It’s terrifying. I was once riding around on my Galli, when all of a sudden, POUNCE! It jumped on me while my galli was just looking at me. I was able to get away and tranq it snore, I then went and killed a bunch of things, and it became my best friend (galli still watching all this) we’ve been through so much together, when we encountered a few king level 54 Rex in the redwoods. I never saw Slash again.

Once I was scouting the outskirts of the redwoods for the first time, and not 1 minuet in one pounced on me. I had known they pounced on you from trees, but I didn’t know that they where that wide spread. Alas, the power of the Ark gods blessed me, and it did not knock me off my pteredon. I landed on a cliff and Lille’s it with my revolver. I do not go near the redwoods to this day.

@To the person who lost Daniel;

I don’t know if you find him or not still, but I’m gonna tell you something. If you go to your tame slot, it can tell you what mounts you have. Tap/Click on the mount’s name and you can request it. Requesting it means that you can bring a mount towards you, no matter where they are. But the items in its inventory will be lost so be wary. Hope you find him!!
