Tips & Strategies

What are tips for tusoteuthis? Tips and strategies for tusoteuthis in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Be warned the ink cloud was changed, it now rapidly depletes the stamina of any tame caught in it and riders, including basils.
I was a fool.
I know the danger surrounding these guys but, NOOOO! I charged towards it with my dolphin, Karru 'cuz it swam away and we chased it. It turned towards us and gave us a huge squid hug. I panicked when I saw Karru's health being sucked off like hell. I avenged him but, it just farted us ink and got away.
I got attacked by a lvl 125 Megalodon and somehow survived with my otter, Minky. I swam up towards the Herbivore Island while grieving for my foolishness and loss of Karru. Our quest to tame a Dunkleosteus went disastrous but, I have managed to tame one with another dolphin I named Proeta.
Guys, BEWARE! DON'T BE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO TRY AND FIGHT THESE GUYS! DO NOT BE A FOOL LIKE ME!
I hate it when I'm looking to explore or find black pearls at the sea floor with my lvl 20 Ples, a Tuso would appear right in my face, giving me very little time to dart out of my death. Just like the rocks near Herbivore Island. Imagine I was chased by a Tuso and the rock slaps my face. 0.0
Atleast I have a Basilo to farm its black pearls, because it's immune to grabs.
Carbonymes have high resistance and easy to get
Swim to ocean floor to find. Water is wavy when they move. I personally find them more up north of map.
Actually easier than youd think to find it go to the very corner of the island map doesn't matter which one but dive deep, use a tame with high health and let it grab it swim up to its mouth and feed black Pearl's (last hotbar slot) at the moment its x4 so its quick a lvl 75 takes one feed of 75 Pearl's 1000% worth the time to tame but gets some getting used to. Once tamed lvl up the health melee and stam for a beast that will dominate all it faces
Anyone who says it can only be tamed with black pearls, your wrong, I just tamed two level 4 with 80 meat each.
Easiest way to tame one is on crystal isles they can often be found beached
1. Use rare flowers(It won’t attack on surface of water)
2.hop on a mount and attack it a bit
3.jump off and swim to its mouth with black pearls
There is a VERY easy way to get a Tuso that I don’t really see anyone ever talking about, but here it is. All you need is the following items:
-50 to 150 black pearls (depending on the level)
-One to three small tames (raptors are easiest in my opinion because they eat mutton)
Once you have these items, travel to Crystal isles. This is a free map, so anyone who has access to transfers can go here (to transfer, go to an Obelisk, place any items you want to bring with you into the “Ark Data” section, and press “Travel to Another Server”).
The location of these easy tames is in the south-most area of the desert, at about Lat. 89 Lon. 39. There are *sometimes* tusos there, and they are kind of washed up on the beach. They will not really attack you if you walk close to them, and most times you even need to punch it several times to get it to aggro. Be patient. Make sure your tames are positioned close to the tentacles, so when it decides to aggro it will grab them and not you. Once it has grabbed your tame, swim (or walk, depending on how deep in the water it is) to the beak in between the tentacles and press the prompted button to feed it. It will eat 50 black pearls at a time, and after each feeding you will need to wait a long time before feeding it again, so don’t sacrifice all of your tames right away. Each feeding of black pearls will require it to have 1500 point of hunger off its maximum amount, so if you open the taming tracker in your inventory you can see how hungry it is. Repeat this process until it’s tamed!
Sorry for a lot of text, I wanted to make this easy for even new players to understand.
Once its feeding, you need to swim into the centre of their tentacles and feed the pearls directly to its beak (mouth)!! Died twice trying to find a prompt 😂
Easiest thing to do is just send a turtle in to fight it. The tuso will over power it and you can slip in easy like. It’s so mean!!
Fairly easy tame when you use turtles and a decent mosa/shark/squid. Clear out the anglers, plesios, jellyfish around the squid then euip 50 blackpearls in your feeding slot. Have your turtles all follow the mosa/shark/squid and have all of them set to passive. Ride a turtle down to the squid and let the tuso grab it. Jump off the turtle and swim to the beak and feed. Swim back to your other turtles and wait around 14 minutes until the second feeding equiping another 50 b-pearls.after second feeding, you only need to wait about 7 minutes for each additional feeding (use dodorex for amount of feedings). On 2x taming youll only need 200 pearls for a 150. Get insane amounts of fish/meat/prime with your new tuso mount to feed all your carnivorous breeding needs.
On the center you can usually find them in the ocean around the redwoods or around the underwater bubbles
So erm while i was doing a tuso taming guide my dododex crashed but its fine.
Looking to tame this Cool looking mount? Cool lets start!
SUPPLIES
-Lots of Black Pearls
-A Tanky Mount (Carbonemys are good for this specific tame.)
-Good Armor (Journeyman or Ramshackle Flak armor are appreacieated with Ascendant Scuba gear.)
-Tuso Saddle (Tuso saddle can only be unlocked when lvl 91 while costing 40 engram points to learn.)
Ok lets find a Tuso!
Step 1: Find A Tuso (Tusos are the rarest Creatures in the game so keep your eyes peeled for one.)
Step 2: Bring your tanky mount to the Tuso and make sure the tanky mount is set on passive so it wont ruin the Taming Effect while your Passive Taming this Tuso.
Step 3: Repeat the Process and just keep bringing the turtle once the Tuso lets go of it and just keep on Passive taming it "till it becomes your friend :')
Yahayyyy!!! You have tamed a Tuso Great Job!!! 🦑🏇
Now this creature has no Dissabilites but it has 3 Unique Abilites so lets start!!!
ABILITIES
ABILITY 1- Tusos can shoot an Ink of oil when Fleeing once on low HP, Tusos both tamed and wild can do the ability it is used for trolling players and for raiding underwater bases in PVP so it can perfectly blind your enemies for a few seconds and it also comes with a buff while doing it.... it is..... Increased Speed this Speed allows you to reatreat into Safer waters but sadly this speed is very VERY temporary and not pernament but the Tusp itself can aslo be fast without it too
ABILITY 2- Tusos can pick up anything up to a Mosa, so basicly Tusos are like underwater Quetzals that dont have a Platform Saddle and are the Rarest Creatures than a Quetz, and Quetzals are VERY VERY common in the Red Obelisk area.
ABILITY 3- Like other creatures that give oil the Tuso dosent jk, when the Tusos are killed they drop Tuso Tenticals 2 to be exact it can be used on the boss areana in Consle and PC but sadly we havent found a use of these Apex Items in Mobile though :'( but heres the fun part if youve already tamed a Tuso and you ran out of oil and when you find another Tuso but it cant mate bcuz both have same gender and when you kill that Tuso it will drop you 200-300 Oil! More oil than a Basilo!
Thanks for seeing my guide hope ya'll stay safs out there goodluck and take care 😁😄😃 :').

To be perfectly honest with you I found a tuso on easy ark mobile while riding my igthy I killed but and thought I should kill a ammonium which causes rage effect, rip Issy
If you play on increased rates and it’ll only take 1 feed, the tame you use will not matter at all. So long as it can survive about 5 seconds, it’ll work fine. Genuinely the easiest game I’ve ever gotten late game.
First of all you can tame them using muttons now(also 50 a stack)
They are the kings in the sea. Nothing I repeat nothing come close to their sheer might and usefulness. Great health and great damage are given but more importantly they are immune to stun AND are the most agile and manoeuvrable among the heavy hitters of the sea.
There is no reason to tame any other sea creatures for battle once you get them.
