Utility Tips

What is a triceratops used for? triceratops battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
The trike is a very good tame early game since it is better at gathering berries and thatch than a parasaur. From my experience, the stego isn't buffed on mobile (no plate modes), wich makes a trike more useful in my opinion. You also unlock its saddle at a really low level (16) so it's not difficult to get. They are quite tanky and powerful so it's a good bodyguard against raptors. Dilos don't aggro on it so you don't need to worry about those. I hope this tip was helpful and have a good day!
The Trike is highly underrated. Although slow, it will allow you to journey to relatively dangerous areas early on. With good knock-back on its primary attack, it can knock raptors and theris back without taking a single hit. Just watch that Stamina! You can also kill rexes and take only a few hits.
Level up Stamina and/or melee on the Trike and you will have a great start to your new ARK game!
I like the idea of the trike spear but I think it should be called the trike glaive because the spear and pike have a more straight metal/flint tip but the trikes horn is curved and the glaive tip is more curved like the trikes horn so credits to the person who made the trike spear

Tamed my first one not to long ago after multiple attempts (it fell into a trap I placed before I could lead it there myself). It's even more op when it comes to farming wood then my tek parasuar (RIP teky). One attack in a grove of trees gave several hundred wood and over 2k thatcher.
I strongly recommend everyone to tame this creature and pump stamina weight and a little bit of health and speed as this will turn it into the perfect all around useful mount it's knock back effect , his ability to farm berries and if his weight is high allows him to carry ultimate amounts of resources and survive most predators
Trike is the first good tame you gonna do.
Farmer: Its the best early tame for berries, thatch, wood.
Fighter: Can kill everything smaller than rex-allosaurus with the knockback, so when you get trike the only fear is bronto (dont try fight bronto with it) . And much important, it is one of the few tames that dmg almost in every side of it, front-left-right and UP, doing it a decent fighter against birds too, if i could bring it on caves that no jump needed i wouldn't ask for another tame ever (killing bats)
The downside: its difficult to tame. 1) on hit and run he's gonna outrun you (and other trikes help him too), 2) On 'find a spot and throw him rocks (slingshot) seems good but after he got much torpidity it will run away fast on forest or sea and never see him again 3) Trapping him between wood walls-doorframes would work only if you play on 0-30 levels of creatures, in other case it will fck the wooden building immediately. And stone buildings are very far away when you start game
To sum up, no matter the difficulty of taming, its the best early game you gonna get and i mean it.
It actually pretty easy to tame, you just need tranq arrows, berries, and narcotics. When tamed, gathers wood decently well with charge ability, and should be your general berry collector. You can also use it’s insane knockback and charge to easily juggle enemies. (Watch them try to fight you, lol!) 8 out of 10. Very good.
