Using a rare flower near this creature will agro it to you making it very easy to fly into a capture pen. Once inside the pen it's very easy to knockout with and keep protected. A longneck rifle with tranq darts is most effective. Be cautious of using a rare flower because it will also agro most dinos in the vicinity of you.

New best way to tame them safely:

1. Use any flyer, when u r near one feed rare flower to ur flyer.

2. It will agro on ur flyer, fly back to safe place(or base) use extra flowers if de-agroed.

3. Unmount flyer and shoot darts to make it unconsious.

Eat a rare flower to aggro it and then atempt to use a bold on it. From there you can punch it unconsious ( if low level )

If it's flying just fly up to it then eat a rare flower then have it chase you to a taming pen or Dino pen it stops attacking when the effect wears off. The pen does need to be fully enclosed then tranq away. Stupid easy tame no bolas or ghillie needed just make sure to fly high and come straight down to your pen as other animals will Agro from rare flower effect.

If you eat rare flowers the tapejara will become aggressive towards you. Excellent for taming.

Build a little pen, then jump onto a ptera, get close to the tapejara, and eat a rare flower. It'll cause the tapejara to follow and attack you, but it can attract other creatures as well, so be careful.

A good way to tame a Tapejara is using a stegosaurus or a Turtle and feed it rare mushrooms or use phenomena darts so the tapi attack that Dino just make sure that your Dino has good health and use tranq dart not

arrows so you don't kill him/her

I saw some comments said that it's really hard to tame(ko), but actually it's not. Just fly straight to it and consume flowers and make it attack you(damage is pretty low, no worry at all), and then lure it in to your pen(better build it bigger to have a greater chance to trap it), close the gate, and then take your time taming it

If you have problems with his speed, you can eat rare flowers to get it attacking you. Now you can trap it with a bola or something else. It works :)

Use rare flowers to get the agro and lead it into a cage and tranq it.

Clear area of creatures except for the tapejara then consume rare flower and it will come for you. This can be done on multiplayer with an argy when the rider pickes up the other player who has consumed a rare flower while. The player who is being carried will fire arrows and darts to knock it out. Protect it while it is unconscious. When tamed have fun.

Best way to now tame these is to either approach on a flyer or sneak up to a landed one and eat rare flowers to aggro it, fly/run it into a Taming pen and tranq out just make sure to keep eating flowers to keep the aggro

Now that Rare Flowers agitate wild dinosaurs, you could use them to lure a Tapejara into a pen.

I noticed that they flee when you get close. My one was high in the sky above the ocean so I used a rare flower to agro it and i kited it to the ground, using my Ptera as bait and bola'd it. My Ptera died but I got a Tapejara for it. RIP Ptera.

Use rare flowers while on a flyer and lead it into a 2x6 taming pin. It's difficult to get into the pin do to the speed but if you have plenty of rare flowers you'll be fine...

The best way to tame a tapejara after the patch to rare flowers is to use a pteranodon to get close, eat a rare flower, and watch the thing try to rip your face off. A tame pen is advised as well as a high level pteranodon or flier otherwise you have to explain why you and your tame got killed by a Dino that runs away from people.

Instead of trying to sneak up on it, have an open taming pen ready, use a pteranodon and eat some rare flowers. The Tapejara will aggro and you lead it home. Viola, captured pterosaur.
