Best way imo to knock one of these is to eat some rare flowers so he will attack you instead of running away, either lure him into a trap or just bola it then shoot around 5 arrows, bola again and repeat til knocked

To trap it grab it with a megalosaurus before it flies away

Easy Tapejara tame. Eat a rare flower x2 then have your owl next to you mount the owl freeze the tapejara bola it and whip out the tranqs then put WOODEN Spikes around it and go get mutton then come back to your tape and tame it. I highly recommend you get a tapejara the have excellent flight control and decent base weight.

These are really useful with The tek saddle and they are good against griffins Even without The tek saddle

If you want a Quetz game this thing you can get 3 seats sit the the second whistle to target quetz and make sure the whistle thing is always there on Mobile also cause you can switch seats you can still spend time flying around so once you knock out the quetz whistle passive enter front seat fly down and tame your new quetz!! >warning if your tapejara is to fast it will kill quetz< HOPE THIS HELPED YOU!! >sorry for caps..<

How to tame easily

1.Wear Ghillie armor (full set)

2.Craft a bola.

3.Drag Tranquilizer Arrows to a bow-and-arrow in your inventory.

4.Throw bola on Tapejara. If you scare the Tapejara by accident, throw a bola upwards at its torso as it tries to flee. It will fall back to the ground and become submissive to the taming process.

5.Knock it out with the tranquilizer arrows using your bow, and then offer it any type of meat you have available. Tapejaras, like most other carnivores, prefer prime meat regardless of whether it came from a fish or regular animal.

6.Keep watch over the Tapejara while he/she is asleep, and defend it from predators if needed. Have other tamed creatures help with this if you are too weak to fend off the threat alone, or a tribemate if taming the Tapejara on a multiplayer server.

7.If torpor becomes too low, feed the Tapejara sedatives such as narcoberries or biotoxin to keep it asleep. Narcoberries may need to be force-fed.

You basically have infinite stamina with these guys. When low on stamina, Hop into the passenger seat and let it regen. You almost never have to land

These guys are the closest to a pterodactyl in scorched earth so you can get wyvern eggs btw dont use moths to yet eggs there ti slow.

Well after *years of searching and watching one die when i knocked it out due to the vicious man eating comopys* finally got one back to base its a lvl 6 but does the job. What i used is a lvl 64 bear with 260 something speed and 800 stamina. Master longneck rifle and chased it,soothing balm is handy.

Glad this one didn't die had 2 Raptors get near low level less then 10 and a alpha raptor in the distance i would have died

2 Times I found tapejaras rare spawn in my area on the map I’m playing both times bola then crossbow tranqs but they died really quick from the shots

I tamed my today. I named it Yutu. It’s pretty much a made up name but I don’t care. I love Yutu so much! She can fly very fast and. I can stand on her too! She can land on the redwood tree. I also ran into a Pack of spinos. But Yutu lured them while I stabbed them to death with my acsendant sword. My Tapejara didn’t die and I was barely injured! Love you Yutu ☺️

Use tranq darts not tranq arrows

Isolate it and eat a rare flower to aggrieved, then bola and tranq for an easy tame.

My dudes, eat a rare flower near it, and she'll follow you to hell, and you can tame it wherever you want. Make a simple trap and aggro the tape inside.

Firw 1 dart, wait about 5 seconds, and keep doing that. Be happy with your new tape.

Crossbow with grappling hook from a distance in case you spook it that way you can reel yourself in close and bola it with your hotkeys for a quick take down. Just make sure to throw another bola after 1 or 2 shots to keep it down.

Use rare flowers, the scent will Agro the tape to you. Making for an easy bola!

Eat rare flowers so it will aggro on you instead of fleeing, otherwise it will fly VERY high and is impossible to tame without a flying mount. If you need rare flowers raid casteroide dams. Put all tames on passive since it might try to attack your other tames after eating a rare flower

Just use rare flowers to make a follow you into a trap then knock it out
