Easy to tame need some narc arrows and mejo berries also feed narc berries and leave it for a while somewhere safe to tame after a while of starving u can feed it up to tame fast

A 120 lvl stego or higher u should reconsider too not bring a Dino stegos are slow but powerful. If you brought your Dino it would have a good chance of dying depending on what it is people that want to tame stegos are probably lvl 45. You should trap the stego in a little one by one and then knock it out. I would highly recommend using tranc darts. It would be very easy if you used this strategy I tamed a lvl 217 stego wth the strategy it had a high taming rate so it went up 50 levels witch is amazing. You should tame it with kibble or veggies. Berries do work but that takes about two hours so my recommendation is most likely is kibble it’s favorite kibble will tame a 120 in about 30m-1hour. And will turn out about at level 172

These are pretty easy to tame, although they take enough time to be able to run a marathon if you don’t use kibble. For knocking it out just stand far away and use a slingshot or tranq darts/arrows and go for the head.

The wiki says taming a lv 120 on mejos, for example, will take over five hours. DD says two hours. Who is right?

It's very tanky and easy to tame, a must tame in the begging or even late game as it provide a super easy way to collect a lot of berries wood thatch you name it while also being a tank and you can also equip crossbow or other weapons to tame / fight other creatures.

It can even stunlock people/dinos and deal big damage percentage health over time. Also it can massively slow them down.

Taming a stego with slingshot has way too high of a chance of just killing the beast rather than knocking it out. Much better to grind the tranq arrows and materials for a simple trap.

Guys this is how to tame: go on a rock higher so it won’t attack then shoot tranq arrows with crossbow then feed berrys

Tip how to tame a stego get a bow or crossbow better to use the one with more damage but so good early game I got so mush done with my stego called spark

NOOBS BEWARE, don't wack them without a decent amount of trancs because they are tanks, but that means they are good tames.

I was in a swamp looking to tame a raptor put then i saw a stego and i wanted it so i got on top of a rock and shot sling shot at the last shot I THOT I was gonna die cuz when it was unconscious it had 4 health left but now i have a stego

If you are looking to tame one of these I recommend finding one on a beach and shooting it with either a slingshot or tranq arrows because these guys won't catch you up. Kibble is faster than berries but I used berries and I got one pretty easy even though it takes ages. Use quite a lot of narcotics, and be prepared for ANYTHING. Once you have yourself one of these, you pretty much have your own berry collector.

Near the river on south zones 1/2 there are some. Don't take the eggs or you will have a bad day!

The chart is right, I just killed a level 108 with a slingshot.

Used a Stego for cactus sap and would get 600-800 per swing in some areas on Scorched Earth.

Just keep your distance and shoot tranqs at it (it climb up a rock that It cannot climb), when it’s knocked out, feed it the kibble or whatever you use to tame it, enjoy your stego! :]
