Setup a foundation door frames around it and a bear trap on the middle once it is in the bear trap build a forth wall and put a ceiling

I was set off on a mission to find Bigfoot with my level 83 Argy I had, as I was soaring through the redwood forest BAM 2 of these beasts jumped at me both level 140 and ripped me off of Argy and I couldn’t tell you how much it scared me but luckily my double barrel and Argy could kill them both leaving me one shot. So yeah DONT FLY IN REDWOODS

These are not that bad to tame... i just fly at the edge of redwoods see if i can spot one. If not, clear out the area for new spawns. It might take some time but it is save(r). Look in the big trees they are not in the thinner trees.

Ones you spot one pick it up of the ground or bait it in a taming pen. Or shoot it down the tree and do the same.

Have some points in movement speed helps..

I use some higher quality leather gear and a pump shotgun when one got me, can easy kill it.

Use cooked mutton to tame.

Yes, i got killed many times by these but with a good shotgun that changes quickly.

I just love these.. there are so strong when high level breeding and imprint. It just takes time or be lucky.

They need to add these to mobile! There so cool!

Every time I want to tame one of these guys they always die from a dire bear, is anyone else experiencing the same thing

If you want any chance of surviving, always bring a sword and some decent armour (maybe 2 pairs) when going through the redwoods.

They can actually take reduced fall damage so use them if your bad with dinos like me!

For Fjordur (found in redwood forest, Vannaland NE):

These guys like to wait below you if you latch onto something with bat. I like to kill all other predators and then latch onto giant tree/mountainside (hit A/X when you see blue crosshair xbox/PSP to latch), then just shoot from bat. If you have extraordinary kibble ready this goes really fast.

If you hit "honey rock" with anklylo you will get a lot of giant bee honey, saves a day with a fridge and/or preserving salt. Combine this with deino eggs found littered in nests all over grasslands you will have the hard ingredients for kibble very easily.

Bats are tamed very easily with a ton of blood packs and a bunch of parachutes. Anklyos can be tamed easily since they can be outrun.

The easier method is with an argie. you need to build a jail for him out of redwood, because it is very dangerous to build there. An 1×1 jail is good, but hard to put him in it, so a 2×2 is better. Thylas can't break stone, and use doorframes, it's cheaper. Then, fly on redwood with an argie (BE CAREFUL, THEY CAN GRAB YOU BY JUMPING FROM TREES, AND IT DEALS A LOOOOOT OF DAMAGES, SO FLY ABOVE THEM) when you find the one you want, make him fall by attacking him. When he's down, you can grab him with argie, and place him in the trap. Knock him down and give him cooked meat. Yes, cooked meat. You have now the coolest creature in ark.

If you are trying to take in ragnarok the easiest way with less risk then go to the bottom left of the map and they are found there

The kibble does not work! You still need to use lamb chops

On Ragnarok it's way easier to spot them in the Desert area instead of the Redwoods. Just pick one up with your Wyvern/Argy/Quetz and bring him to your stone/wood taming pen. He won't climb out of it and he can't fit through doorways.

I was searching for hours in Redwoods but found 5 in 30 mins in the Desert. (It's the middle south part of the Desert)

These things are great for hunting and raiding also traveling I got through red woods easier with a Thylo than a flyer

If you want tane them builed a medium wood structure and ram make shure you have a BUNCH of narcotics or elsa you die and lose it hooe helps :)

Don’t even try to tame this until you have all the right equipment... you probably wont make it out alive

In the redwoods, be sure to fly above the lowest limbs or they will surely jump of the tree and kill you . There's nothing you can do about it. But if you are careful and use a spy glass you can see them on the side of the tree. Then if your using a argi. Just fly above him and pluck him right from the tree. Then take him and drop him in a taming pin. One last thing , don't let him run out of food or you will have to start all over. Happy hunting!

Just don't give them a hug and you will be fine.

Be carful when exploring redwoods expecally when on a bird I've got jumped and we fell in the waterand I had a mini heart attack after encountering one of these so I'm basically scared to go in redwoods with one of these attacking me and falling in the middle of carnos or rexs and getting my face eating alive just saying keep your darn eyes out people they can come out of nowhere.

makes some bear traps then find one and shoot one down with a dart then they will come for you but before that put the bear traps down then when it goes on it build some stone strutures around them
