You can shoot it with a net then tranq dart it and done.
Have your friend carry you with an argentavis so you won't get hit by its secondary torpor attack and shoot tranc arrows down at its head
What my friends do is we get electric prods from mantas and knock it out that way. Other way except tranq darts xan kill the thorny dragon.
Pro tip:This one are easy to tame if you stand on a rock with a boomerang/bow/crossbow/rifle(crouch when he shoots thorns to avoid getting tranq and falling into his very extremely dangerous gums)and throw/shoot at it, just go for low levels if you are being
Get it to agro on your arge then knock it out
When you knock one out just give them meat and narcotics because it usually sometimes take 2 ark days to get one.A
Be sure to bring tranq arrows and narcotics and be sure to run when dino is angry!
If you take it you should go to the movies and then catch up on some Netflix.
Sit on a high rock and shoot with tranq arrows it's ez if you can fly

You should shoot it through a crack in two rocks and theuthem for cover from thorns. Easy time or kill!

The the ranged attack is quite good for mid to close range. However, long range is a bit more difficult to use because the thorns spread out the further they go.
You should be able to find them on mobile! It could be a ankylo bruh
How to tame:
Step 1: Find one (They are found in SE and Rangarok
Step 2: Feed it all your allies and dinos (Let it kill all of your tamed dinos and tribemates)

When i heard of the thorny dragon, I thought it meant a flying dragon with spikes not a porky pine.
Raw mutton drops the taming effectiveness to 40% not 94%
