its true, i just shot it in the head with a tranq arrow, turn around and ran, shot it again, and so on. It did hit me once, and did a bit of damage and knocking me forward. but it was an overall easy tame and its worth it. They’re early/mid game decent tanks.

Just use a few narc arrows le cheese him by standing on top of a rock he can't reach you on and slingshot away till he's unconscious then feed him

Just put it in a place where it can't move then slingshot em out

This big boi is OP. Their also easy to tame., just use a slingshot. Their not that fast u just have to keep moving(just make sure u have enough stam) AND BOOM U HAVE NEEDLE BOI.👍

I suggest not trying to tame it on herbivore island cause when it runs away it goes into the water and drowns when I gets knocked

Boost free first knock it and dont feed it watch its food status and if it's 3000 let it decrease to 1000 and feed it some berries and it will tame very fast

The stegosaurus are needed a lot of patience to tame. Try netting them and then knock them out.

Make sure that you make a 2x2 and put stone doorframes on it and make stairs so it can get in then just shoot it with tranq arrows or darts and if you want more safety build wooden spikes around it

I was still a primitive caveman when I thought I might as well tame a strong Dino that is easy to tame. This guy requires 7 tranq arrows from a bow and a lot of berries easy to get from a parasaur and now I have a really strong Dino

If you have a stego already, a good strategy would be to ride your previously tamed stego with heavy plate equipped. You hit the stego with heavy plate to start, slowing it while aggroing so it stays in range, then switch to hardened plate (the slowing debuff should give you plenty of time to do so) then, equip a crossbow with tranq arrows (personal preference, but ultimately it’s up to you) the aggro on the stego will keep it close enough to be able to steadily headshot the stego, while you being in your stego will prevent it from retaliating and lowering its health. You will probably have to periodically hit the stego with heavy plate equipped to keep the slowing debuff active, but other than that you should be fine

Sup easy to tame. If you wanna make a trap, it’s in trike section. It works for this guy too! You need bout 100 rocks and megoberries. Get pteranodon leaf it into trap, then start shooting with slingshot. !remember! Bring macro berries, narcotics, or bia toxin. It will take a while to tame, but are good mounts. (This mobile btw)

Find one of them in the open, away from raptors and other predators, also, make sure you have a lot of berries or Rockarrots. Put wood walls around it when it’s knocked out so you block out small predators that attack you or the Stego. It might take a bit but you can still tame it.

If you have a fast creature shot it with tranq aroows till it gets close then hop on your take and run like crazy, then repeat. Mejoberries and 30 narco berries tamed me up a level 24 with tame boost to 35 on mobile at level 13 with my tranadon I couldn't lose. :)

Okay so use 13 tranq arrows and lure 2 to your base or house. if you have other Dino’s there put them on passive and tear one wall down. The steg can’t fit through but you can. Lastly just fill them with arrows.

For Players Who Just started out , You can just craft a Slingshot And knock down Maybe a Level 1-22 with about 150 rocks , You can just runaway from them since they’re so slow, and when they start panicking, Just club them With a bat

The easiest way to knock it out it to grab it with a karkinos and stand near a titanoboa. Remember to kill the titanoboa or it will eat the Stego but be careful not to kill the stego. You can use the same titanoboa over and over again by holding it with a karkinos when not using it and/or keeping it in a pen.

If u have a female and Male keep breeding them don't claim the baby kill it when matures and u will have valuable resources after u harvest it.
