It seems that if the babies food gets low enough the milk gives 2400 food instead of 1200. Make sure you wait to feed your babies!

Tame a rock element; an easy tame once trapped in gates, and you’ll be king/queen in the wyvern trench. Even with a low level, you can walk through the lava like a boss, kill all the wyverns, and then have enough eggs to fill a fridge. The only trick to not getting the rider killed is to look down and have its back to the wyvern as it’s flying in close. That way the rock element blocks the fire/lightning ranged attacks. Once the wyvern is in punching distance, it rarely uses its ranged element attacks.

My experience is very similar to everyone’s but my preference is to use a griffin kite the adults out get the eggs but hey many ways of doing it to each there own happy hunting wyverns on top 👍

I recommend using a desmodus in ark to steal these eggs, they have an invisibility ability at night

I just tamed a fire wyvern on fyorde ( I miss spelled that I know) and wow very easy. I did it with an argintavis and got chased till I hit the ocean then the mom said nope I am out and she flew back. Also use a snow owl it is so easy doing it that way just make sure to have a lot of food in your snow owl and have the stam high

Personally the worst wyvern in the game for pve in my opinion is lightning bc their breath attack is an enormous threat to you and your tames and there isn’t room for mistakes, they are the best for pvp however due to them doing so much damage. They are definitely for more experienced players tho. Poison is ok. Their breath attack is nearly impossible to aim while flying but does good damage and basically shreds players. In pve they are helpful in ground but overal probably the worst wyvern. Fire are overall the best. Great for pve and pretty solid for pvp. Ice is pretty bad for pvp but arguably best for pvp bc of its high stamina and weight making good for farming.

Im a coward so i basically made the settings so i cant take damage right, but for anyone else whose also playing coward mode, be warned, poison wyverns care not if you have turned off dying they will kill you anyways

For you newbies to encountering your fist wyvern, you may think of knockout taming. You are wrong though, wyverns are only tamed by stealing their eggs and the babies must be fed with wyvern milk. You can get milk from knocking out female wyverns, and feeding them with start to tame them. Continue the process to tame you a wyvern.

Getting an egg takes guts, take a moment to let your fast flyer get Stam just out of range, mentally prepare, and don’t second guess yourself. I’ve managed to get more than one egg at a time just being quick, the trench on Val has a lot of wyverns but they are spread out and usually more on one side.. go on the side with the least. Get an egg maybe two if there’s time and dip the heck out. Unless you are me, raiding a den on my argy who’s beefed the heck up 20k health, and you just kill them all and take all the eggs.

Fire and poison wyverns are alot easy to use then lighting on getting milk, the fire and poison breath misses alot more then the lighting. Even low level lighting can almost kill your pterandon so be careful we fighting them.

1. Climb up to the nest with a megalania

2.place a sleeping bag in the nest

3. Grab egg and put it in the megalania

4.stay off the megalania and whistle it passive

5. Let the wyverns kill you

6.wait 5 min and respawn at sleeping bag

7. Crawl out with the megalania and the wyverns won’t know

To hatch the egg I only needed 5 ac and a torch on Ragnarok SW2

when you wantsome wyvern milk knock out a fire or lightning wyvern cause they're close range a poison can shoot.

When you are raising these, you are going to need milk within the first 4 hours after it hatches. After the first milk feeding keep milk around for imprints but If you do not care to imprint then time how long it takes for the wyvern to drop one whole food, multiply their current food by the seconds it takes to lose one whole food, and then divide by 3600 and you will have the hours until starvation. For example if it takes 10 seconds to lose one whole food to start off and they have 2400 food you will do 2400x10= 24000 then 24000/3600=6.7 hours. The time to lose 1 food will not always be 10 seconds as it increases as they grow so you will have to keep timing it throughout the process.

When dropping the egg to incubate, do NOT press right trigger. You will eat the egg. Honestly just take your right hand off the controller.

After you have tamed one you can use it to kite same type wyvern's (ex fire and fire) to your trap and tank hits as you close the gate. It wont take damage from the same type of wyvern and the wild one will stay aggroed far easier than if you used an argy

Please watch out for moths in the wyvern pit!!!

When attempting a mid-air shot with a firearm/bow, be sure to put the wyvern on follow. Otherwise it will attempt to find a place to land. Also works great to regenerate stamina mid-air like a quetzal.
