-Some guide for taming this cute pteranodon-

FINDING

Unlike their cousin Ptera, Tapejara spawn is very low. Do not expect to find one quickly. They share a similar spawn to Ptera but just way stranger. Also, Tapejaras like to risk their lives and go close to a raptor pack or a carno, which causes them to run away. Also keep in mind that they also look extremely similar to the ptera, just that they have that weird head and wings.

ENCOUNTER

Tapejaras are extremely frightened by anything that comes close. Mounts, aggresive wild dinos and players. They also escape at extremely high speed (2126) and usually causes the tapejara to not be seen ever again.

DANGERS

They do not pose any kind of danger, however, chasing them might result in getting you in trouble with a Rex, or even worse, an Allo pack.

PREPARING FOR TAMING

For very low levels, bola, and use anything. narc arrows, slingshot, anything work. Mid levels will require arrows and darts, and bola. For high levels, you will start to consider using a trap and darts, to not damage it that much and also preventing it to get killed. Tapejaras hate rare flowers, and if you eat one, they will chase you to death. Well, if they weren't relatively weak. Simply bola them and shoot them with any torpor-inducing weapon.

TAMING

Tapejaras will always run away unless wearing a Camo set ot using a rare flower, on both cases, bola them. Chain bola also works and for longer time but it will damage the tapejara. Shoot to the head! it has a 3× torpor multiplier at head. after asleep, they will eat any meat. Prime or Mutton are the best option. If you are rich and want a quick and effective tame, then use superior kibble or Allo kibble for Mobile/switch.

UTILITY

-UPGRADED PTERA

Worst aspect of a Ptera? Energy and weight. Best aspect of the Tapejara? Better Energy and weight. While the Tapejara energy isn't much better, it's much more usable and drains slower, and the weight is much more better. They also have very good agility, and can land on any wall and move to any direction like side to side!

-THE SADDLE

Tapejaras saddle allows 3 players. 2 passengers, and the pilot. Tapejaras are very valuable on pvp because of this, keep in mind to level up weight. They also have a tek saddle, which shoots plasma. Tapejara however, can carry another player on it's feet, allowing 4 players per tapejara.Be careful tho, his weight is not for 4 players. It's very fun to raid someone with a 4 player-tapejara.

-BEST WAY TO TAME A QUETZAL, AND PROBABLY THE EASIEST (Quetzal taming sucks)

Quetzal is a need to tame. Not only they are extremely hard to find, but they will never land unless a chain bola brings them down. Tapejara's passengers capacity allows a tribe to easily tame a quetzal. Pilot drives, while the passengers shoot the quetzal. This is a more ortodox method than the Argentavis carrying a Pulmo, and also takes much less time. Keep in mind to have 900+ energy when taming a quetzal!

Good luck at taming your tapejara! It's worth it!
