Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a tusoteuthis? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a tusoteuthis.
Get a basilosaurus
CAUZE THEY ARE IMMUNE
TO HIS ATTACKS
For the stuck squid on the crystal isles beaches; it is tameable. Eat a Rare Flower to aggro it and you can passive tame it normally!
Okay so if your crazy (me) and have enough time to be constantly attacked and really like want them (me) if you know the underwater cave go there there is usually 1-6 of them inside and very high level I seen lv250 these in there however there’s like 100 megladons, 1000 eels that will lag you to death and an bunch of other nasty things sooo… yeah I would recommend really high health to do this or clear the cave first and slowly get the target closer to the exit. Another important reminder on mobile you Tap the Kraken if it an feed one tame. swim right up to its beaks and tap it with Black pearl in the right slot bar AS IT GRABBING AN DINO (good chance of death it also advised using anything other them black pearl while taming would result in the Dino’s death unless it has an Giant health pool) another thing I would recommend Mossa or ples for this cave , ple are always in pairs of 2 and Mossa although intimidating are easy tame if you have good gear and fast dolphin tame .
Mosasaur is the Giga of the sea you say? Well this here scurvy kraken is the titanosaur of the sea! Get in yonder boat and flee! Or you'll end up like me!
Listen clostly, dont lure them to the surrface or they wont want to be tamed. Second, it takes one 50 black pearl feeding. Third, they have to be holding onto something. DO NOT BRING PLATFORM SADDLES NEAR THE SQUID IT WILL GLITCH OUT.
Honestly the best place to find a Tuso is the western part of Ragnarok, at roughly 50,10. There is a medium sized trench that houses at least a dozen. Here's an easy way to tame.
1) Grab something to breathe underwater. (Scuba or a tek helmet)
2) Grab a beefed up tame with good hp. (I use a Shadowmane because they breathe underwater and have insane natural armor)
3) Let the Tuso Grab your tame and while it's latched, swim up and feed it one stack of 50 black pearls. It has to be 50. Any type of meat will take you 3 hours compared to a couple minutes.
4) Rinse and repeat. Be prepared to die, taming a Tuso for the first time isn't super easy but remember not to panic. Clear the area out around the Tuso you want to tame first and then try.
If you're mobile player
You can find alot of them in south
If you couldn't find go away render distance and make tidy save then back and search

Don’t let it grab your tame when near the ocean floor. It’s mechanic while holding your tame makes it tilt in such a way that you are moved underground. Then the game rerenders you and your tame above the water. Lost a lvl 218 mosa instantly. Try and get the squid to go a little higher before trying to tame.
Don’t believe the comments saying you need 2 minimum tribe mates to tame this. It can be easily solo tamed i like to use two turtles one to sit on and one for bait. Let it grab the bait turtle then feed the tuso and jump back on your safe turtle and whistle the bait turtle back and just repeat.
This guy is absolutely terrible to tame.
I prefer using a Pleo that’s a high lvl with over 3900 health so then u need balm and black pearls
When taming tusos, use a creature with good health, torpor, and no oxygen stat as the grab target. Quite a few creatures fulfill this criteria, but my recommendations would be:
*Turtle (small turtle, not megachelon)
*Dunkle
*Mosa/Plesi
*Megalodon
As for your mount, ride a basilo so the tuso won’t grab your mount instead.
***Easiest Way To Tame A Squid***
1. Tame a Carbonemys and level all point to health
2. Go to Crystal Isle and find tuso on the beach at the edge of the map (top left, bottom left, top middle and bottom middle of the map is where tuso mostly spawn). With these method you dont have to swim deep underwater to find one.
3. After you find a tuso, place your carbonemys infrontof its mouth but not too close so you can reach the mouth later on without your carbo blocking it.
4. hit the swuid until it grab your carbo and feed it black pearl.
5. Easy tame.
You dont need to go deep underwater and deal eith mosas, megs, plesio, and other stuff.
It only took me 50 black pearls to tame a lvl 90 in single player, but I’m pretty sure it’s more than that in multiplayer
Don't tame the squid around the world barrier or the sea floor. If you attempt to tame it, one mastercraft saddle on a 30k turtle should get you through four feedings without force feeding veggie cakes. Drive a raft over and set your turtle to follow you on Passive. Ride the turtle down with your 50 pearls and let the squid come to you, get as close to the max depth for the squid as possible. When the squid grabs your turtle, jump off spam A at its beak. Hold A to ascend quickly upwards and if you had the squid at max depth the turtle should be able to follow you back up without being grabbed again. Set a timer for 10 minutes at the surface and when the timer has about a minute left start your descent to find the squid again. Rinse and repeat. Brought three turtles using this strategy, only one left the raft and all three turtles survived.
If you find a beached one on Crystal Isles and it doesn't want to be tamed, park your turtle inside its tentacles. Get off, swim up to its beak and punch it till it grabs the turtle. Then feed it pearls from your last inventory slot...free squid.
To tame the beached squids on crystal isles you need to swim a turtle in the middle of its tentacles and then punch it in the beak, thank me later!
Don’t tame these anywhere near the world border. I got dropped out of bounds and my stuff deleted.
Swim to ocean floor to find. Water is wavy when they move. I personally find them more up north of map.
Found out today that when taming one you can have it grab wild dinos instead of your own tames, I had a beached one grab a wild trike and tamed it with that
