You have to be really freaking fast and get em with a tranq arrow and sneakily cause they flee fast

My current base is on the craggs island region, I see one of these every few days, so if you’re looking for one you might want to check over there, I have a wonderful girl called sunny, she’s got the sharpest turns and is the fastest tame I own! At first I knocked her out with two tranquilizer darts, I fed her raw meat and biotoxin, but sadly, she got killed by a raptor, I got revenge on that raptor. I took her implant, went to the obelisk and revived her, now I have my gorgeous girl massacre raptors for revenge.

If flying Use a argy to scare on a mountain then fly a little away land put on gilly suit bola then knok out

Keep in mind that when they see you they will run away

Listen I was tracking this thing down for 20 min until I had a absolutely genius brain play kill the Tapejara and go to a obolesk and revive the creature then before it res have those Bolas swinging and throw it bam knock it out and tame

Build enclosed room with big enough door for it to fly in... fly around til you see you flying. Ideally around your base. Once your target is acquired, fly close and eat a rare flower. Kite it back to your enclosed cage. Once in, close the door. Wait for your rare flower effect to wear off. Bola it and tranq. Easy tame from the safe confines of your base

How to tame a Tapejara! (the island)

1. Find a Tapejara!

2. Stand at a safe distance and try and bola it.

3. Once it’s got a bola on (ur gunna need some skill) Knock it with tranq arrows.

4. When it’s knocked put some meat in (have narcotics at hand because idk what level your going for)

5. BOOM! Enjoy your Tapejara!

6. Bonus? You can get the Engram for the Tapejara saddle at level 55

The males rarely land, so you've got to use another flyer like a pteranadon to get close. I usually have a flyer trap set up, many examples on YouTube or whatevs. When you get close to them, eat a rare flower which will aggro them for like 12 seconds. Doing this you can pull them literally across the map as long as your tame can tank the hits. When you get it into the trap just hop off your dino, shut the gate, bola the tapejara, get your dino out. Shut the door again before the bola wears off and the rest is easy. Don't worry if it loses aggro, they run away but they'll usually stop just out of render distance. This can give you time to recover and go again.

One of the easiest ways is to

1. Spot one on the groud or follow one till it lands.

2. Get your bola ready by starting to swing it

3. Take aim at a good distance to not scare it

4. Throw the bola, if you miss you might have a second chance in between the time it get up to fly and the moment it takes flight

That's how i tamed mine

Bola is the best way, but you have to find one on the ground to be feasible. If it flees, give up, as it will never land for several hours. Very hard to find, but if you can bola it, not too hard to tame

This thing is easy to tame u don’t need a bola u just need a rifle with shocking tranq darts if ur high enough level but if not use a bola tranq it with a bow crossbow or a rifle with normal tranqs if ur low level and u can feed it meat

It is easy to bola him and feed him 10x soothing balm and transfer raw meat and its I got one gift i opened it and I see I got soothing balm then I see a tapejera then I bola him and tame and my level is only 25

For me, these things are pretty hard to tame. I CAN’T use bolas. My method is obelisk reviving. I KO them with tranq darts. Then I use kibble or meat.

Use rare flower to goad this scaredy cat to attack you

Put your flier on passive then land somewhere High of the ground then shoot with rifle and shock darts

Should drop with three shots

Easiest way to tame this?: Take a flyer that can equip weapons on it's back. Then just go up , they're prob the easiest thing to find bc they're just absolutely everywhere in the sky when you fly high enuff.

To tame this I would recommend a Dino that is good at knocking things out then pop a few rare flowers and use your knocking dino

1000% wear a guili suit when taming them cause you can’t even get close

Best strategy is to use a gillie suit sneak up to it then bola it the next best strategy is to follow it on a fast rider weaponry Dino many the baryonyx then bola it from there then shoot either tranq arrows or darts until knocked P.S. baryonyx’s are also imobilized by a bolo so easy knock out

They will run away very easily, either sneak up with gillie suit or KOBE a bola from far away, I caught mine around the red obelisk, seems like 2 spawn around that area usually

You can use rare flowers to lead them to where you want to tame them
