How to tame tuso

1 get a tame. I don’t see why turtles are so good at taming, meg worked fine but either will work. lvl up heath

2 search deep sea, I found 3 on brutal from the bottom left corner of the map to the top left corner of the map.

3 if you have soothing balm use it but I didn’t need it. use black pearls takes 50 at a time but if you did use balm you can use cooked prime meat takes 30 at a time I think.

4 go on a killing spree in the sea to open spawn spots for tuso.

5 when you find it, kill all eels, mantas, and any other hostile Dino’s near it.

6 tame by letting it grab your tame, then feeding it the pearls or prime meat.

U can only feed it black pearls and it must be grabbed on something to feed it

I tamed one of these and immediately died, of course my reaction was like with most other tames of oh god dammit now it’s gonna die, I zipped over on a dolphin and found it sitting innocently in a ball of about 50 meg carcasses with 2 plesiosaurs in the mix

You need two people, one for feeding the black pearls and the other to feed the turtle that is in the grasp of the Tusoteuthis, with sweet vegetable cake for the health and to feed it stimulates berries as well

Will not grab mosas in mobile!!!!

On crystal isles you can commonly find these guys near the shore with the text "does not want to be tamed right now". Dont fall for it,you can still tame it but its gonna a lot weirder than if it was completely underwater. First if you hit it with your tame (e.g carbonemys) riding or watching far away commanding it to attack it will stay still and not attack and afterwards it will be completely passive even if you attack it. First you need to get your tame close to the tuso (dont worry it wont aggro to you first), then attack and quickly run away. This way even though it normally wouldnt have wanted to grab your tame will still grab it since it is the nearest dino there is,afterwards feed it black pearls or cooked prime meat if you wanna go for a few more rounds. It wont do that much dmg to your tame if you feed it quickly,like not even 500 dmg.

Read this, it might help you:

1: The best place to encounter tuso is 90-91 lat and cover all longitude from red ob to the end of herb Island.

2: Don't solo search, make a party and cover full bottom of the map.

3: Don't search in shallow water and surface, go for mid and deep sea.

4: They need to grab your tame then only can they be tamed.(Take Carbonemys with health and speed pumped)

5: They take 50 black pearls per serving.

6: They only agro in deep sea.

7: Last and the most important, the server must be brutal or their chance of spawning is not that much. Put server to brutal and for one day atleast go killingspree in ocean to open spawn spots for tuso.

8: Pump only melee and health to tuso.

Basilosaurus (whale dino) is immune to the squids grabs. Its also immune to jellyfish stings. :)

Tame turtles

Let it attach to turtles that you are riding

Swim up to its mouth and feed black Pearl's to tame

I’ve feared the ark ocean for a while now and this just brings a inky cherry on top

The note that the taming is non-violent is entirely on your part. The squid however, can be as violent as i danm wants

Use a Mosa to tame this beast. Let the Mosa get grabbed wait a couple seconds get off feed it black pearls. Have your mosa on follow lowest, swim a bit away from the Tuso after feeding it, when the Tuso lets go the Mosa will swim to you. Repeat until Tuso it tamed. Super easy!

You can wait untill the tuso grabs a wild animal and as long as you have black pearls in your last slot just swim to its mouth and hit the button it asks for. If you have a shoulder mount leave it at home or just don't have in your shoulder because you can throw it off..

Get a water Dino with a lot of health get grabbed go to its mouth and feed it black pearls go back on the Dino and wait until it’s hungry again and feed repeat until it’s done

Just tamed a 150 on an official server. Building a trap high off the ocean floor works great just trap it and rotate out 150 tamed turtles hp pumped. Took about 2 hours with pearls for the tame. Took 50 pearls every 5-10 min. Happy taming!

Don't bother wasting sweet veg cakes and risking high level dinos. Get it to grapple your mount, feed it, swim away with your mount on passive and follow, squid will let go after a while, wait above the squids aggro level until the feeding interval is up and then go back to feed it again. Rinse and repeat until tamed. You don't need to stay in the squids grasp for the whole time, affinity won't drop whilst you wait above it.

I use my turtle and basilo and found lvl54 and it grab my turtle and I went to the mouth and feed 50 black pearl and tamed it best way to find it is using a diving suit and go deep with a sea creature and locate one and mark it so u now where it is so you can prepare

Be careful getting grabbed near the world border or else the squid can shove your tame through the wall deleting it from existence.
