This is for new players to ark. If u are confused on where to find this creature look no further than the big trees in the red woods. If u see a big cat clinging on to the tree u have found it you want to have a high health stat to knock it out because after u shoot at it once it will jump off of the tree and attack u it will inflict bleeding damage and drain through your health very fast if u hit the head just like most creatures in ark it will knock out if it is a high level try to get some high ground or get it stuck between to objects traps work but they are hard to get into the trap so make sure u know the trap works before trying it.

On crystal isles I have crystal wyvern so I just go to desert pick him up and put him in my taming pen made out of stone gateways just make a circle from gateways build a ramp so you can shoot it and you can tame there any dino safely that can be picked up by flyer

Of you are trying to get one off a tree fly over it with a wyvern so when it jumps at you it hits the Wyverns stomach and misses you

They spawn in redwoods on the island and spawn around the green obeisk on scorched earth

It says that you can tame it with titaniboa kibble in mobile does that mean that wildcard is bringing them in on mobile?

Can be fed raw and cooked meat, a level 85 took about 18 tranq darts

Approach from a distance and use darts,also it prefers cooked meat over raw meat so build a fire and start taming.

Taming these on the standard official you can use 14 kibble and 1-2 lamb chop to max starve tame and acquire the max level from taming @150. Tested numerous times without additional multipliers.

For people withot quetzals to trap them in behemoth walls: If you know where it's hanging from a tree, it won't move from that tree until something comes close enough for it to pounce on. Get prepared with >2 bear traps where you want it to run into. Use only (cross)bow and arrows because torpor goes down fast and tranq darts reload too slowly. Make sure you had a bear trap set up behind it because it will run the other direction if you got the torpor high enough. If torpor isn't high enough it will chase you once the trap breaks. Have a trap set in front of you just in case. Guaranteed it'll have lost a lot of health once it's downed so try to build around it to keep it safe.

Best trap to use is to make 4 floors 16 door frames to run out of once u get it in the trap and make 4 ramps best to make it out of stone or wood

My friend and I tamed two 145 thylas within a couple hours of eachother. We’d find them with our argys, then have one guy narrowly escape death while the other rigged bear traps. Then it was a matter of getting aggro and luring it into the minefield. After that, a spike wall around the tame and a preserving bin for meat were what we used for two successful tames. Oh, and don’t forget narcotics. We used roughly 200 each cuz we were using raw prime meat.

Tamed my first one of these by grabbing it in valguro with a level 20 argy picked it up put it in a five wooden billboard trap tamed it . The argy died but it’s ok Cus I love these.

I must have sunk 300+ narcotics into a level 21.

I would highly recommend using these to defend your base on pvp servers just put them on a big wall and set them to aggressive and it will jump of the wall and kill the intruder.

Easy spawn is at rags desert just use metal billboard to trap good luck survivors

These are not that bad to tame... i just fly at the edge of redwoods see if i can spot one. If not, clear out the area for new spawns. It might take some time but it is save(r). Look in the big trees they are not in the thinner trees.

Ones you spot one pick it up of the ground or bait it in a taming pen. Or shoot it down the tree and do the same.

Have some points in movement speed helps..

I use some higher quality leather gear and a pump shotgun when one got me, can easy kill it.

Use cooked mutton to tame.

Yes, i got killed many times by these but with a good shotgun that changes quickly.

I just love these.. there are so strong when high level breeding and imprint. It just takes time or be lucky.

They need to add these to mobile! There so cool!

Every time I want to tame one of these guys they always die from a dire bear, is anyone else experiencing the same thing

Setup a foundation door frames around it and a bear trap on the middle once it is in the bear trap build a forth wall and put a ceiling

If you are trying to take in ragnarok the easiest way with less risk then go to the bottom left of the map and they are found there
