5 wyvern milks) or dead alpha wyverns (which give 40 wyvern milks!).

-Wyvern milks give 1200 food, but spoil quickly on hand!

-Wyverns needs can be reset with a cyropod so you won't be wasting your milks.

NO MILK? HERES A HELPING HAND

All you need is…

-Lots of cooked meat (you might need a industrial grill for this..) atleast 1000, daedon, lots of stimberries or stimulant and your baby wyvern.

-Put the meat in troughs and place down the daedon nearby, drop the baby wyvern nearby.

-You won't need to feed the baby as it's healed by the pig, however you need to check on it's torpor - feed it stimulant and keep it atleast less than 500. If it sleeps it's gonna end up losing health and dying!

-Don't get out of render distance, the daedon will stop healing and the baby will die.

Remember to do meat runs and check on the baby!

REMINDERS: babies are hardy, food doesn't drop quickly, atleast 10 milk will do per day.
