Triceratops are a verry good starter tame and are verry usefull. When knocking it out aim for the body. Easy tame and the saddle is easy to make. Trust me this is coming from somebody who has played for 4 years and 8 months.

Taming a trike is simple because they aren't really as fast unless they do their charge. All you need is to get to a high place where it cant hit you or get a dino and shoot from it's back and run when it gets close to you. All you need is tranq arrows or a slingshot to knock it out and meoberries.

I once saw one kill a bary... IN THE WATER!?!?!?!? They are not to be underestimated in the wild when your early or even sometimes mid-game.

Just so you know, trikes are well known for rock climbing so don't try taming it from a rock

I use mine to kill troodons my trike is unstoppable and kills every little threat be away that they are slow and and have shit stamina

Get on a mounten shoot it then it can't kill you then run after it then tame it easiest pace is herbivore island

To Tame a Triceratops, you can run in circles and shooting him up at the same time. For the Triceratops it's difficult to .

If you wondering which stats to invest in, I suggest health, stamina and melee damage.

Throw bolas at the trike. Punch until it becomes unconscious. Feed berries until it is full if the unconscious bar falls down punch to bring it back up.

Then keep feeding until full and if the bola breaks shoot another. Keep doing until tamed

Here's an easy way to tame this for beginners.

1. Make a 5 by 3 (or 3 by 3) trap. (Wood is most recommended)

2. Make a ramp going up into the trap

3. Hit the trick make sure there is NOT any other trikes there.

4. Use a SLINGSHOT (25-30 stones) on their BODY (the head takes less damage)

5. Enjoy your trike.

don’t try to tranq it near another trike then they will both attack and don’t say a word about the egg, you’ll die for sure (unless you have a wyvern next to you)
