With 500% melee, a Wyvern is essentially a flying Giga that can also easily replace your Argents and Brontos. Wyverns are hands down the best meat farmers for massive carnivore raises, gather crazy amounts of thatch, and travel faster than a 200% speed argent even at the Wyvern's slowest speed.

Did you know?

A normal level 150 wyvern has 693 stamina and 516 weight and about 4000 food, while the level 150 crystal wyvern has 715 stamina, about 400 weight and about 3000 food. And the crystal wyvern can carry alot bigger dinos and a bigger diversity of dinos.

brought my pt to the lava trench, with my rex that does like 1.4K DAMAGE, and i saw there was a 180 WYVERN EGG

10 leves away from max, Lured the male out, Killed it but.. It killed my pt. had to kill everything and swam to mainland to tame a new pt

Important note: if you have singleplayer settings enabled you DON'T need wyvern milk.

It's important to note that Wyverns of the same elemental type cannot damage or be damaged by the same elemental breath attack, so for instance a fire wyvern is your best bet when alpha wyvern hunting, as it cannot be damaged by its fire breath.

I must be built differently or something, because my second or third flyer is ALWAYS a wyvern, ( I don’t play official , but still….i steal wyvern eggs with no fear (mostly) on Pteras, Moths, yes, you heard me, MOTHSS!

And after all of that, I use my wyvern once it’s hatched and grown up, to tame Argys so I can get progress really going,

I tame Argys, no, really just any flyer that isn’t the Tropeo with my Wyverns, just by chasing them when they run from me and hopping off and shooting at them off of my wyvern in midair, it’s so fun to do aswell and costs absolutely no resources, and every attempt I’ve made has been 98% successful so far!, minus 2 Griffins that died..one fell in water because I underestimated how high it’s torpor was at the time…

But anyway, can’t be the only survivor who’s this insane, correct? Am i right or am I right?-

When going to steal a Wyvern egg (this is for fire btw, i dont know what the experience is like for the other three kinds) *Obviously* wait till there are no Wyverns right near the egg, the go for it. Pick up the egg and run. If a Wyvern attacks you, DON’T FIGHT IT! It will inevitably lead to your demise. Just grab the dang egg and get the heck out of there! Wrong. Use 'em for transport, just pumping weight and stamina.

If you see a lightning wyvern FLY AS FAST AS YOU CAN THEY SHRED YOUR DINOS HEALTH

Make sure to stock up on milk and preserving salts. My tribe put off getting milk and had to rush to farm it becasue we got triplets. While you may not be concerned with this, that 2% chance does occur.

Here’s how to tell the difference between fire,ice,poison,and lightning.

Fire is usually red and/or black with horns where ears should be. Ice is white, light blue, and on rare occasions a light purple they also have basically a trike frill of horns.Lightning is purple and/or dark blue, also they do not have horns but weird ear frill things. Finally poison, they are always green no matter what shade also they have dillophosour frills. If you see any of them and are under level 80 or have very strong creatures/weapons/tribesmates, RUN!!!! 🙂+🐲=💀

Be sure not to fly into a lightning wyvern and you thought hackers on cod with aim bot were annoying

Be careful with poison wyverns. They can hit themselves and you with they poison attack. I had a wild female chase me, I wanted it’s milk then it spat poison and killed itself 🤨🤨🤨

This isn't so much as a tip but an idea. Wyverns should have a gliding mechanic, which wouldn't take up stamina. It wouldn't regen stamina either. It should be like the drake's but you won't lose momentum as fast and you won't just fall out of the sky once you slow down, instead the wyvern would start flapping again. I'm pretty sure wildcard isn't directly connected to dododex but i just hope they could add this in an update it'd be really useful and cool :D

If you're trying to care for your wyvern but It wants wyvern milk and you're fresh out? Cryo pod it. When you throw it out it should want something else, if not try once more should work. Worked for me 9/10 Up if this helped!

Single player uses:

1. Travel mount: Wyvern are very fast in the air, although their speed has slowly become irrelevant with the addition of even faster and more efficient travel mounts such as the bloodstalker and tropeognathus.

2. Wyvern killer/nest raider: Of course Wyverns can kill other Wyvern, just be careful not to get overwhelmed by a swarm.

3. Giga killer: Wyverns can easily kill gigas from a safe distance due to their ability to fly and ranged attacks.

4. Boss fight dino: Being the most powerful flyer, wyverns are often your best option in any boss arena that allows you to use flyers, although they might be outclassed by Tropeognathus in the desert titan fight.

5. Dino carryer: Like the quetzal, wyverns can carry fairly large dinos and drop them into pens for taming, although the task is a bit more tedious due to the wyvern's shifty turning radius.

Never ever raz a wyvern in a mini biomes in fjord

Types:

Fire, short range powerful fire

Lightning, long range powerful lightning

Ice, same as fire but ice im pretty sure

Poison, usually misses but large toxic area

Alpha, all breath weapons, dangerous

Cannot be tamed. “Tamed” by stealing eggs, knocking out female and giving milk to baby/juvenile

Crystal:

Tropical, gets buff from touching water, cant swim, some sort of breath weapon idk what it is probably fire

Blood, healed by dealing damage

Ember, more powerful fire, gets rage buff turning flames blue

Queen, crystal isles boss, all crystal breath weapons

Passive tame, blood and ember attack, tropical is neutral. Queen cannot be tamed

Only corrupted wyverns spawn on extinction. They do not lay eggs and cannot be tamed, so dont go there for them.

Use a maewing to raise. I mean, use maewings for all babies, but I'm pretty sure that you won't need wyvern milk. Same with rock drakes. I managed to grow 2 wyverns with a maewing, taking them both on adventures around the map.
