When you come up to a Tapejara be very slow and Quiet. When you close enough bola it quick before they fly away and they can fly pretty fast. After you can use a cross bow or a bow to knock it out. If it has low health I would not recommend to hit it in the head several times or it will die. Maybe one or two to the head but take like seven seconds before every shot. Usually depending on its level for example around level ten takes about 15-20 meat. Also bring at least 5 necrotics( depending one level) once again 1-10 level should take no more than around 8. Out some spikes around your Tapejara so no Dino’s kill it. The process it not that long once again depending on the level. Every lower level does not take as much. Then you have your very guild able Tapejara. They move left right forward and back and also can hand on to cliffs and trees. You can eat rare flowers to aggro it, while on your flyer, fly into a 3 or 4 dino gateway trap with pillars or doorways at the end making sure it has a roof, just keep eating flowers while you tranq it

Use rare flowers to agro them onto you and bola them while they try to attack you. Lure it away so that other animals don’t agro onto you.

You could use a Dino that can knock them out like an equus, scorpion, frog, and I think lightning wyvern.

I got lucky and ran up on one and he flew into a rock and got stuck so I shot about 3 tranquilizer darts at it and fed it raw meat.

These things are probrably my favorite island flyer probrably my favorite flyer from all the maps, they’re super useful they have decent worthy thier fast and can cling to walls, here’s how you take them

1, Clare the area these things die super easily and already are gonna be low health from the tranques

2. Use a rare flower in a safe area and bola the Dino (bring a few extra bolas things things are fast and hard to hit)

3) once you have a bola around it shoot it in the head with pretty much any tranq thier topped pretty low so it might no be that hard

4) try to give it prime meat once it’s knocked because normal takes a lot longer and there’s things aren’t easy to defend

And then you have your upgraded pt that’s super fun to use and is debatably one of the beast flyers

I just caught one of these today after an hour of searching on the island. The strategy I used primarily relied on using a high ler level argentavis and essentially chasing the Tapajera until it stamina rain out and was forced to land. Just food for thought!

This thing is easier to tame than people say it is. Eat a rare flower, and when it comes bola it and knock it out. Bring lots of meat as well as some prime meat just in case and protect it.

The tapejara is a brilliant tame. Tame one if you want a quezel

Your best bet is to find one while riding your bird, grapple on to it, and knock it out with tranqs or shocking tranqs. Works every time if you’re experienced enough.

Bola from a distance then tranq and feed it.

To easy tame a tapejara :

Persuite it and lead it to the volcano mountain.

Wait until it set on the ground.

Use bola on it .

Use toxic arrow to unconscious it.

Feed it and voila 🥰

Idk if this would work but to tame a tapejara you'll need full ghillesute, tranqdarts or tranqarrows, biotoxin or narcotic,bolas, if on console then rare flower, and allo kibble prime meat or normal meat.

Hope these steps help because I failed using these steps.

First: find tapejara.

Second: equipt full ghillesute.

Third: prone.

Fourth: bola tapejara or if on console then agro with rare flower then bola.

Fifth: knock out tapejara with tranqdarts or tranqarrows.

Sixth: feed prime meat or normal or allo kibble.

Seventh: feed narcotic or biotoxin regularly.

Eighth: enjoy your tapejara.

Tip: you can get tapejara saddle from completeing the prisute thin air.

Easiest way to tame this once you find one have rare flowers on you eat the rare flowers and bring it back to your base and bring it in a trap then boom knock it out

They spawn in the redwoods and near mountains and a r the green ob

To tame you must:

1. Find one

2. Bola it

3 Tranq it

4. Wait till tamed after feeding a lot

5. BOOM you have a really good flyer

Just run up from behind with something like a baryonyx or raptor, while winding up your bola, and while it’s doing the agro animation or you get really close throw the bola. It works really well.

Use a net with a harpoon launcher then tranq its head. Got over 10 of these in less than an hour in the 2021 summer bash event and only 3 days in so far.

Pretty easy to tame, I used a net and a crossbow with tranq arrows you could use a bola as it is much cheaper, make sure to not scare them as they fly away if you get too close and by too close I mean about a T-Rex length distance. Once knocked out feed em some narcotics gradually so he doesn’t wake and give home your preferred food, kibble, mutton, etc.

If you think u are fast enough: it also spawns in the pit at the green obelisk. If you shoot the first tranq arrow with a good crossbow (~180%) than it has to fly al the way up and gives you time to shoot another few arrows (maybe preload some other bow so you can immedately switch) I tamed a 128 and a 116 this way although it might take a while before you find a tapejara there.
