For all the people who have just started and they are looking around clueless, then here’s how to knockout tame triceratops easily.

Items needed:

-Compound Bow/Crossbow

-Tranq arrows

-A supply of berries (3+)

-Lvl 5+ (surprisingly easy beginner tame, unlike a carnivore)

-About 45-60s total of stamina

-Narcotics/narcoberries (if needed)

-Trike Saddle

How to:

1. First, you position yourself at a safe but sufficient point away from the triceratops.

2. Equip your compound bow or crossbow and load it with tranq arrows.

3. Fire the first arrow.

4. When the triceratops starts chasing you, run away until it stops and walks calmly.

5. Repeat the process until the triceratops is unconscious.

6. While the triceratops is unconscious, walk up to it and access its inventory.

7. Transfer your berries into the triceratops’s inventory.

8. A pink icon of a dinosaur footprint will appear above the unconscious triceratops, surrounded by two bars. One of the bars is pink, and it should match the amount of torpidity (time unconscious) the triceratops has left before it wakes up. The other should be yellow, and it should increase over time. That is the taming bar. The triceratops should eat the berries when its hunger has depleted (see it in triceratops inventory), and each time it eats, the taming bar increases by a little bit.

9. If the triceratops wakes up before the taming bar is complete, then the taming process will reset and you will have to knock it out again.

10. If the triceratops is low on torpidity and is going to wake up before the taming process is complete, then transfer narcotics or narcoberries to the triceratops’s inventory, then force-feed it the narcotics of narcoberries. That should buy you some more time before the triceratops wakes up.

11. If the taming bar is full, then the triceratops will wake up tamed immediately. A box will pop up saying “Name Your Triceratops”. Enter the name of your triceratops and press “Accept” to name. If you are not nearby when the triceratops tames, go to the triceratops’s options, then go to settings, then go to name. That should give you the same pop-up box.

12. Finally, access your triceratops’s inventory, then equip the Trike Saddle to ride it.

You now have a tamed Triceratops!

PS. There are other ways to knock out triceratops, such as a club, fists, or other methods.

What ever you do don't try to bola them bolas don't work on them I tried to do it and instead of trapping him it started chasing me

If you are new you must tame. But there is a fool proof way. Just make a wood taming pen and you should be good. But make a ramp over it to shoot at it from above. ( I know from experience) early game tame but I was scared to tame it at first then when I got the courage I got him. So don’t be scared

Never aim for their head, they have better protection there you,ll be wasting your tranq arrows.

Bro my first harvesting trip with my trike I came home with like 475 of each type of berry

Hello people I’m kai the Dino guy thanks for 31 hits on the carno here’s how to tame a trike folks

1 ofc find a trike make sure he doesn’t have any friends nearby or they will kill you

2 one you have him ready use a cross bow I have very limited cross bows but tranq arrows also work on normal bow * also if high level avoid his atack and club him

3 one knocked out give him some kibble * I don’t know exact kibble name * or s9me berries

4 keep the torpor up with narcoberries narcotics or bio toxin. **bio toxin is best**

5 one tamed trike saddle can be crafted at level 16 and requires 12 engram points one saddle is equipped the trike has a standered horn atack and a charge atack if you swipe back *I DO PLAY ON MOBILE* so I have less ability’s trikes can also gather berries pretty good

A good idea to tame them in your early game is to get up somewhere they can't reach and to pelt them with stones from the slingshot

Remember:DO NOT PICK EGG UP all trike you meet will kill you

Wanna level up your trike and fast? I gots two words for you: Dilo Pack. The dilos will poison your enemies and the trike will finish them off. Never underestimate the power of teamwork.

This is so underrated tamed a 125 and then quickly killed an argy and a carno at the same time just be sure to level health and melee up so the noobs know.

If you want a easy way you can get to a 4rock that is bigger then hem and shoot hem with slingshot

Easy to tame so just tame it. It's the most iconic herbivore dinosaur of all time, and let's be honest.. The just generally the best dinosaur there is. Tame one, and call it Dexter :)

Sometimes they get stuck between trees the. They become easier to tame

I stole a trike’s egg and It charged at me but then I RAN away VERY far from camp and I was safe but not for old because It found me and the trike was like: hello again! You will now die :>.

My advice is to find a trike near a steep cliff and shoot it with rocks until if falls down. This tactic has worked over 5 times for me and I hope will help you

Here's how to tame a triceratops:

1. Definitely don't bola it.

2. I recommend building a trap using stone structures. Like a 4 by 6 foundation, and doorframes for the walls, make it 3 doorframes high. And build some ramps so you can lead the trike into the trap.

3. Shoot it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

4. After it's knocked out, feed it berries, veggies, or preferred kibbles.
