Stories Tips

What are some stories about the triceratops? Memorable triceratops stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
I tamed a high level trike, named it Piper and bred it with my other high level trike, Bruce, and got a baby, which I named Colt, but I went out collecting berries and fiber with Piper, and when I got back I left her too far from my base and a T. rex came and killed Piper, I was crushed, so I made a grave for Piper, but then I was making sure my Ice Wyvern, Zane, was in fighting condition, so I used his ice breath but I did it too close to colt and accidentally killed him, so I made a grave for him too, and remembered that he, and his mother are in a better place now.
RIP Piper and Colt
I met Maya when I was out on my pteranodon hunting for meat to fill my trough with. Someone had left this beautiful ocean colored girl in the middle of a spino and raptor infested swamp to starve, and by the time i happened upon her, she was near death. So I hopped off my ptera, nursed her back to health and decided to take her home with me. It would be a challenge with all of the hostiles nearby, and she was likely to get stuck on the giant slabs of rock jutting out of the sandy cliffs, but I had not been able to tame a triceratops thus far and figured the risk would be worth it.
But fate would not make this task easy for me. On the way back to my base, I was knocked off my bird by a kaprosuchus and dragged off into the murky depths of the bog. Helpless, I flailed in the water as my pteranodon watched from the mangroves, set to passive and completely unaware that anything was amiss.
Resigning myself to my fate, I was already charting out my respawn route when I heard an almighty roar behind me, and I stopped stabbing at the kapro’s mouth to see none other than Maya, charging towards us with all her might. With one violent swish of her head, she’d knocked the nettlesome reptile clean into the trees. I was able to use the distraction to climb back on my pteranodon and fly away to safety, with her lumbering behind once she’d made quick work of the unfortunate kapro that had sunk its teeth into my sleeve. That day, she saved me, my bird, and my loot from certain death. She would go on to defend us from several raptors and a therizinosaurus on the way home with hardly a scratch to show for it.
Now, Maya lives in her own little palace I’ve built for her next door to my own dwelling, armored with only the finest ascendant saddle and fed all the mejoberries her heart desires. She’s my favorite girl, and she’ll be with me until the end of my time here on the Island.
And finally, the lessons to be learned here: always set your tames to neutral, and don’t fly too low in the swamp!
With luck, decent level and stats, and some high ground, an 109 took on a 250 alpha carno and lived, that knock back and good timing can juggle it just out of range, scariest 15 minutes of my life, didnt die but Gladius and I sure took our time getting back to base after incurring so much topor just on spamming the head butt alone
It is literally impossible for my trike, Triceratops-level die! to die (pls don’t judge me. You’ll see why I call her that. I know, I thought it was a boy until she laid eggs). When I tamed her, she was like lvl 22. I’ve had her for so long that she’s a higher level than me! (Lvl 46) Wow! She’s an absolute beast. She kills everything. Raptory (lvl 22, Raptor), Triceratops-level die! (lvl 46, Triceratops), and Sarco I (the first, lvl 10, Sarco) are my sacred animals. I’m working on getting keratin/chitin for a ptera saddle. She survived the Megalodon Murders, only hanging on. Because SOMEBODY called my BROTHER sent them chasing a parasaur and it ran into the ocean. My two carboneys died and my pachy died too. So technically it’s a massacre. I’m so grateful. She’s a trooper, and would kill anything for me. Even her own kind.
Whoever said that Titanslayer was miles away, go into your inventory and go to the page with all your health and stuff. Click tames and it will give you a list that’s in order of what animal/Dino you tamed from first to last. If there is no Titanslayer - Triceratops tamed by whatever your name is, that means she’s dead. (If she is, get absolute revenge on whatever killed her, probably a raptor) If you see her name, click that and then click request. It might take, like, one minute, but if you have your trike back. That’s all that matters. I hope she’s alive and well!
;)
I saw one of these when on my level 135 trike, and wanted to kill it. I got too excited and and rushed out to meet it in the shallow water. Turns out it was still deep enough to use its stun attack. I got knocked off and was easily slaughtered. I rushed back to where i spotted it, just in time witness my trike giving the final blow. Man that trike was a trooper. Ima go post this under Baryonyx now.
I took a trike egg to find trikes(I needed keratin) because I knew they would come to me. A level 7 trike canpme after me and it chased me to a cliff. I didn’t use my parachute in time so I lost most of my no. Then 4 trikes were attacking me and my tames. I killed them all in the end, but lost most of my tames. Both of my lystroes, my mesopithecus, and my peachy all died.
Yesterday, me and my level 18 trike, gladiator, were taking a stroll when we saw a level 10 sarco fighting a trike. I didn’t know the trike’s level. I went to help the trike, but when I hit the sarco once, it died. It was probably weakened from the fight, but still. I forgot the meaning of fear.
Found a 135 stuck in some trees near my base, so I planned on taming it. I only had a slingshot at the time, and I know trikes are a nightmare to ko with a slingshot, so I decided to level up until I could get tranqs. When I was finally ready to knock it out, multiple other trikes got stuck in trees nearby, so the wild trike I was going for was mate boosted. This would’ve made it harder to knock out, so I attempted to kill the surrounding trikes. They’re all stuck in trees, right? What could go wrong? The moment I hit one, the 135 and every other trike got out of their tree traps and came charging. I immediately got on my turtle and went into the ocean to drown the ones I didn’t want. It was a nightmare. Apparently, when a charging trike touches water, they turn into a motor boat and comes flying at you faster than they could ever move on land…I got killed instantly, even when riding my turtle. Eventually, I managed to kill all the other trikes, and began to tranq the one I wanted. I had to repair my bow mid-hunt because well that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Either way, the trike was ko’d by the time my final arrow hit, so it’s taming effectiveness plummeted. I decided not to let it wake up because I was already so angry and didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Anyways, the trike is taming rn and I’m still losing my sanity at how difficult this beginner dino is to tame.
There was one in front of my house sooo I tried to tame it(it was level ten)I had a slingshot so I got killed two or three times when i tamed it I named it bob killer I was level thirty one but it was all worth it so the moral is trikes are very good early game tames but make tranqs not like me
Yesterday I was trying to tame a tortle and I'm going back to my base and the notif pops up that "Your Parasaur has killed a triceratops" and at first I thought it was killed by the trike so I was worried and I ran to my base and all of my dinos were crowded around the fence and there was just a dead trike outside of the fence!!! I don’t know how that happened but I got some hide for my turtle saddle
