ADVENTURES OF TROOP THE TROODON
written by specialraptor(zznake0)
authors note- Hello fellow writers and fan-fiction readers! It’s is I, specialraptor, here to give you a report on my latest story, Adventures of Troop The Troodon. Since the prologue was released just yesterday, all other chapters will be heading down from there! (For ex. Troodon section to Tropeognathus section) Chapters will only be in dinosaur sections from ASE(evolved), not ASA, or Ark: Mobile Edition. If you have any comments, questions, suggestions, or opinions, feel free to ask me(or tell me) in Raptors section! I do not play ark anymore, so they are much needed. Thank you for your time, and specialraptor signing off.
CHAPTER 1(watering hole)
(Recap from the prologue, different writing style)
In a far away land, distant from any other normal country on planet earth, comes a land full of hungry dinosaurs. Each dinosaur has its own habitat, and each habitat comes with its own ruler. For example, the massive Apex predator of all, the T. Rex. We call this island…
…The Ark.
***
(Continuing from Ziggy and Troop’s latest adventure(besides the redwoods) it is daytime, and Troop and his best friend, Ziggy, are trying to get cool photos of other dinosaurs with their new camera.)
Troop turns on the camera, featuring the watering hole.
“Wow! Look at all this beauty!” Troop says in amazement.
“I know! Imagine what it would look like if all the dinosaurs gathered here.” Ziggy replied. While Troop is distracted with the so called ‘CAMERA’ invention, Zig decides to look around the place. As he walks, he spots all kinds of different herbivores hanging around. He begins to start various conversations with them, as his mother used to say being kind is key, and getting to know each other lets you know a person is trustworthy, or aggressive. At the time, Ziggy realizes he had lost his best friend.
(The scene is no longer daytime, welcoming the night)
“Troop? “Trooooper?” Ziggy bellowed. He shrugged it off, as it seems to happen a lot when they both get distracted with something. Traveling farther into the woods, he started to get the feeling of being watched. He didn’t feel safe there, but yet he still continued his journey without Trooper. Different unrecognizable screeches and squawks began echoing through the forest.
“W-who goes there?” Ziggy stutters, clearly shook by the unsettling noises of the woods.
And then…
“BOO!!!” chirps Troop. Ziggy squeaks and hides behind a tree.
“Haha! I knew you were scared! Remember what you said earlier about not being scared of the dark spooky forest?” Troop says.
“Yeah, I do remember, and THAT WAS NOT FUNNY!!! We are supposed to be there for each other, not this nonsense!” Complains Ziggy.
“You should’ve seen the look on your puny little face! Haha!” Ziggy frowns and walks away as while Troop continues to laugh. Walking further into the forest, Troop catches up with Ziggy and apologizes.
“Okay, Zig, I’m sorry. I just thought it’d be funny. I mean, look at the scenario we are in! Perfect time for a small jump-scare.”
“I guess so. How’s the footage going? Did you get any cool photos, or something?” Ziggy asks, tumbling over sticks and rocks.
“Yeah, I’ll show you them later…” replies Troop. After a small travel through the forest, Ziggy and Troop come to a stop.
“Is that..?”
“It is. It’s the obelisk.”
Imagine this:
A Fully kitted space whale loaded half and half with element and ambergris surrounded by saddled tropeognathuses who are running escort for the space whale, teleport into sight when suddenly enemy tropeognathuses show up firing flak rounds at the space whale the dogfight that ensues will be awesome and terrifying. Any beach Bob will be drawn like a moth to a flame to watch the battle overhead as tropeognathus rain from the sky as the escort party finishes the pirates off and proceeds to target the enemy base dropping the bombs and teleporting away just before the charges detonate. The beach Bob looks in awe before turning to go inside for a dinner of berries and meat only to realize his thatch hut was obliterated in the bombing of the neighboring bobs hut.
All that to say tropeognathus would be useful as bomber escort birds
Listen up kids! Ssssstory time!
So I, together with my girl friends, made a smol griefer tribe on crystal isles map on a serv. Me, Mack Sharky, Hamster Man, and Indoraptor, a bunch of others made the ultimate dream team. We went around grieifng the alphas and arse tribes doin justice, giving bobs stuff etc. It was all fine until it all went downhill.
I was soarin in the skies with my friends and flyers, when all of a sudden, the alpha came in on the new trophy uhhhhh whatever it is, and yeeted the whole team. We watched as we were wiped to the ground. We did not cry. Not a single tear shed. We watched our final sunrise on the server. Our final sunrise, before we all quit and played other games.
Even then, it's been two years since I played ark, it's been a good run. I will always remember the day when the team met and the day when we parted ways. Whenever I think back of this very memory, I would smile.
We few.
We happy few.

“AHHHH!” a shrill scream rang through the air again.
“Yeah, there’s definitely someone up there,” Ruby said. Nova began running, scooping up the little dodo bird in her arms.
“Well there won’t be if he’s dead! Quickly!”
Ruby pushed the grass aside with her hands as the three ventured deep into the plateau’s hill. There were large oak trees that spanned across the plain and large rocks too. Nova noticed strange dinosaurs that stood on their hind legs and had crests on their heads, like the flying ones, but they were running away from something.
“Um, on second thought, is it really a good idea to go in that direction?” Nova wondered.
“It was your idea,” Ruby smirked.
“Well forgive me if someone has second thoughts on something!”
“HELPPP! SOMEBODY HELP US!” the voice shouted again, this time up higher. The call of a raptor rang through the air in response. A grumble came from nearby.
“Keep it down, you’re gonna attract more unwanted attention!” a familiar voice shouted, but it was hard for Nova to tell who with how low his voice was. Ruby pointed deeper into the forest.
“In there. They’re in there!”
The two girls ran deeper into the forest. The dodo bird Nova carried squawked in disapproval and pecked Nova on the arm. She winced and flicked the dodo on the beak.
“Hey, keep that thing to yourself mister!”
The dodo chittered, shaking his head and ruffling his feathers.
The further they dived into the forest though, the harder it became to see. Ruby kept her bow close, drawing an arrow.
“Be careful— oh, dear,” Ruby whispered. Sitting nearby a large boulder was the corpse of a Parasaurolophus, its guts hanging out.
And worst of all, the cause of its death was right by the boulder, clawing at it, desperately trying to get up. Nova and Ruby looked up the boulder to see two men standing at the top. One of them, who was butt-naked with the exception of his underwear, was clinging onto the other one tight (much to his dismay). The other guy was wearing a black graduation gown. They were sitting ducks.
“HELP! PLEASE WE’RE GONNA DIE!” the half-naked guy begged for the second time. He hadn’t seemed to notice the two women yet, but neither had the raptor. Ruby pulled the string of her bow back, squinting her eyes and aiming at the raptor. Her arms were shaking, she was really pulling that string back compared to the dilophosaur. Nova drew her bow too, but she seemed to be looking at Ruby, waiting for her to do all the work.
“Go go go!” Nova hurried her. Ruby was caught off guard by Nova’s demand. She released the string, but the arrow simply bounced off and struck the ground near the raptor’s foot. THUNK! The raptor jerked its head back. Suddenly, it was no longer interested in eating the two men on the rock. It cocked its head, taking a slow step toward the two women. Ruby took a step back, fear in her eyes. Nova looked at her and whispered,
“I heard if you stay still, they can’t see you because they can only detect movement!” Nova murmured. “If we stay absolutely still…”
“That tip is for T. rexes, not raptors! Raptors are smart!” Ruby argued.
“Well how am I supposed to know that?”
The dodo whimpered as the raptor got closer, but the two women didn’t seem to realize. The raptor let out a shriek, stretching out its talons and dashing at the two. Nova let out a scream and released the string on her bow.
THWACK!
The raptor shrieked as the arrow struck its skull. It desperately clawed at its face, trying to get it off. Nova quickly shot another arrow at it. Unluckily for the poor creature, the arrow struck it right in the butt. It pranced off in pain, before shortly collapsing to the ground in a pool of blood. The guy in the black graduation robe jumped down from the boulder, while Neddy cautiously stepped down step by step. Nova looked down at her bow with a strange sense of accomplishment.
“Holy sh*t. I just killed a velociraptor,” Nova said, clearly not knowing it was a Utahraptor and not a Velociraptor.
“Language,” the guy in the black graduation robe snapped. Nova looked up with disgust.
“Who do you think you are— oh. It’s you.”
He was the valedictorian of Aqua High, Borealis. His cold blue eyes stared at Nova with a mixture of skepticism and analysis, as if studying her very thoughts. Nova squinted back.
“What? Got something to say? Like thank you?”
Borealis cleared his throat. “Apologies. I’m Borealis, as you should know. I must thank you for assisting us with that inconvenience. The boy here wouldn’t stop screaming. And from what I’ve heard from him, those foul beasts are pack hunters. It’s a relief more did not arrive in haste of its ”
“Damn, he even speaks obnoxiously,” Nova thought, “What a dunce.”
Borealis turned around and walked off. The other guy noticed and quickly hurried off after him. Nova and Ruby shared a look of disdain at Borealis’ attitude toward them.
“Um. Hello? Where are you going?” Nova asked. Borealis turned back with snide.
“Is it not obvious? Of course, you wouldn’t comprehend. More raptors will come soon. Best to leave now, rather than risk getting caught up in their grasp. So if you don’t want to die, then I advise you to join us. We shall travel and find a good area for a temporary shelter.”
Borealis walked off. The other guy paused in his steps, looking back at the two and wondering if they would come too. Ruby gritted her teeth.
“The nerve of this guy.”
The dodo nodded his head in agreement. “You too, huh?” Nova sighed. “I guess we’re just going to have to put up with him… for now.”
The two girls walked up to the guy. He awkwardly turned back and the three tried their best to keep pace with Borealis, who was in the front of the gang. The half-naked guy anxiously held his hand out to Nova first. Nova reluctantly shook it. Ruby followed suit.
“P— pleasure meeting you two. I’m Neddy. What are your names?”
The two quickly introduced themselves.
“Heh heh… um… well please don’t mind him.” Neddy nodded his head at Borealis. “He thinks everyone is below him or something. But he’s a very tactical survivor, I’ll tell you that much. So you two must have something similar to me…”
Neddy lifted his right wrist, showing his implant. Ruby showed hers too.
“Yep. You got one too. What’s your power?”
“Well, heh heh… it’s kind of odd. I think it has to do with the people around me. The more people around, the brighter it shines. Almost like a tracker! That’s why I screamed for help earlier. I knew someone was around, and I’m so grateful it was you two! I still have to thank you for saving us.”
“No problem,” Nova said, patting him on his bare back. Pat pat! It was clammy and sweaty. Nova decided she would never touch him again for as long as they were on this island.
“Do you know what his power is?” Ruby asked Neddy, nodding her head at Borealis. Neddy scratched his chin.
“I don’t know, actually. He never told me. I don’t even know if he knows.”
The further they walked through the jungle, the more the trees began to part. It was obvious that it was beginning to turn day too. The sun seemed to be rising. Seeing it made Nova just a bit more satisfied with the circumstances.
CRACKLE!
The branches shook just then. A flock of small birds flew out from the leaves. Nova whipped around, spotting a pack of raptors huddled around the corpse of the raptor near the boulder. They all looked about the same size, except one, which was slightly larger than the rest. It barked something at the others, and they quickly dispersed. They hadn’t seemed to notice the survivors at all.
“Whatever,” Nova thought, turning back around.

“The humming is getting louder and more vibrations are coming from it,” Neddy noted as he, Samuel, and the dodo bird walked through the tall grass. Samuel brushed the grass aside with his hands as the two ventured deep into the plateau’s hill. There were large oak trees that spanned across the plain and large rocks too. Samuel noticed strange dinosaurs that stood on their hind legs and had crests on their heads, like the flying ones.
“Parasaurolophus,” Neddy said in awe, “They use the crests on their head to communicate with others.”
Just then, one of the Parasaurs let out a honk of fear. A strange ringing vibrated in Samuel and Neddy’s ears. They both let out shocked cries of pain as they covered their ears to stop the noise.
“What the- What’s going on?” Samuel asked.
“The Parasaurolophus is scared right now,” Neddy explained.
“But by what?”
Samuel’s question was answered, as the pattering of paws on dirt softly whispered in his ears. Something shrieked across the field, as a strange beast with a dog-shaped jaw and huge talons jumped on the Parasaur! The Parasaur fell to the ground as the strange beast began to dig its teeth into its flesh, causing guts and flesh to spill out onto the grass. Samuel could only look on in horror as the Parasaur succumbed to the attack.
“Utahraptor…” Neddy whispered, “The largest dromaeosaurid, so large and so smart they could be deemed as one of the most dangerous predators.”
The raptor tore a chunk of meat off, a look of triumph on its face as it finally caught its prey.
“And they say they could be pack hunters.”
Neddy’s yapping seems to have attracted the attention of the raptor. It turned its head, and upon noticing the two of them it realized an easy meal could be put on its plate if it just went after the two of them.
“Run!” Samuel shouted as he picked up his dodo bird friend.
The two of them dashed for a nearby boulder. Samuel could hear the pounding footsteps of the raptor approaching him closely, and Neddy shouted with all of his breath,
“Utahraptors can run at speeds of up 25 and 30 miles per hour! We need to get to that rock now!” Neddy screamed. Samuel shot his head back for a quick moment, the raptor was gaining on them. Samuel took his rock and hurled it at the utahraptor.
Boof!
The raptor let out a shriek of pain, pausing for a break as it shook its head in pain. With the distraction set in place, the two of them bolted for the boulder. Upon reaching their intended destination, they quickly climbed atop. Samuel looked behind him to see the raptor run up to the rock. The raptor stared at the two for a bit, then jumped up, clawing at the rock as it did so. Neddy let out a shrill scream as it did. Each time the raptor jumped it got closer and closer to reaching the two. They were sitting ducks.
“Oh no what are we gonna do bro?!” Neddy asked fearfully.
Samuel opened his mouth to answer when he felt the hairs on his arms stand up on end. The wind blew his hair to the side just a bit, and it was then a primitive spear soared through the air and struck the raptor in the leg. It let out a cry of pain as it fell off the rock mid-attempt, landing on its other leg wrong. A few arrows with sharp stone tips flew in the air, hitting the raptor, although some hit the ground nearby. The raptor let out a shrill cry as it lay its head on the ground, defeated.
“What the? Who did that?” Neddy asked.
“That was a good shot, Aurora,” a girl said.
“Thanks Ruby, although we couldn’t have made these weapons without you. We have to work on your aim though.”
Two girls emerged from the tall grass, and Samuel studied the two of them intently. They both wore strange makeshift clothing that looked rough and was covered in dirt and grime. One of them had short black hair with streaks of red that was tied in a ponytail. She also wore glasses and she wielded a wooden bow in her hands, a pouch made of animal hide and filled with stone arrows was slung over her shoulder. The other was very very recognizable. Aurora Romero, the valedictorian of Terran High. She had a white piece of her graduation robe banded over her forehead to keep her hair out of her face, and sweat poured down her face. She carried two extra spears that were strapped to her back. Samuel’s eyes darted to both of their wrists. Just like Neddy, they too had the strange implants.
“Who are you guys?” Neddy asked dumbfounded, “Well I know who you are Aurora. I didn’t expect to meet you so soon.”
“I’m Aurora, as you know,” the former valedictorian declared, “And this here is my friend Ruby. The two of us found each other when we both woke up.”
“I’m Samuel,” Samuel introduced himself.
“Neddy,” Neddy blurted, “And, how’d you make those weapons?”
“We’ll explain it all, but we should probably get out of here,” Ruby suggested, “That raptor could get up any moment.”
Everyone agreed with Ruby. So the newly bound quintet quickly took their leave. Aurora led the way, and as they traveled quickly through the tall grass and the plains, she constantly jolted her head up at the skies, as if she was charting something.
Samuel looked behind him one last time, and he could see a pack of Utahraptors meeting together over their fallen comrade. Samuel noticed that one of them was bigger than the others… and a red aura seemed to be dissipating from it.
“Brrrrr,” Samuel thought as he turned around.

Tales of Pandora
Origins of Salizar: chapter 11 ~four deaths~
(New phone, don’t worry if it acts like it’s not me posting this.)
Primalis was shocked at the sudden rush from Salizar, so shocked he fumbled the crossbow, by the time he was ready to shoot it was too late, Salizar leapt on him, knocking him to the ground and ripping the bow from his grasp, he tossed it aside and grabbed Primalis by the collar of his cloak. He yelled in his face, pure instinctual rage clouding his intelligence. “Savage!” Primalis spat. Salizar looked at him with a furious expression of hatred, he took Primalis’s knife case out of his satchel, “THEIF!” Primalis shouted. Salizar opened the case and jabbed two knives into Primalis’s shoulders, pinning him to a nearby tree, he let go of Primalis and took out another knife, he readied the throw. “Please, mercy..” Primalis begged. “Humans, don’t deserve … mercy.” Salizar said, he threw the knife. (Retcon moment.. THIS is the last time he speaks English..)
Three months had passed, the humans had found Primalis’s body and King Drake decided that he got what was coming to him, but the Taskforce was to continue the hunt for Salizar, under the command of Agent Fox. Ryker’s crew stayed in their hideout for most of the time, waiting for their chance to steal the megapithicus key and escape the ark, but the time had come, they were ready to face the dragon. “So, everyone knows the plan?” Ryker asked. “Yes, but the old strategy won’t work anymore, we’re short on men.” Killion said. “Oh Killion, we did this many times before, we don’t need your army.” Ryker said. Ras chuckled. “Trust the boss Killion, he knows what he’s doing.” Asher said. The group walked up to the obelisk podium, Wretch placed the artifacts in the control panel, and they were transported to the arena, the dragon’s lair. “Who dares disturb my slumber!” The dragon shouted. “Cmon bro, cliché line much? Your not even sleeping, your flying..” Ras said. “How dare you!!!” The dragon swooped down towards the crew, he readied a fireball, but he was stopped, Killion had teleport jumped into his wing, causing him immense pain and forcing him to crash, Wretch spat webbing on his snout, stopping him from trying the fireballs again, Asher and Ryker both grabbed his tail, and swung him into a nearby rock formation, the winded and confused dragon never saw Ras coming, he had found knives and intended to use them, the dragon was dead. “I think that was a record!” Ras said triumphantly. “Why don’t we just kill the megapithicus ourselves?” Killion asked. “You know how I hate questions Killion.. but if you must know, that fool Salizar already told the humans of the artifacts, and I’d rather not take on their entire army, it is much simpler to just take from them that which they do not know they have earned.” Ryker explained. Wretch snatched the key out of one of the dragon’s horns and they were shortly teleported out of the arena. “Two down one to go.” Ras said.
It was raining, the light downpour turning the freshly disturbed dirt soft. The tall rock behind the mound read, “here lies Dr. Mune Flight, one of the only two humans who had ever shown compassion. All others will join her.” Salizar stood in front of the grave, some wet black flowers in his hand, he was wearing the skull mask and Primalis’s cloak, he threw the flowers on the grave, thunder crashed, he turned away from the grave, his last shred of humanity buried along with her.
Journey: Chapter 12
Forest and Nightfall walked through the canyon paths that Nightfall said would lead them into the terminal pad for the obelisk. The entire time they were walking through it, Forest felt they were being watched. Forest thought that Nightfall was thinking the same thing. They were getting to a spot where they could see the platform.
“Let’s move faster, I’m starting to get the heeby jeebies.” Nightfall said. They started moving faster. Forest started outrunning Nightfall, Forest then felt a jab and looked back. Nightfall had grabbed on to his back, “Jump the gap!!!!!” Nightfall yelled Forest looked and saw the path winded around the outside and curved into a ramp. The rest was a giant moat around the platform.
Forest continued to sprint and jumped over to the platform. Forest looked back as he landed and saw shadowy bodies run from the top of the cliffs and could hear them yell, “He’s at the terminal!!!!! Get him and the creature he’s with!!!” The voice shouted.
The creatures were working their way around to the cliff side to the paths. Nightfall and Forest got to the terminal in the middle of the pad. “Okay so how did you get here before?? And please hurry up and tell me!!” Nightfall said, “I didn’t do anything, my friend was doing something stupid and crazy and I was trying to stop him!!!” Forest said. “Well what did your friend do? Please hurry up!!!!!” Nightfall said, “Well, he threw the rune at a terminal like this and my other friend touched it as it hit the terminal.” Forest said as he held the rune, the rune was barely glowing. “Okay, than all we have to do is repeat the process!!! Hold and bash it against the terminal!!!” Nightfall said.
Forest hesitated for a moment, he didn’t think it was good idea. He kept thinking about the shadowmane and the rune that killed him. “We have to hurry!!!!!!” Nightfall yelled, “The traitor is there, surround them.” The voice commanded.
Forest snapped out of his fear, he would rather die to the rune than get captured by unknown creatures. He raised the rune over his head, and slammed it against the terminal as hard as he could. The rune was dimmer than it was even earlier, and as the rune hit the terminal. Nothing, absolutely nothing happened.
My friends and I have a private server and the first time we encountered these things was terrifying. While trying to lure it into a trap it proceeded to steal my enforcer and carry it into space. I chased it on my tapajara trying to get it to drop my brand new enforcer. When It was finally dropped it had exactly 27 health remaining. Be careful what mounts you take when trying to take these stressful and terrifying beasties.
I once made a platoon of all flyers these guys ended up being the main things we used (aside from tek tapes) we had pts called spitfires quetzals called millitary air transport and tropeognathus were named after bombers this was all on an official server we ended up getting wiped after killing the alphas with the stratergy
Whoever said that it can be found on mobile and console until crystal isles is released on those platforms, you are wrong. WarDrum is the company that brought us ark mobile. Not WildCard. There has been no updates in mobile regarding free dlc maps(not story). No center, ragnarok or valguero on mobile. Why would it be different for Crystal Isles? If mobile does not contain game dinos we all know like the Thyla, Pego, Ichthyornis, Microraptor, Megalania, and Megatherium. Heck, Ark Mobile does not even have the Island map completed. It is missing 5 caves including the Tek cave. Carno island cave, lost hope lost faith, upper south, tek cave are missing. Bosses cannot be summoned or ascend on mobile. The dungeon feature is unique to mobile and is the only way to get tek.
