Wear ghillie armor and cautiously approach a landed Tapejara, then use a bola to immobilize it. Knock it unconscious with tranquilizer darts rather than arrows, allowing time between shots to avoid killing it. Protect the fragile unconscious creature with barriers or a trap, then feed it meat and monitor its torpor until it is tamed.
