Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a tapejara? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a tapejara.
Best way to tame: Eat flowers and fly to your closed base. The Tape can't fly away and it is protected.
On Ragnarok, always carry some bolas on your griffin. Bola it, then tranq it off the back of your griffin. Super easy. Thank me later, and vote up ;)
Find one using a flying tame with high-ish health. Once you find one, consume a rare flower and it will attack you. Kite it to a safer area or a taming pen while continuing to consume rare flowers. Be prepared to bola the tappy once at desired location, it can be tricky trying to bola a tappy when it is attacking.
Good luck, happy taming.
An easy way to tame this is to use a rare flower to get it to aggro you. Just use a bola while it's attacking you and put a couple of arrows into it's head (be sure to check how many, it dies easily)
Super difficult mobile tames so ima do mobile players a favor. Ima do the ghillie suit tame and no suit tame. With gillie suit it is important you don’t bring a pet close to it. It will heed no attention to you but get scared by the pet and fly away. Bola the tapejara and knock it out with preferably a rifle with darts. If you just start out and seriously want one then here u go. Find a tapejara and keep your distance. Seriously. After you pull off a successful bola throw, hurry and start beating the heck out of it with a club. There u go. The taming part isn’t as hard but the knocking out part is difficult. Also a little pro tip, for mobile players, dunno if it works on other consoles, but if it sees you, let it fly out of the render distance so it “disappears” after you do that, run toward the direction it flew in and voila it is not scared anymore. Hope this helped!
Best method of taming in my experience is to fly up to it with a high stamina bird, then eat rare flowers and kite it to somewhere safe. Proceed to bola it and tranq it out. To find a safe place may take 20 or so rare flowers so come equip!
Best tip is to use flowers.. make a trap take flowers till ya in the trap and close doors.. just stay in there on ya argy or owl or what ever.. after a short time it will drop agro.. jump on ya bird and knock it out.. open doors fly your tame out close doors and wait.. feed bird and boom easiest tappy tame u will ever do
Eat 4 Rare Flowers an let it chase you into a trap, Boom easy KO
If it flies up into the air and won’t land, use your argy to get somewhat close to it (don’t spook it) and use rare flowers. It will aggro onto you so you can lead it to a safe place to bola it and then shoot with tranq arrows or darts to the head. This is the easiest way to solo tame that I have found.
The dex is wrong here, on 8x it say you'll need 6 raw mutton but i only needed 3.
How to tame: first get craft cross bow then craft shocking arrows) after that go to green obelisk) then craft 2 parachuts) after go on an argientavis then go very high up once you’ve found one go higher then get your parachute jump off) then use your crossbow and knock it out) then just put some mutton in:
This is the hardest tame of all time
Consume Rare Flower to make it attack you, then go down Bola it
To tame one of this you need a bolas and try not to scare this tapejara cause I tried this before, and after it’s knock out don’t leave it unprotected because when you knock it out it has low health
EXTREMLY JUMPY so bola it and punch It don’t leave it un guarded i learned the hard way (rip Tanya and ptravis)
Eat a rare flower and while it’s chasing you turn around and throw a bola
Set tame on passive. Fly past, eat rare flower, land, use bola and a club. Go find Ovis, easy tame, stays unconscious for ages
Use rarw flowers on your mount, then it will attack your dino. Bola it while it attacks your dino. Then tranq it.
I would just trade one there very good and fast if not just shoot the crap out of it with a longneck rifle with tranks :)))
To knock it out go near it and eat a rare flower. Once it attacks you bola it and shoot it with tranqs.
