Tips & Strategies
Everyone says this thing is rare, but I ran into two of them with in 10 mins apart off the coast of herb island around 85ish,90ish. Recommend your tames have high health because this thing ripped apart my dinos.
To whoever is questioning the non-violent thing: That means taming is passive, and not a knock-out tame
Please do not go into the new water cave before they fix this invisible squid lost two high lvl Spinos
Found them lay on the beach in Crystal Isles. SO SO easily to tame I follow Nooblets on youtube and it came out working in unofficial server.
***Easiest Way To Tame A Squid***
1. Tame a Carbonemys and level all point to health
2. Go to Crystal Isle and find tuso on the beach at the edge of the map (top left, bottom left, top middle and bottom middle of the map is where tuso mostly spawn). With these method you dont have to swim deep underwater to find one.
3. After you find a tuso, place your carbonemys infrontof its mouth but not too close so you can reach the mouth later on without your carbo blocking it.
4. hit the swuid until it grab your carbo and feed it black pearl.
5. Easy tame.
You dont need to go deep underwater and deal eith mosas, megs, plesio, and other stuff.
I know people say these are rare and they are. But no one said how stethly they are. I was ridding my plesio then a lvl20 came out of were and now he's ded:(
Get a cryopoded turtle, when your mosa gets into a battle with the hentai master, uncryopod your turtle. The tuso will grab your turtle. Then you can attack it
The Tuso is often something to fear by many new players and for most other players who have never tamed a Tuso or even have ever encountered one before. If you are looking to tame one, use black pearls to feed them (prime meat can also work though it will take longer to tame). If you see one, it will usually have a description saying “does not want to be tamed right now “. This means you will need any other smaller tame you have. The use of the already owned creature will be used as a sacrifice (bait). Make sure the Tuso aggro’s and attempts to grab the tame and not you! As soon as the Tuso gets a hold of the tamed creature by grabbing it, it will deal lots of damage to it. But in the process of the Tuso grabbing the tame, it’s time for the taming process of the Tuso to begin. Come up to the side of its head where there is no hit box and feed it black pearls which have to be located in your hot bar.(This is a passive tame so the use of trinks will not work). Feed the Tuso when it feels hungry again. Note: you may need multiple tamed creatures set on passive for this because the will kill even some of your stronger creatures. After you keep doing this procedure you have a Giant, Colossal body guard that can kill anything in the seas. Good luck adventure.
If you find a beached one on Crystal Isles and it doesn't want to be tamed, park your turtle inside its tentacles. Get off, swim up to its beak and punch it till it grabs the turtle. Then feed it pearls from your last inventory slot...free squid.
screw all the water tames up until this one. f the progression of itchy, meg, etc. tame a turtle, get one, fearlessly explore anywhere in the ocean. they are so easy to get and such a solid tame. i refused to venture to the ocean because i always died to jellyfish (apparrently apex predators in ark) but now i laugh at the silly jellies with the might of my squid! up so new players can see and start their own ocean exploring
Scary big death squid
That will kill your favorite mount if nothing to grab onto
Found out today that when taming one you can have it grab wild dinos instead of your own tames, I had a beached one grab a wild trike and tamed it with that
Don’t make the mistake of attacking it with an itchy and thinking it won’t attack back it will, even if it says it don’t want to be tamed now and it annoys you don’t attack
Swim and don't look back, it is not friendly so don't try to shake one of its tentacles. Keep your tames away from this demon, it's a water troodon. It eats tames for fun
For the ones saying they are rare and can’t find them they obviously didn’t actually take the time to look. Whenever I go around the whole ocean for red drops I always encounter at least 3-4 of them. So don’t be one of those guys. Take your time and actually use your eyes. Also if you’re going to fast like on a plesi mosa or ichthy then they could possibly not render in time. So take it slow and never sit still for too long.
If you are on mobile and want to tame one you can use 10X and cooked prime meat or raw meat for a decent or easy tame
