I actually tamed one of these on accident. I had built a trap for taming a Trike and when searching for one to agro I got jumped at by a Thyla and freaked out and ran to my base but the beast just jumped right into my trap. After that it was easy to knock him out with my tranqs. I named him Cole btw, he was a great guy. But just like any story about your perfect pet on ark.... you lose them. We were on a metal run and I was taking him because he can jump far. When I saw some metal I got off and started hitting it but suddenly I got attacked by 3 terror birds and Cole jumped right off a cliff to catch one. Normally these guys can survive a fall but after saving me from the terror bird he had fallen into a swamp :( . Instantly he was ambushed by a Kapro and two Sarcos. He fought well and killed the first Sarco but in the end he died. I have a gravestone at my old base which reads “ here lies a great frienship that came about by what seems to have been chance but was the invisible connection between him and his soon to be owner that would spend so much time together and still be protecting his beloved friend to his death.” RIP Cole 😰😥😭
This valiant Thyla who life was so unfair to. I just wish I had more time to tell him how much he meant to me. 😟

Chapter twenty four:Blindness
Drums thump in a synchronized beat. Warm wind blows like hot breath. The soft sound of bells ringing echoed through the air. A childish giggle echoes across the meadow.
The grass waves in the wind. A woman stands in the middle of it. Her green eyes narrowed with confusion. A small girl danced in front of her, her green eyes twinkling and her black hair waving in the wind.
“Look!! Look what I can do!!” The little girl giggled, spinning around in a wide circle and dancing across the meadow. “Don’t do that!!” The young woman called. “You’ll get hurt!!” The little girl laughed. “Come dance with me!”
The young woman stared with confusion at the girl who was dancing back up to her. The girl put her small hands into the woman’s “Come. Dance with me. Dancing makes everything better.” A tear slid down the woman’s face and she sank down to the child’s letter.
“I-I can’t.” She cried. The wind spun around, whispering echoing through the fog and the bells ringing louder. The child put her hands on the woman’s tear soaked face.
“I know you can. Let go. It’s easier to forgive then it it to forget. I know you can do it.” The girl whispered, backing off into the fog. “Wait! Don’t leave me!! I don’t know how!!” The woman cried. But the girl was gone. Just like everyone else.
The bells were much louder now and a familiar tune drifted in and out of the rhythm of the bells. The same story. The same song. The same story. The same song. The same story. The same song. *RING DONG!!!!* *RING DONG!!!!* *RING DONG!!!!*

“Rowan?! ROWAN!!!” Cedric bellowed loudly, snapping Rowan out of a daze. Her head shot up and she glared at him. “What?! Are you TRYING to break my ear drums?!” She snapped. “I called you’re name like fifteen times. Are you okay??” Cedric asked. Rowan rolled her eyes. “Ugh whatever. I’m fine.”
They kept walking in silence. Oliver led the group, pushing his glasses up every five seconds nervously. “According to my calculations, we should arrive at the dome in….precisely four days.” He said.
Elayne gave a loud sigh. “Ugh that will take foreeeeeeverrr.” She whined. “It’s not that long!” Liv said from where she was perched on Cedric’s wide shoulders.
“That’s the spirit.” William said, while yawning. Rowan rolled her eyes. “I’m really surprised that William’s not dead yet. So lazy.” Sunny said, as if reading Rowan’s thoughts. “And Kannon.” Rowan muttered under her breath.
They both turned in unison to stare at the mute boy. He was walking in the back of the group, staring up towards the sky. Rowan snorted and looked away. Sunny fixed her attention back on William, her amber brown colored eyes watching him carefully.
“Ooh look a shooting star! Make a wish!” Elayne exclaimed, pointing toward the sky. Sure enough a small speck shot across the sky. Rowan scoffed. “That’s probably a meteorite.” She said. Oliver pushed his glasses back. “Actually all “shooting stars” are meteorites.”
Rowan raised a eye brow at him. “I know this, nerd!” Oliver put his head down and shuffled his feet nervously. Cedric clapped him on the back, chuckling. “Ahh don’t mind her, Oliver. At least she didn’t call you something else. Nerd isn’t that bad. It isn’t like Dummy or Stupid.” Cedric said.
“Or Idiot.” Liv added. “Or Weirdo.” William continued. “Or Useless.” Elayne chimed in. “Or-”
“SHUT UP!!!!” Rowan roared. “I already have a headache and you lunatics aren’t helping.”
The other went silent, most of them snickering under their breath. “Or Fox.” Sunny giggled. Rowan glared at her. “I said shut up!” She hissed. The other stared at her. “What?!” She snapped. They looked away.
“Ugh I can’t wait to get home and away from her. Such a diva.” Elayne muttered, tossing her hair primly. Cedric snorted. Rowan set her jaw with anger.
Cedric yawned, scratching the top of his head. He shifted Liv around on his shoulders and glanced back at Rowan. Her eyes were darting back and forth anxiously and looked like she was muttering foul insults under her breath.
Kannon walked right behind her. Rowan’s blue eyes lifted for a fraction of a second and met Cedric’s in a narrowed stare. Her eyes narrowed with disgust and she looked away.
“What’s her problem?” Cedric wondered in his mind. William whistled as they walked, limping along behind Oliver who led the group. Elayne tripped along beside him, constantly muttering about how she hated this place and tripping over roots and tree branches and other “hidden” things and creatures.
A soft humming came from someone in their group but Cedric was unable to tell who it was. It was a strange tune that he had never heard before. Cedric shivered and shook his head.
Cedric looked backwards. Kannon had stopped moving, his eyes scanned the trees. “Kannon? Helloooo earth to Kannon??” Cedric called. Kannon didn’t move. “Hey. Kannon? You okay?” Oliver asked. They all stopped and stared at Kannon.
Rowan’s foot tapped with impatience. “Come on! We don’t have time for this!” She growled. “Kannon?” William asked. Kannon’s eyes switched to them. He brought his finger to his mouth and then cupped it behind his ear. They all went silent. Cedric could still hear someone humming but he ignored it.

Emma ran her fingers down the small cup that was now empty. She tried focusing on the patterns of the cup. Trying to see it in her mind’s eye. If she could see a simple pattern on a object then she could see less simple things that were more important.
She traced the pattern. Over and over until she began to see it. She inhaled rhythmically, trying to see more than what was in front of her. Dark shapes, humans, lurked in her vision. Blackness. Shadows. Why couldn’t she see more?
“Aunt Emma?” A voice suddenly asked. Emma snapped out of the vision. It was Erin’s voice. “Hey darling. What is it?” Emma asked gently, pushing away her annoyance at being interrupted “I’m cold.” Erin said. “The house is so cold.”
Emma smiled softly and cocked her head. “Why not go get a blanket then?” She asked. Erin giggled. “I’ll go do that.” Emma listened as Erin trotted loudly down the hall.
Emma sighed, wrapping her hands around the cup again. She pulled away quickly. The cup was ice cold now. “What the-” Emma’s head shot up, she cocked it to the side. A soft sound. Like a feather falling.
What was there? Something or someone was in the room. “Hello?” Emma called nervously. She stood to her feet. “Who’s there?! Jay this better not be you.”
She heard the soft sound again.
WATCH OUT!!!!!
A voice suddenly screamed in Emma’s brain. Out of pure instinct Emma leapt backward. A whoosh swished in front of her where she’d just been standing. “Who’s there?” Emma demanded.
A giggle echoed across the room. “Hello Emma. Long time no see.” The voice said. “Who are you?” Emma said. “I’ve never heard you before.” The person remained silent.
“I may not be able to see normally but I can still see you in my own way.”
The voice laughed. “Ahh yes. I forgot. You can’t see. And thanks to me you won’t be able to see “the other way” either.” A cold gust of wind hit Emma suddenly in the face. She gasped as something locked around her throat.
It felt like a hand but it was rougher and it’s nails were sharp and dug into her throat, drawing blood. “Tell me Emma. Do you want to see death?” The voice giggled. “I can see you just fine. Thank you very much.” Emma coughed.
The grip tightened around Emma’s throat. “Oh i see. You’re not afraid of death. Bc you think your silly little medallion will protect you, ehh?”
“Well it won’t protect you from me..” Something suddenly hit Emma’s chest where her medallion rested. It was cold and painful. It sunk into the medallion and through her chest. Emma groaned in pain and tried to pull backwards.
The attacker laughed cruelly. “I’ll ask you again. Do you want to see death Emma?”
Emma gritted her teeth, refusing to answer. Something cold pressed against Emma’s forehead. A flash of light filled her vision, painfully cutting at her eyes. Then shadows began to lurk everywhere she turned.
Her attacker still laughed and was muttering under their breath. And suddenly…everything came into view. Emma could see everything.
The attacker let go of her. Something hung from Emma’s neck. Her medallion. A White crystalish substance had cracked the surface of it. Emma could feel where it had touched her chest, inhaling deeply. She could see…normally? But couldn’t feel anything, she felt numb, unable to see the past or anything that might be about to happen.
The attacker smiled softly, their bright eyes glimmering. They licked their lips. “Now nothing can stand in my way.” It said, it’s mouth barely moving as it spoke. “What. Are. You.” Emma gasped. She leaned against the floor, blinking at the dazzling lights that hit her eyes.
The attacker watched her, its eyes flickering with delight. “Who. Are. You.” Emma wheezed once more. “You’ll know soon enough. And by the way…say hi to Andrew for me.” Then suddenly with a quick lunge the attacker hit Emma and everything went black.
~
Emma awoke a few minutes later. She was lying on her back, facing the ceiling. Something warm and wet dripped from her neck. Emma reached for it with a limp hand and dipped her finger in it before holding it up to her face.
It was a thick red liquid. Blood. Emma dropped her hand back to her side, still squinting at the light. The attacker was gone. Black clouds dipped in and out of her vision.
Small footsteps pattered down the hall. “Aunt Emma I can’t find my—” Erin, for that was who it was, stopped. She ran to Emma’s side. “Aunt Emma!! Are you okay?!” Erin exclaimed. Emma smiled weakly as more blood began to gush from her neck. She coughed, wincing from pain.
“I’ll be right back!! I’ll get help!” Erin told her, running from the room quickly. “Emma.” A man’s voice whispered. Emma turned her head to the side slightly. A man with sandy blonde hair and beard and forest green eyes watched her, his skin lightly tanned and his nose slightly lumpish.
Emma blinked and he was gone. “Emma!!!” A high pitched scream echoed. Emma immediately recognized her sister’s high pitched voice. Josephine collapsed at Emma’s side, her face pale and slightly wet from tears from earlier.
Her hazel eyes were bloodshot and new tears gathered underneath them. “Josephina.” Emma said, unable to speak any louder than a whisper. “What happened? And your eyes..it’s gonna be okay right Emma?
“Right?! This can be fixed! We need to-to get Nora!! She can help Emma! Or the medallion!” Josephine said, her voice raising its pitch even higher as she grew more hysterical. Emma rested her hand limply on top of her sister’s. She could feel the blood in her body slowly draining.
This was more painful then a quick death. This was intentionally laid out so it would be long and suffering. “Who did to you?” Josephina said. Emma inhaled slowly. “I don’t. Know. I can’t see them. And now I can’t see. Anything. I’m….blind.”
Josephina’s brow furrowed with worry. “Guards!! Send for Nora!!! Quickly!!” She screeched. There was no answer. The castle was relatively empty so to search teams and such looking for Willow and Camille. Brutus nudged Josephine’s arm with his nose. “I’ll go.” He said, then ran off.
Emma tightened her grip around Josephina’s hand. “It’s too late, sister. The deed has been done.” Emma whispered. “NO! No no no no no not again!! You can’t leave me Emma! Please!!” Josephina begged, sobbing.
Emma went back to facing the ceiling, hiding the tears that were coming in her own eyes. Not for her. But for Josephina. For her family. For those who needed her.
“Would you like to see death, Emma?” The voice echoed. Emma let go of Josephina’s hand briefly and reached for her medallion. With a quick yank Emma pulled the old trinket from her neck. She pressed it into Josephina’s hand, though it was soaked with blood.
Josephina’s eyes widened. Emma swallowed as a lump of blood filled her mouth, trying to speak. “Don’t-don’t cry for me Josephina.” Emma gasped. “Cry for those who will die if we don’t end this. That attacker, that lurks in the dark,—find them.
“They travel. Searching for its prey. Once it latches down on it…it’s all over.” Emma stopped, going into a fit of coughing. She rolled over to face Josephina, but still squeezing her hand, coughing up blood. It splattered all over Josephina and little Erin.
Erin clung to Josephina, her eyes wide with fear. “Please don’t go Aunt Emma! Mommy said I have to protect you!” She cried, latching unto Emma and hugging her.
A shard of pain hit Emma and she breathed in. She stroked her niece’s head gently but her eyes were locked on Josephina. “Remember to..” Emma stopped Mid-sentence. Tears rolled down her face and she smiled softly before going still, her eyes still on Josephina.
Josephina buckled over in pain and grief. “Emma!!!!” She sobbed, hugging her limp lifeless sister to her chest. “Don’t leave me!!! I can’t lose you too!! Please!! Emma I need you!!”
Erin cried softly in the corner. Heavy footsteps ran down the hall. Brutus charged in, Nora behind him, looking weary, along with Jay and Sylvia. “We’re here! Had to take a portal and—” Jay stopped. Sylvia grasped his arm to steady herself. Nora leaned down beside Emma. Her medallion lit up, a vibrant purple.
She held her hands over Emma. Slowly the blood melted away and the wound in Emma’s neck healed. But Emma did not move. Nora shook her head sadly and turned to Josephina. “I’m sorry. But my abilities only heal surface wounds. They can’t heal death. Nothing can, I’m afraid.”
i once had a Thyla called Mango. Mango was light orange with brown stripes. Then I found a black female thyla who had rlly good stats. I built a zoo at that time and I had them all on wandering to make it realistic but I forgot to neuter my thylas… now mango and nyx (the black one) have millions of children. (They had triplets) I named them Orange, Banana and Maple Syrup. I love my triplets and my Thylas. So once the triplets grew up, I took Maple Syrup on a trip to my friend’s base across the ocean. My Wyvern dropped them in the ocean and they got attacked by a megalodon and killed. R.I.P Maple Syrup. 1 like = 1 flower for Maple Syrup.
Me and my friend started a server. We managed to clutch tame a 162 thyla. After she nearly attacked or knocked out carno. After dealing with 2 golems we finally got her tamed. We named her queen. She was a champ... We loved her. She helped us defeat the ice queen on rag several times. Thyla blood op am i right. We used her on the golem boss. We defeated it.... As we were leaving.... I was jumping a gap of lava.... A lag spike hit rubber banding me back... She fell into the lava... She gave her life so i could grapple to safety.... We have a grave set up for her on her favourite spot.... She leaves us with her children... Mutated thylas named ruby shade and topaz..

Journey Chapter 19
Coal was confused, he had been carried for an hour by this creature. It was grunting as it carried him away from the castle. “Where are you taking me, I need to go back!!” Coal shouted, the creature didn’t hesitate. “Let me go!!!! I am the prince of the late Emperor Avalanche!” Coal shouted again, the creature still didn’t hesitate.
He was carried for a while long until the creature went down a tunnel and dropped him when they reached the end of the tunnel. “Finally, now what was your idea of taking me from my ho-. Bramble??” Coal said in shock, sure enough it was Bramble and he had taken Coal to his home.
“Well it’s good to see you too. At least I could get a thank you for saving your life.” Bramble said, Coal chuckled irritatedly.
“My father just died in front of me Bramble!! I’m sorry but I don’t see you ‘saving’ me when my people needing me the most as something I should thank you for. If anyone why didn’t you save my father!!” Coal said.
“Oh well, Sorry for saving your life then, you were just about to hit with a blast of ice and I didn’t want to see another person I know die.” Bramble said angrily, Coal lowered his head.
“Thank you.. for saving me.” He squawked.
“Well you’re welcome. I’m sorry about your father Coal.”Bramble said.
“Thank you. What were you doing over there when Fenrisulfr came though?” Coal asked,
“Well a friend of ours and the Five said that he saw Fenrisulfr come out of the Bifrost and saw him go eastward. And he told me to go and warn you and your father about it, but when I got there. I was too late.” Bramble said.
“Who was this friend?” Coal asked, “That.. would have been me.” A voice said. Coal turned to see someone who he didn’t recognize, a carnotaurus.
Coal continued to look at the carnotaurus to see if he could recognize him to again to make sure he wouldn’t make a fool of himself.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I know you. Who are you?” Coal asked.
“Oh, my name is Basil.” The carno said, “And how do yo-. Your name is Basil?” Coal said surprised.
“Yeah?” Basil said,
“Basil as in the brother of Spark?” Coal asked. “Yes, I’m Spark’s brother.” Basil said.
“Why have you been hiding? Your sister has been hunting you down across Fjordur!” Coal said.
“I’m not ready, I am just not ready to see her or talk to her. Especially since she is now apart of the Five. I feel like… like I failed her as a brother. And I don’t know what she would do.” Basil said,
“Okay, I can understand stand that. But she loves you, you know. Why else would she be hunting you down across Fjordur and the realms. Speaking of, where have you been hiding that she hasn’t found you?” Coal asked.
“Here.” Basil said,
“You mean in the redwoods?” Coal said.
“No, in Brambles burrow. I heard that he helped you and the Five, so I came here and asked if I could hide here until I was ready.” Basil said.
“When he came to me and asked to hide here, I told him it would probably only last a week before she looks here. I was surprised that a month passed and she still didn’t come to me to ask. Let alone a year.” Bramble said chuckling.
“Well I stayed here for several weeks and barely remember where your burrow is. Maybe she just couldn’t remember where it was.” Coal said.
“Okay, can we please get back on topic.” Basil said cutting in,
“Now I was on the edge of Vennaland and Runheimr when I saw a giant wolf enter into Runheimr.” Basil continued.
“Okay, well then how did you get to Bramble tell him about Fanrisulfr?” Coal questioned Basil,
“I got to him only a couple hours before you got here. It wasn’t much time to waste. I didn’t know where it was going but I knew it would be a matter of time before it would go to the terror bird kingdom.” Basil said.
“As soon as he came to me, I ran and found you and saved you from getting hurt or killed.” Bramble said.
“Okay, since we are all caught up and we know that everyone here is not a threat at the moment. What is our next plan?” Coal put forward.
“What do you mean at th-”
“I am kidding Basil. But I’m not kidding about the fact that we are in danger here and that we need to make a plan to escape and get help.” Coal continued cutting off Basil.
“Might I suggest that we do what we did last time we had to do something like this.” Bramble suggested,
“Good idea Bramble we do what we did with the Five.” Coal said.
“What was that?” Basil asked cautiously, “We’ll leave at night and head to the Shadowmane Tribe, and this time me and Bramble will both make it there.” Coal said confidently.
I named me Thyla Cole after the one who died. Mine is orange with light orange stripes, a white chin, white paws, and white tummy. His wife, Scarlett is purple-pink and black. Their child is (btw there is a different tip about them) Kai, looks like mum but has white chin, tummy, and paws like her dad. My dream is to do a “swamp run” with them and kill every Kapro and sarco and Titanoboa and baryonyx to avenge the original Cole. 🫡 you had a good life Cole. R.I.P.
