Tips & Strategies

I just tamed a 120 one.
What I did was I had 3 150+ Baby Brontos in cryopods and a high durability shield and stimulants in my hot bar. Throw the baby Bronto out of the cryopod (with cryo sickness) then let the Troodon out of the cage. Kite the Troodon around your unconscious tame and if you get hit eat a stimulant. (Stimulants prevent you from gaining torpor for a couple seconds as well as lowering your torpor).
When your tame dies throw out your next one and kite around it the same. Do this until it tames.
You need to do everything seperate because for whatever reason if it hits another tame at the same time as killing another one it will reset the xp gain and you wonβt be able to tame it

More Troodon Taming & KO Tips
Tames are friends, not food.
At lvl 72 with flak armor on, a lvl 5 Troodon knocked me out with one attack at night. Last thing I saw was those glowing eyes before passing out. My Guess is that they attack vital organs. Luckily my Doedicarus was up for a game of baseball and launched that little devil out into the stands.
these are tips for taming not sharing your f***ing stories. use the stories category
do people know the difference between TAMING AND KO TIPS and STORYS
Labeled as a βpassive tame.β Yeah, right. Feeding your living pets to a tiny ferocious monster, watching as it chews on their internal organs and slowly rips it apart, still breathing. Passive.
Be sure eggs donβt hatch in daytime hours as caught at the wrong time, even indoors without windows, a new hatched baby can die instantly
It is recommended to only tame troodon during the night, as this will double the taming output it gets from killing creatures. (Dododex correction: taming at night is 2.5x rather than 2x.)
Those eyes, they haunt me even when its venom knocked me out, and is slowly picking off my pack of low-level Allosaurus. Now I have a Troodon... Yay... The Troodon was level 180. My pack of Allosaurus were around level 20. 6 Allosaurus died that evening.

Don't use wyvern to tame. They're worth a lot of xp but it won't attack a knocked out one and my weakened poison wyvern at 156 hp killed the level 140 troodon.
