Tapejara imperator holds a dear place in the hearts of many survivors here on the island and for good reason. However, natural instincts make it best viewed from afar when wild.

This isn’t because Tapejara imperator poses any threat to survivors when wild, but is extremely shy and distrustful towards them when wild while appearing oblivious to most animals until the moment of attack. It makes a different call and flinches far faster than it’s somewhat more-common Pteranodon ancestors when spooked. I can’t tell what Tapejara imperator‘s phobia of humans is a result of. However, Tapejara imperator is wise enough to know that the sky is always the safest place to be.

Domesticated

Taming Tapejara imperator often times is always a trust-building excercise, as if you treat it with care, it should come to love you once it wakes up. Many value it’s versatility to love it back in return. It does have decent self-defense skills, but rarely uses them in the wild.

I see all of the tips go to other seat for stam but how I play pc there is no way for me yet I think how about on consle

On Crystal isles they can bug into the rocks so you can easlily tranq them.

Very good creature on mobile when at good stage in game when breed for ho can get to 20k hp on easy servers very fast and good soap bird

Rare flowers! If it starts to flee, eat a rare flowers and it will start attacking you. Just bola/tranq it while it's attacking. Make sure be careful of other Dino's in the area!

When you are low lvl, maybe try standing behind it and stand back, then release a tranq arrow or dart. It should knock out fast. I have tamed two myself. My dad tried to tame one the other day..he failed so bad..XD And it was a lvl 135

If you have a quetz use it to knock one out the tapajeras are so annoying to find so get a quetz and a platform saddle then whenever you get close go up above the tapajera then shoot it with your desired tranqs they are so fast so it’s a little hard to catch them and they never land but a great tame nonetheless three seater fast can fly backwards and in all directions not very good for stamina and weight when tamed so put stats into those two. Do weight first then stamina.

Dont tame it far of the base cause i always forgot atleast one thing to tame it sooooooooooo try to lure it to your base

Here's a way to tame this thing at least how I tamed one (MATERIALS) 1 Rex a couple of tranq darts and taming food first you need to find one tapejaras are mostly found in dangerous areas but 100% guaranteed found in the back part of south zone 1 next you will need A VERY DELIBERATE ACCURATE SHOT STRAIGHT TO THE HEAD in this part you will have to be very sneaky next defend it request a tame first something good at collecting berries for narcs then an equss they're Chemical saddle can make narcotics lastly the Rex you had earlier it can collect raw meat extremely well tons of raw meat means lots of spoiled meat for the narcs and that's how you tame a tapejara or at least how I did it

If you want rex bring you best most trustable friend and give them a gun with tranq darts have them on the tail of the tapejara and hover over a rex and make your friend shoot the rex and kill something for prime meat and tame the rex.

Guys when you're tapejara are ALMOST EXHAUSTED while flying try to change your SEAT to the FRONT to maintain how high you are. And it will Regen it's energy without going down to rest.

Of course try it first.Just not far to the ground just to be sure

I just found one and knocked it out, I’m not that good but the Color’s are sick! It’s Black, Gold and dark green

Alright, just tamed one and it ligit died to a Rex…

Tamed another 2, wasted about 3 days of real time tameing & searching for them, and one died to a raptor but luckily the other one killed it🤗 .

It was on 50 health out of 1561 and the raptor was a 120…

Soooooo happy but I’m sure it will die in a day or two.

You all say it is so hard to get one but I found a lvl 1 near spawn on like day 40 and it took like one tranq to the face and like twenty meat.

This is my FAVORITE flying Dino, it has the best mobility, it’s quite fast, it can gain stamina without need to land into dangerous places (it can rest in trees or in a cliff), and it has 3 places to mount! (One rider and 2 passengers), I LOVE these dudes

WHEN YOU TAME THIS COOL DINO HAVE YOU SADDLE READY SO YOU CAN ZOOOOOOOOOM OUT OF WHERE EVER YOU TAMED OR RAPTORS AN OR COMPYS WILL KILL YOUR TAME!!!!!!

If u mess up and now it's in the air I got u.u should get a pteranadon with good stam so u can fly up to it then eat a rare flower so it chases u then u bring it to the ground and bola it while it's on u tame.plus u need a full gillie suit to get close to it or bola range.the level for the saddle is 55.u will need about 50 metal,300 hide,200fiber,40 wood.thats mostly all the materials.u can find them near south zone 2 at the swamp area.to tranq it out you will need a rifle and tranq darts.a crossbow and tranq arrows will also do good (slingshots and bows won't work I think). Seriously don't get distracted when taming. I was taming one and was bored so I decided to hassle a nearby diplodocus. My argentavis was trying to help but it killed the tapejara. Just focus on taming please unless you feel like crying.
