Once it is KO’d, build spike walls around it so that things like raptors and compys can’t eat it, as they have extremely low health after being knocked out. Keep in mind this will not always work, because some creatures, such as troodons can leap, meaning you should still keep an eye on it. I learned that the hard way. A got rid of the troodon with on 8.1 health left on my tapejara. I did manage to get him tamed up though!

They are a really good flying dinosaur because it can hold up to 3 people on it witch is really good if you want to have your friends shooting off the back of it it’s also good for taming other dinosaurs if you have friends shooting at that dinosaur you’re trying to tame really good In my opinion 😀😀😀

(In mobile) If you encounter high level tapezara make sure you brought food enough to tame. If you knock out and ran out of food and go back home to get food and get back, you'll regret it afterwards.

You might wanna crouch before getting close to these bad boys. I'm new to the game and I heard these birds can do wonderous things so I tried to hunt for them but everytime I get close they fly away. I tried an air chase but I always lose them in the trees.

But you don't have to worry about me. I had all that trouble so you wouldn't. Crouch, Bola, Tranq and happy hunting.

Usually found pretty high up on mobile , so I suggest getting a quetz with pumped movement speed and a plat saddle to tame , sometimes found on the ground it's very rare.make sure to follow it on the way down!!

The only thing I have to knock these out is a wooden club,I tried it once I doesn’t works.I just take very less damage.

You can use RARE FLOWERS to lead it into a taming pen.

Best way imo to knock one of these is to eat some rare flowers so he will attack you instead of running away, either lure him into a trap or just bola it then shoot around 5 arrows, bola again and repeat til knocked

To trap it grab it with a megalosaurus before it flies away

Easy Tapejara tame. Eat a rare flower x2 then have your owl next to you mount the owl freeze the tapejara bola it and whip out the tranqs then put WOODEN Spikes around it and go get mutton then come back to your tape and tame it. I highly recommend you get a tapejara the have excellent flight control and decent base weight.

How to tame easily

1.Wear Ghillie armor (full set)

2.Craft a bola.

3.Drag Tranquilizer Arrows to a bow-and-arrow in your inventory.

4.Throw bola on Tapejara. If you scare the Tapejara by accident, throw a bola upwards at its torso as it tries to flee. It will fall back to the ground and become submissive to the taming process.

5.Knock it out with the tranquilizer arrows using your bow, and then offer it any type of meat you have available. Tapejaras, like most other carnivores, prefer prime meat regardless of whether it came from a fish or regular animal.

6.Keep watch over the Tapejara while he/she is asleep, and defend it from predators if needed. Have other tamed creatures help with this if you are too weak to fend off the threat alone, or a tribemate if taming the Tapejara on a multiplayer server.

7.If torpor becomes too low, feed the Tapejara sedatives such as narcoberries or biotoxin to keep it asleep. Narcoberries may need to be force-fed.

2 Times I found tapejaras rare spawn in my area on the map I’m playing both times bola then crossbow tranqs but they died really quick from the shots

Use tranq darts not tranq arrows

Isolate it and eat a rare flower to aggrieved, then bola and tranq for an easy tame.
