If you're a new player, odds are you won't have to deal with these for a while. They're only found in swamps, so you'll never see one in the safer parts of the island. But, if you find yourself up against one, they are slower than they look, and not very strong. A few hits with a slingshot walking backwards will do the trick for beginners. They're barely an issue for more advanced players.

Hi I’m MastaCheeks420… here is my story

One day I ventured into one of the caves that you can find on the missions (ark Mobile) and it was a VERY GOOD place for metal and rocks etc. Only downside was the titanaboa and the spider along with the scorpions (plz don’t judge I can’t remember names) but at the time I didn’t know about them. There was this cliff that I didn’t see and I fell down into it. NOTE: I’m about level 40+ and unlocked the primitive longneck rifle, primitive double barrel shotgun, and primitive crossbow (no attachments). Lucky I had 50 rifle shells and 46 shotgun-shells, with a handful of arrows in the crispy crossbow 🤘. So here is the layout of the cave… and yes I know it’s a freaking essay OK JUST DEAL WITH IT! But anyways the layout is first the cliff… no way up it’s too steap to climb and I had no resources on me other than food and water. So along with the wall on your back you have a front section of a “Y” or aka a fork. So I decide while I’m in there to find the artifact that was in there. I found it and I had just wasted 26 rifle rounds taking out 1000 hp+ scorpions so after the artifact I went to the right side of the “Y” and there is where it all started MY FIRST INCOUNTER WITH THE TITANA BOA!!! No joke I thought the guys were tuff as nails but in all reality they are just a huge target. (Doom music kicks in) With the shotgun I started baiting them around a corner to their demise. I would have to run a few trying to reload the double barrel. But they were just easy targets. The tough ones were the spiders and scorpions. I didn’t want to deal with them so what I did was just full on sprint through the whole thing (stamina is at 240 while speed in near 250 so I’m a speedy boy) but I run, swim and parkour over all the critters and when I get to a choke point I am able to gather some wood and fiber to make 1 spike wall!!! And while the spike is building I have a horde of titana boas and arachnids in a big ol’ wave. Like no joke on each other trying to get a piece of me. So I’m blasting away and as soon as I ran out of shotgun bullets the spike wall was finished! I placed it down at the choke point and all of them died! I was able to rack up 4 LEVELS!!! I made my way out like nothing happened with half health and literally dieing of hunger… I had taken about 400 arrows in all from harvesting the titana boas and 804 chitin from spiders+scorpions!! And on my way out feeling like a champ… and then a level 40 Alfa raptor comes and stomps the crap out of me 🥲

Moral of the story… don’t smoke crack!

I personally just destroy these sneks on my imprinted sarco… Anyway if you gonna use a sarco to kill creatures I have a combo for you: deathroll then IMMEDIATELY click regular attack button and most things are dead by now if not just repeat.

Easiest way to kill these, especially when with tribe mates, it to use Flyers (Argentavis, Pteradon, Tapajara, ect) to inflict large amounts of melee damage into it (Yes, I mean land and deliver some whoop ass). Otherwise, in caves, you can lure them off the edge into Lava pits.

When I see boas I almost all the time run of all else fails and your by your self keep your distance if your not wearing flak or riot it will knock you out if you don't eat some stims

One good way to take them on is to just attack the f***er head on. Sure you might have to take a nap afterwards but atleast the bastard 'll be dead when it happens. Best done when you're against ome or two at a time, and nothing else is too close

Best way to handle titanboas is having a gun or bow. Also because they do way to much torpor Carry tons of stimberries or stimulant in your hot bar. Also be careful if your farming them for eggs, weapons, ext. they are at swamp so watch for leeches and kapros.

Just run. If he hits you once your dead, so don't even bother

I found you can stand back far enough and kill them with spears. Just remember to watch behind you.

It's best to keep them at range with a bow or crossbow, don't try and knock them out at all. Be wary of how quick they can sneak up on you at all times near their spawn location. Keep stimberries on your hot bar so that way you can still access them if you get bit by a Titan as they will usually knock you out. Upgrading your fortitude can counteract this, so definitely put some levels into your fortitude. Titanoboa's are easy to outpace but be very wary as they can climb over most obstacles, so don't bother trying to get them stuck behind a rock as they will just slither over it. Killing these guys is pretty simple with the bow, just run a couple of steps, turn around and fire, and repeat. Be sure to keep an eye on your stamina tho as it is key to not run out whilst fighting titanoboa's.

Me: around 150 titanoboas killed on surface, 27 or 28 titanoboas killed in caves. 72 Boa eggs stolen, 1 spoiled.

Titanoboa: three kills on player*, two sets of equipment: (2 metal hatchets and picks, 4 torches, 1 mastercraft bow, 1 longneck rifle, one set of hide armor and one set of chitin, 1 sword, 1 apprentice crossbow, ammunition including 7 tranq darts and uncountable miscellaneous stuff and resources.) One tamed lv29 wooly rhino, one lv32 otter. (Sadly the last two deaths could have been avoided had the game shut down as i thought instead of running on silently. By the time I returned I could only watch helplessly as my character lies unconscious as my otter bravely but futily tries to defend me from two snakes and die. Then it was my turn.)

*2 times passed out from titanoboa bites early game and died to another predator, but technically not boa kills.

"And u wonder why i don't like these things." Frankly speaking if there's ever a tlc for titanoboas they should at least become tameable on mobile.

That sure was a dangerous base area.

I have to be honest. Having the snake nontameable in ark mobile is ridiculous I mean seriously you should be able to ride the dang snake. It’s big enough for a person to ride it It would be so useful for taming I mean heck one or two hits from it makes me knock out in a matter of seconds They should add that to the mobile game

Wearing flak armor reduces the amount of torpor you get by a shitload, so if you ever plan on going near swamps always make sure to bring a set.

I kill them with my viking axe. Three skill points in fortitude help against knock out. Pikes do less damage, you don‘t need them. If they attack together, use stim or have a friend with you.

A fierce predator, capable of taking almost anything down in a few seconds. Causes much trouble when gathering needed resources in the swamp areas of the island. Relentless, will chase you wherever you go even if it is out of its territory.
