There are many kinds of yverns in ark like: fire, lightning, and poison.

Poison wyverns shoot out a ball of poison the blows up on impact and poisons anything the get close to the explosion.

Fire wyverns act like flame throwers and set things on fire.

Lightning wyverns shoot out a beam of electricity that deals alot of damage.

These things can be real pains, when I try to take my first egg a 180 chases me across the map, now after final killing it and full growing the wyvern it gets killed instantly by a pack of wolves! I go back to the trench and see a good level, go for it and get my amazing argy killed and loose all my stuff.

I am currently flying over to my body to try to see if I can collect it. Advice don’t get any ideas from this text

Fire and poison wyverns are alot easy to use then lighting on getting milk, the fire and poison breath misses alot more then the lighting. Even low level lighting can almost kill your pterandon so be careful we fighting them.

Now with fly nerf, when catching an egg, try to loose the Wyvern agro by passing by wild argys or herbis in the mountain.

Since flyer nerf easiest way to get the egg would be taming multiple birds and building a base, so when you die go back to body with 2nd bird and pick it up.

Ik some of y’all might consider this cheating because it requires going out of the storyline’s chronological order, but USE A MANAGARMR TO GET THE EGGS! The quickest escape you’ll ever make, I promise you! You’ll get away too fast for them to stay aggro for long, so you can just dip back in & scoop as many eggs as your heart desires (or carry weight can handle)!

Never try to fight a Wyvern with a pt or argy it's just death just take the eggs and you might have a chance

The easiest way to get a egg is to just get any type of low level flier and just take the egg and fly out of the trench before the Wyvern kills you and jump of your mount and let it kill you after your out then just get the egg off your dead body.

For you newbies to encountering your fist wyvern, you may think of knockout taming. You are wrong though, wyverns are only tamed by stealing their eggs and the babies must be fed with wyvern milk. You can get milk from knocking out female wyverns, and feeding them with start to tame them. Continue the process to tame you a wyvern.

On Fjordur what you can do is using a Griffin, fly through the trench and agro them to one side. Then de render them and come back to the other side for free eggs, got 2 without being bothered doing this

Ice wyverns on lost island are too easy. Literally stole its egg with with a lvl 27 argy…

to tame easier build a small house made of something they can’t break

in the den then put a crate with ghillie armour inside and a bed to respawn, next wearing different (you’ll need the other one for later) ghillie armour go into the den take an egg, enter the box before you get killed place the egg in the crate leave and before you die get far away, maybe have a roll rat to dig a tunnel to escape the wyverns will follow you and leave the crate then hop out and die (yes really) use the bed respawn pick up the egg the wyverns won’t be grumpy hopefully 🙏 you can then hop in the ghillie leave and raise the wyvern. like so more people can see.

Getting an egg takes guts, take a moment to let your fast flyer get Stam just out of range, mentally prepare, and don’t second guess yourself. I’ve managed to get more than one egg at a time just being quick, the trench on Val has a lot of wyverns but they are spread out and usually more on one side.. go on the side with the least. Get an egg maybe two if there’s time and dip the heck out. Unless you are me, raiding a den on my argy who’s beefed the heck up 20k health, and you just kill them all and take all the eggs.

My friend said to assault the best with a truck load of pteranodons and set them all on agressive

1. Climb up to the nest with a megalania

2.place a sleeping bag in the nest

3. Grab egg and put it in the megalania

4.stay off the megalania and whistle it passive

5. Let the wyverns kill you

6.wait 5 min and respawn at sleeping bag

7. Crawl out with the megalania and the wyverns won’t know

To hatch the egg I only needed 5 ac and a torch on Ragnarok SW2

when you wantsome wyvern milk knock out a fire or lightning wyvern cause they're close range a poison can shoot.

Do not upload a fertilized wyvern egg into a obelisk.

It will lose it‘s data.

I did that because I wanted to breed on the island in my AC room...and the result was a level 1 baby wyvern instead the promised level 300 one..........

When you are raising these, you are going to need milk within the first 4 hours after it hatches. After the first milk feeding keep milk around for imprints but If you do not care to imprint then time how long it takes for the wyvern to drop one whole food, multiply their current food by the seconds it takes to lose one whole food, and then divide by 3600 and you will have the hours until starvation. For example if it takes 10 seconds to lose one whole food to start off and they have 2400 food you will do 2400x10= 24000 then 24000/3600=6.7 hours. The time to lose 1 food will not always be 10 seconds as it increases as they grow so you will have to keep timing it throughout the process.
