Encountering Tips

How do I kill a titanoboa? titanoboa battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you're in an area that has a lot of these, put stimberries in your hotbar so if you get bit, spam those so you don't knock out, if you knockout, you're dead.
The dossier says:
"Found only in the dark caves of the island"
They are already wrong! It should say something more like:
"Found everywhere but the dark caves of the island, this creature will gladly ruin your day by jumping out and killing you as soon as you even think about going to the swamp. Nearly impossible to tame because it has to be tamed via passive which is very difficult to do. Worst of all you need to feed them fertilized eggs. Why can't it e a little easier?
Snakes... why did it have to be snakes....
⬆️ If you have seen Indiana Jones
These are even more glitchier than the dung beetle because they can clip through/climb over walls 2 high even with roofs, so you have to use spike walls to contain them but if they get aggroed on the spike walls then they will end up dying.
Use ranged weapons against titanoboas and watch your surroundings as the can team up and knock you out.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
If you hear something hissing
You're probably screwed
For new players: do not get hit by this at all or you will get knocked out. It will continue to bite you until you die. Please like this is my first post.
In real life, Titanoboa was fifty feet long and lived in the jungles of Colombia 60 million years ago. It was a massive, definitely rideable monster that could squeeze the living crap out of you.
Ark made it a smol poisoner instead of a giant constrictor. it’s called TITANoboa. It’s supposed to be big.
Other fact: The irl Titanoboa lived alongside and possibly preyed on the irl carbonemys
........fml two of just ate my raptor RIP Bas.
A hiss is all you'll hear
As an indicator I'm here
One bite from my snout
Then it's lights out
And your tamed friends might disappear.
Be sure to bring stim berries! And a gun. And a machete. And a flamethrower. Would you believe me if I said I actually like snakes? ~CL1
If you see one of these don't just run. Turn around walk backwards while using a pike to poke it in the eyes. Keep your distance well and you'll kill it without even taking a hit.
To collect eggs, build a 2 room pen (Dino gates work great as walls and dividers). Agro a bunch of TBs and lead them to one side of the pen then trap them in. Lead them back and forth between the sides as they drop eggs.
If it is a boa, then it should kill with constriction, now venom, boas kill with constriction, vipers kill with venom.
To the guy who said that the ark species are made up they really aren’t there almost all real Dino’s that have lived
I found one in swamp but it uh but my pteranodon and now it’s unconscious and now I’m stuck in the swamp please send help
So here's a very good tip for newbies in ARK swamps.
If hunting, target the Boa first. Make sure you kill them!
Here's why. About the Boas, they have a good poison. They might knock out someone with just 2-3 bites. Not so deadly, but when you're asleep, other predators might kill you. You don't wake up quickly. Bring a good pet and some stimulant. You might need a ranged weapon too.
Boa= Titanoboa
Here’s a good tip for the noobs. If you see one, RUN!!! If it bites you, you’re done for! The venom will put you to sleep and give the snake plenty of time to finish you off. If you do plan on attacking it, use some sorta ranged weapon and don’t let it get close to you.
If you are near a swamp you will eventually run into one of these. Make sure to have stim berries in your hot bar for escaping these monsters. They quickly counter the poison so you dont pass out and become easy prey
A few headshots with even a normal bow can take down high level boas in no time.
If you’re a low level then you’re best bet is throw spears at its head until it’s brains are pouring out. Also decent level baryonyxs make short work of titanoboas
Hope you’re doing well during this pandemic
