The most efficient creature is hands down the Carno. Easy to tame and gives a third of the XP a Wyvern of similar level would give. Just be sure to weaken them beforehand because the night isn't long enough to watch a Troodon eat 3 lvl 200+ Carnos all the way through their 2,4k-4k HP.

Oh and start the tame as soon as the night falls, not sooner, not later.

After fighting one of these I never get of my Dino's with looking around especially at night

If you want to tame these, you need a maximum sucurity prision. You need to throw in the equivalent of 20 dodos and they will be tamed. (Make sure that what you throw in is tamed, it won’t work if they aren’t)

If one of these things bites you, make sure it's dead before you hit the ground or you won't be getting back up.

They are extremely dangerous for anyone with no dinos or dinos on passive.

I recommend running for anyone who is unlucky enough to stumble upon this annoying dino.

Beware everyone! If there is a troodon pack and raptor pack chasing you, they will not kill each other. Instead, they will chase you relentless. If you die or get away, they may fight. But most of the time they just kill other things.

Saw one at level 43 and thought it was just a cute little carnivore. Tried to knock it out... It and three friends came out of nowhere to absolutely kick my ass.

If you're encountering one for the first time, yes, this thing is a lot tinier than you'd think, and a lot more evil!

If you are hit by a Troodon near any body of water get in deep enough that when you pass out it doesn’t confirm the kill and will give you just enough time to wake up and not lose health to lack of oxygen. If hit multiple times get as far away as possible even in water because if you die you can get to your body without dying again and again and again

The only defences against these guys are to either be on a Dino (it inflicts less torpor) or use a flaming torch. I nearly survived by whacking it with my burning brand but I didn’t wake up fast enough

If you see one run just run, because they can knock you out in 10 seconds and keep you there till you die.

Don't stay and fight just run also get movement speed to at least 120 and your good

Have at least 10 fortitude and you can last a hit or two

Usually takes one bite and ur knocked out. During night there eyes glow and they agro easier. During day they are less hostile but they still attack. Also turning ur back to it will make it more hostile but it's a rumor. Nobady has lived to tell if it's true

There scary guys are scard of fire so if you are attackes by them use your torch by hitting it. it will run away but be careful it might come back! Had this happen to me when I was knocked out T-T

These things are like your extremely annoying "friends", they show up at the worst possible times in your life and make you misserable.

He is the resone I tame dodos it attacks the dodo and you run for your life

Run, hope and pray. You don't see these things coming until you're unconscious, so scout them out, and find a safer route around it.

A way to kill them without getting hit is jumping around and hitting it with a pike at the same time
