Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a stegosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a stegosaurus.
Stegos have the new tlc which means in the wild they will have about a 50% damage resistance which will make it harder to knock out. With the info on knocking it out (how much it takes) multiply it by 2 to make it accurate to how much you need to knock it out! Hope this helped!
So just find low level it took me like five tranq arrows and crossbow to K.O. then hundred rockaroot and a little bio toxin and now I have a stego! Plz up people must see
Easy to tame grab your tranqs shoot itβs head stay weβre the mouth is so it doesnβt attack you sadly it only has one attack on mobile and 2.0
told my friend not to mess with it because we were early game but four deaths later we had a tamed one
They are mildly slow, but you might want to get on a rock and shoot it with tranq arrows, takes 2-5 arrows and make sure you have bio toxin on you. Takes a while for them to tame, the best thing to beat that time is to get a sleeping bag ( Not a simple bed!) And sleep in it. When you wake up shove a hundred bio toxins down it's throat, wait that three more minutes, and you got a stego.
I know this might sound fake but I tamed one when I was level 18 I used a sling shot I was so close to dying
At times 5 taming speed it only took me 5 potatoes to tame a stego. Up. so more people will see this
If you dont tame it with kibble you can catch up on some netflix shows of yours :).
Iβd use tranq arrows to knock out I used the purple berries and it took a while but itβs worth it and it gives a lot of xp
If you have a stego already, a good strategy would be to ride your previously tamed stego with heavy plate equipped. You hit the stego with heavy plate to start, slowing it while aggroing so it stays in range, then switch to hardened plate (the slowing debuff should give you plenty of time to do so) then, equip a crossbow with tranq arrows (personal preference, but ultimately itβs up to you) the aggro on the stego will keep it close enough to be able to steadily headshot the stego, while you being in your stego will prevent it from retaliating and lowering its health. You will probably have to periodically hit the stego with heavy plate equipped to keep the slowing debuff active, but other than that you should be fine
For primitive players fresh wheat is better and faster than kibble. About 10 min 99.9% tame.
They're good for raiding. Tame a bunch, level their health and use them to drain turrets.
1. They have lots of health
2. They have damage reduction, so they'll take less damage from the turrets.
Low level ones can get about 5000 thousand health and higher levels can end up with around 20000 health.
Other than that high level ones can do decent damage and they have a knock back effect with their tail.
Their saddle is cheap to make.
A lot of people say they're not any good, but I think they are underrated. Yes the tame process is long, that's probably the only con.
Stand on a tall rock and tranq it or make a dino pen if it's easier.

Find one of them in the open, away from raptors and other predators, also, make sure you have a lot of berries or Rockarrots. Put wood walls around it when itβs knocked out so you block out small predators that attack you or the Stego. It might take a bit but you can still tame it.
Bring more narcotics. Chart is wrong. Had to use 30 narcotics on a lvl 50 stego.
If you use crops use carrot. Started taming 2x lvl 10. 1st i used longgrass then the 2nd i used carrot. The longgrass was 15% and carrot was 35% even when started after. Hope this helps
When you have a fast mount, like raptor, it's extremly easy to knock them out. Just get your bow or crossbow and play cat and mouse.
Just keep shooting even after you've been knocked across map just keep shooting
Lvl up their weight there very slow
It gathers Berry's but more importantly there eggs are used for Argy kibble.
It did happen with a low level stego and a low level pachy but i knocked it out in one pachy ram. It was a very easy tame that way.
