One thing is that it’s like the oviraptor. If it sees you it flys away. So you have to crouch or prone in order to get close enough. Then bula it and you have a tapajara

You don't need Ghillie suit, all you need is a Bola and good aim! I only used one bola to knock out this creature and shot it a few times with a crossbow, shoot 3-4 times in the head and if you have a spyglass use it to check its torpor.

Overall pretty easy tame! Too bad you don't get the saddle early, I tamed it at level 44, so it's kinda useless. Better at getting from point A to point B than ptera.

Okay I tried to tame about 10 of these with the sneaking up and bola method, honestly that wasn’t working. I got frustrated and the next one I found I just started spamming tranqs at its heads while it was walking and getting spooked, it flew for like 2 seconds and was ko’d, like what I was so happy, finally got one😭 pretty purple male named morado

If you want a fast and beautiful flyer this is one I’ve only seen about 5 of these things around and have mange to tame 2 tho one died. These animals are tricky but with they’re beautiful colors and a metallic looking shine as well as a beautiful assortment of sounds it makes. Tho using a bola is your best bet to catching it to tame. Make sure to have a lot of sleep stuff. These creatures have a sort of slow torpor and tame slow as well but it goes by fast

A very easy way to tame these wall-hugging, lizard-pidgeons is to put on a full set of heavy armor, get on a ptera, fly at it and eat a ton of RARE FLOWERS. Then fly him into your trap (so that none of you are violently annihilated by literally everything surrounding you), close the gate, shoot his face, and voila! You've got yourself a bord.

If u mess up and now it's in the air I got u.u should get a pteranadon with good stam so u can fly up to it then eat a rare flower so it chases u then u bring it to the ground and bola it while it's on u tame.plus u need a full gillie suit to get close to it or bola range.the level for the saddle is 55.u will need about 50 metal,300 hide,200fiber,40 wood.thats mostly all the materials.u can find them near south zone 2 at the swamp area.to tranq it out you will need a rifle and tranq darts.a crossbow and tranq arrows will also do good (slingshots and bows won't work I think). If ur tryin to tame one of these try lookin for them somewhere near the red wood-swamp border thts where they spawn... They're found almost everywhere around tht corner and try searching for them near the canopy, and another thing... If u suffer constant crashes and crash loops in the redwood biome then try to KO it asap then try to fly as high any can thtl unrender the rocks and other stuff then as soon any get the success notification get the hell outta there., recommended : high lvl Petra or argy

Seriously don't get distracted when taming. I was taming one and was bored so I decided to hassle a nearby diplodocus. My argentavis was trying to help but it killed the tapejara. Just focus on taming please unless you feel like crying.

The tapejara can spawn around green tower, the easiest way I have found to tame them is when you see them start spinning the bola and run as close as you can and throw it as they lift up their wings. It's an easy tame from there just build a spike wall to be safe because they have low health.

The best way for me to tame a Tapejara is to have lots of rare flowers, eat them, get on a flying dino (any) and get it in a taming pen, or if you don't have the resources to build one, have lots of bolas and keep throwing them at it, when the rare flower effect runs out, eat another one until it's knocked out, also, note that eating a rare flower will make the Tapejara agro on you, but not just you, also most wild life around you.

Easiest way to tame one is eat a rare flower near it and it will aggro to you. It doesn't do much damage so let it beat you while you bola. They have low health so use tranq darts to knock it out.

In ark mobile use darts to shoot them anywhere theres elevation like hills or mountains

If you are going to try tame one get a gille suit on sneak up behind it and bola it if you don’t have a longneck you can use whatever weapon you want and if you want a longer lasting bola use the chain one!

I feel so bad for y'all it was really easy to tame mine (it's a eerie tapejara) I always see tapejaras everywhere but yeah bola it and then knock it out I use Allo kibble

They are scared easily if they see you they’ll fly away. Hide behind a rock then bola the shoot in the body with a tranq arrow. Don’t leave it unprotected it will die to almost anything while it is knocked out.

Easy taming :) You eat some rare flower - tapejara attack You - bring tapejara a protected place - tapejara attack You but very low dmg - You drop a bola on tapejara - shoot the head maybe 7 tranq a lvl 150 - now just bring prime meat - Good luck bro ;)

How To tame A Tapejar

Step One: First sneak up to it with ghille and Bola it. If you don’t have ghille snipe it with bolas.

Step Two: Knock it out with darts or a good crossbow. They have very low health so pretty much anything else insta-kills them.

Step Three: Sutton the unconscious tapejar in spikes. I don’t care where you are, they have such low health a compy could probably kill them. (Don’t ask how I know this.)

Step Four: Go to the swamps and kill parcers, titanboas, and sarcos for prime. You could also go to the Arctic biome for mutton if your close to that.

Step five: Assuming your tapejar has been starved properly, then put the food in its inventory.

Step six: Saddle up your tapejar and enjoy! Keep in mind these are not generally battle creatures so don’t pick a fight with something that I can’t handle. I almost lost mine yesterday to a carno and baryonx after getting micro raptored of my mount.

Step Seven: Don’t bring your tapejar into the redwoods.

Get you a flying mount i'd say a agry is best considering it can take a ton of damage get you some rare flower build a trap with a roof fly near it eat the flower let in follow you into to trap you're welcome 😁
