Rip cole the thylacoleo u live god life 🙏 💔
Go faster than sonic and keemstar if you encounter one in the wild they will chop you apart if they get their hands on you
Ah, yes, the flying sabretooths of Ark. Be prepared to be jumpscared by a godd**n kangasuchutoothleo while peacefully walking through the woods.
Rip Cole we thank thee for your service…🥺😔
How To Tame A Thylacoleo:
1. Make a bear trap and crossbow with tranq arrows or a longneck with tranq darts
2. Go into the Redwoods on any map, DO NOT fly on anything because the Thylacoleo can jump out of trees and take out your flyer, on Scorched Earth it spawns pretty close to the Wyvern Trench, so be careful
3. Look for a decent Thyla, I’d recommend 145-150 you can usually find them chasing a Gallimimus
4. Place down a bear trap and lure the Thyla into the trap
5. Repeatedly shoot it in the head with whatever you’re using to knock it out
6. Once it’s knocked out, place COOKED meat in its inventory, it’s the only creature that prefers cooked meat over raw. You can also use Extraordinary kibble, which is produced by Magmasaur, Yutyrannus, Deinonychus, Rock Drake, Wyverns and Hespornis(golden egg)
7. Name your new Thylacoleo! It provides a bleeding effect to any wild creature, it can also climb vertical surfaces and pounce on creatures, it’s one of the best cave clearers out there!

The Thyla is an impressive creature to tame, so here is a guide to it. #1. The thyla is found in the Redwoods, and the Desert, and is aggressive. They will cause a bleed effect when they attack you, so be careful. #2. The Thyla will jump on you if you are riding anything in the redwoods, so be cautious. They can be lured into a trap, mostly a 4x4 stone one with doorframes 2 high. They are incredible when tamed, as they can climb rocks and trees, but only straight. Their saddle is only at Level 51. #3. It can harvest lots of meat and hide, so if you go out to grind meat, use a Thyla to do so. As impressive as they are, I would not recommend them for any boss fight: Leave that to rexes, yutys, daedons, etc. This is my guide to the thyla, and I hope you like it! Signed, Pickle844Luvr
Today I learned they can and will happily pop you off your Giga and snack on you face while the Giga watches.
DON’T FLY THROUGH THE REDWOODS is not a a joke. I was a fool and thought: ‘hey, if I look around for them I can fly through the forest on my argentavis without getting ambushed by a thyla, right?’. Wrong. You can’t see the kinkajou bears coming, my friend. You’re feeling like master of the forest until a furry torpedo yeets you off your mount at Mach Jesus. I speak from experience. I’ve been made into a piece of bacon by these guys on more than one occasion. Just use a rex.
If you have a rhynio you can easily tame without any bear traps (it will run away when low so you might as well have some bear traps u can still chase it while shooting) just try to get the thyla down the big tree and then while mounted on your rhynio look down fully to the floor then in the air start shooting it with whatever you are using and then when it's knocked out just feed him (skill issue if you lose the rhynio or die btw u can us a big dino or small better bog dino as bait to get it to leave the tree.)
Had just finished farming crystals and metal on the mountain in the Redwoods, was flying back to my base with my Argy carrying my Ankylo when one of these f*ckers jumped out of nowhere, pinned me down and killed me. I thought my dinos were done for, flew back as quick as I could with my Ptera and just as I got there luckily my Argy-Ankylo duo managed to kill the oversized cat.
Rip cole😢😢 A great Thyla who deserved better
They do a bleed now, be careful!
To pay your respects to Daniel click up button😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥 and for the one who lost the most enjoy the mini thylacoleo 🐯
I have a love-hate relationship with these dudes. One of the best tames there is but HORRID when wild. Do. Not. Fly. In. The. Redwoods. Period. Tame yourself a High level pair, male female, of thylas, breed them, and you’ll have yourself a taming buddy, fun when you get bored, can-tank-anything-all day (except wild gigas) pal for life. Watch the trees y'all. They’ve got eyes.
They are definitely intimidating to try and tame. And they make it hard to fly through the redwood. But I find if you fly slowly through the redwood on a argy or something that can carry a parasaour while in turret mode it will light these bad boys up. So you know where they are at. That being said they also make a distinct sound when they leap off a tree trying to get you. Anyways make sure to take a bear trap or a trap with you if you plan to tame one. And don't forget to bring your narcotic!
Me flying casually through the redwoods : Can’t go 10 steps before getting torn to shreds by an overgrown kitty cat
Me actually trying to find a thyla to tame it : Can’t go go 3 times around every single tree but still can’t find any…
And that’s why I’m always looking for a thyla… it’s safer… I even made my base in the redwoods to better look for them, and almost never got jumped on…
