You can tame a breeding pair of them, breed a bunch of them, put them on a Quetz platform saddle and then fly it over someone’s base and whistle the troodons to jump out. make sure they’re set to neutral so when the person logs back on they will only get hurt if they want to.

(Or set them to Agressive, I guess)

I did it on a server with friends where turrets are banned so it worked very well and we had a good laugh.

Mostly good for KOing players on PVP. In PVE they don't have much value as a fighter due to their low stats. You can get a pack bonus if you get a large enough group which could be good for hunting, but as a whole there are far better (and easier) options than troodon. They do make adorable pets though.

If you hunt with large dinos, there's no much use for them in pve except making you feel accomplished after you finally tame them. Let me tell ya, it feels good to tame them just because

At night a troodon will not attack you when you hold a torch in your hand and if you fear you will get knicked out by one it is handy to carry a lesser curer on you as that will stop there torpor.

Use fish meat up to juvenile since their food level doesnt go up high like regular tames

Kill them or tame them, never leave them alone no matter the level, on servers with wyverns I capture eggs and feed the defenseless babies to them, they Instatame.

Make a team of these and some diphos and attack some ones base it will work

Theres no safer feeling when leaving your base with 7 or 8 of these guys following you wherever you go. You practically become untouchable

Ok, I see people saying, ‘tame a bunch and use them as guards!’ Or other scenarios where you ‘tame a bunch’. You do not tame these. They will kill you before you know they are there. Most of the time your tame will kill them because they have a small health pool, so people use, like, dodos. A level one troodon will need 2456 level 150 dodos

This is the best guard for your property in PVP, whistled to tame inside the house, on aggression this guy is going to knock out any intruder doesn’t give a chance to wake up! Love this guys!

You dont have to tame them...YOU NEED THEM decent levels can kill a frikin rex and they deal torpor even if you have to feed them baby trikes in neutral they are great things and you can do enclosures for them (Jurassic World XD)

Tapejara can carry these. Worthy addition to your three-friend midnight pego or c4 dodo bombing run. Drop it in their base alongside your other nasties and watch the chaos spiral even further. o7
