How to tame a tapejara

1: get the supplies witch are rare flowers,bollas,Something to kill and protect you’re self and finally something to knock it out I used tranq darts.

2: kill every thing in the area and I mean everything even dodos.If there is something you think you can’t kill like a Rex just tame it somewhere else.

3: Go near the tapejara and eat the rare flower.Now it will follow you and try attacking you.

4: Try to bolla it and once you do tranq it out.(bring more bollas in case it gets out of the first one)

5: Finally feed it the food you have for it then there you go you have a tapejera.

If you have any points in Melee dont try to beat it to knock it out, i got so close to taming a beautiful one, but my club killed it (I only had 4 points in) now they don’t spawn at all...any advice on where to find them away from the blue obelisk in the center?

Best way to tame these now is to eat rare mushrooms near it as it will now attack you then just lead it somewhere safe to ko and tame it

If you are fighting with your friend with dinosaur you should get the best dinosaur

Best way to tam3 is get on a pteranodon follow one land shoot the tape with a dodo arrow and lead it into a trap easy tame just make sure you have enough health ( they don’t like being shot by dodo arrows)

Bola it, and tranq. I got really lucky and got an ascendant bow when I was lvl 10 so it’s not hard for me but if you don’t have one(you probably don’t) just bola and tranq. Remember if you don’t have regular prime meat USE PRIME FISH it’s only slightly worse than regular prime meat and kill salmon and use sickle salmon are everywhere

Normal bolas for some reason don't work on them for me.

Still no saddle engram for primitive servers on Xbox, it's been out for a while.

If it's possible to have a Quetz on the server you're trying to tame it on, have a platform saddle on the Quetz and start by putting foundations(and if needed) ceilings in a 4x4 square on the platform next use door frames and put them stacked 3 high on all sides then put ceilings to cover the top and then find a Tapejara you want to tame and fly straight behind it, after a few attempts(or maybe the first time for some people) the Tapejara will glitch through the door frames making it trapped and after that you can knock it out and begin taming. WARNING: if possible try not to be next to Tapejara when knocking it out it has a chance of making you glitch through the foundations and your Quetz causing you to fall to your death, I recommend after trapping it fly down near the ground and start knocking it out. Bola it and knock it out it’s not that hard

Soooo eezy there are two ways take an argie and kill one and resurrect at obelisk and bola and tame with all kibble and u can use chef station for it and the second u need chilliest go to green obelisk bola nick out with one tranq to the head and feed it allo kibble only two for a level 4 and boom u have a tape and don’t forget to do the thin air pursuit to get a journeyman one and 10 parachutes

You can tame these early game you just need a bola and a club and hit it in the head you can use sleepy berries but I recommend sleepy juice (narcotic) of bio toxin if there is Cnidaria close to beach then do a long bola snipe shot then smack it in the head with the club then wait and

Dress up in full gillie armor then slowly crouch up behind it.You can use a bola for higher level tapajarars but I recommend to shoot the low level ones in the head

I seen 100 of these tapejara so I decided to get one then I came across one so I Bola it and it took 3 trank arrows so I fed it meat but a t rex came near me so I panicked but it ignored me and then a level 130 t rex came it almost saw me but by the time it got really close my tapejara tamed so I ran away avoiding the t rex

After you manage to find one of these (usually high in the air, above quetzals. I've had the most luck around 50, 50) you'll want to make a trap. A Trapejara. Make a 3x3 cage out of doorways and put a ceiling on it.

Find your victim.

Fly level to it, using the back center doorway to line it up. Now for the chase, you'll want a quetzal with... a lot of movement speed. Mine is 211 and I struggle sometimes. Fly straight for the Tapejara, and once it clips into the structure, GET OFF OF THE QUETZAL. Your new buddy is trapped and afraid.

If you fail, let it fly out of render distance and try again. It won't be aggro'd anymore and it'll be flying normally do you have another shot.

If you just want to keep chasing it, wait about 15 seconds and it'll re-aggro, pausing for a second to do an animation. This is when I usually catch them.

Just run at it like crazy and when it does the animation before it flies bola it then shoot it in the head with any bow with tranq arrows
