Taming a spino might seem hard at lvl 29, but it ain’t. Get 20-40 tranq arrows, a bow that doesn’t deal too much damage, and a butt load of fish meat. Shoot the spino at a long range, then when it closes in shoot it more, that will minimize how much damage you take. Once you have it down, keep a very close watch on it cuz spinos are very fast at losing torpor, use bio toxin as a narcotic, it won’t do damage and its effective.

This method had me tame 3 spinos in a day at lvl 29-31

If you are trying to escape a Spino, run away from the water, the Spino will get slower and slower and eventually turn around. I hope this helps, good luck!

These guys are arguably the kings of mid game progression tames because they are an all around pick with it being a t rex a baryonix and a monster of its own, they are way easier to find as well, with them spawning in most mid sized rivers and small lakes. Hope this was helpfull.

The Supreme Spinosaurus

IN ORDER TO TAME A SPINOSAURUS:-

DIFFICULTY:- 7/10 [INTERMEDIATE]

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:-

1. A Crossbow and some tranq arrows or A Long Neck Rifle and tranquilizer darts.

2. Argentavis Kibble (Old ARK Mobile only) or Exceptional Kibble or Raw fish meat or Raw prime fish meat.

3. 15-20 fence foundations and stone walls of atleast 3-4 times higher and finally the ramps (Only if you wanna tame and trap).

TAMING:-

METHOD NO. 1: [WITH A QUICK MOUNT]

If you have a quick mount (such as Gallimimus Kaprosuchus Raptor etc), you could just put points in the movement speed and outrun the Spinosaurus andknock it out that way.

DIFFICULTY FOR METHOD 1:-

8/10 [ARDUOUS] CAUSE YOU'LL HAVE TO RUN AROUND WHEN THE TORPOR WILL INCREASE OF IT.

METHOD NO. 2:

If you have a tanky mount (such as Brontosaurus, Paraceratherium etc), it will ressist/take the damage while you're knocking it out.

DIFFICULTY FOR METHOD 2:-

6/10 [MODERATE] CAUSE IF THE SPINOSAURUS WILL RUN AWAY, YOUR TANKY MOUNT WILL BE SLOWER THAN THE SPINOSAURUS

METHOD NO. 3:

Build 10-12 stone pillars high because it will not be able reach out to you and you can knock out (don't build less than 10 pillars).

DIFFICULTY FOR METHOD 3:-

6/10 [INTERMEDIATE] CAUSE THE SPINOSAURUS WILL RUN AND ALSO YOU'LL HAVE TO RUN BEHIND IT.

METHOD NO. 4:

Build 15-20 fence foundations and stone walls of atleast 3-4 times higher and finally the ramps and knock it out.

DIFFICULTY FOR METHOD 4:-

1/10 [EFFORTLESS] CAUSE IT'LL GET TRAPPED AND CANNOT GET OUT OF IT.

FACTS:-

1. It has a Hydration Buff that allows it to increase its damage and resistance when in water.

2. It's a great mount for land as well as water because of its movement speed.

3. However, it does have a oxygen stat unlike other semi- aquatic creatures (such as Baryonyx, Sarcosuchus, Kaprosuchus etc).

4. In old ARK Mobile, it's eggs can be used to make Spinosaurus Kibble, which can be used to tame the Megalodon.

To knock out ma boe if it is at least 25 level you can traq it easily with a crossbow. Please up this!

I was crossing a river at level 5, hoping the evil fish wouldn't try to eat me, when I look to my right and see this huge spino not too far away from me. I start running (the water was very shallow) towards the shore, when I see a huge group of dilos and a raptor. I decide going to the reb obelisk wasn't worth it, so I turn around and I see another raptor on the shore I was coming from. On my left was just deeper water with the evil fish who's name I cant remember. Suddenly the spino got bored of killing fish and thought a human would taste much better. You can guess what happened next.

Spino taming is easy that you dont need any trap for it just lure him/her in a large wall not an wall a land with a large area or rock which she/he cant reach you and tranq it(you can use tranq, toxicant, and trangquillizer it would actually dumb to use slignshot to knock it out)if its running is just kind of the hard part cuz they are fast which is using it will just avoid tranq dart so just use an tranq arrows if you are lucky enough that the spino gets stuck in a big mountain just use tranq darts and knocking it out and taming it is very very easy just go to an swamp kill some paracer i recomemded to kill 2-3 paracers since paracers dops 7-13 prime meats and make sure you have an 10x soothing balm then here you go you now have an spino😊 hope thi helps to the one who is struggling to tame a spino thank you so much for reading this far:)

With a higher damage output and more stamina than a rex, the spino is an excellent alternative. The turning radius and hit box of spino makes it easier to hit targets as well, much easier than a rex. Not to forget the spino also shines in water, moving faster than it does on land and consuming no stamina while swimming, it makes for great escape route.

Overall the only negative thing I can say about it is that it's speed on land is slightly slower than a rex. If youre keeping it inland, consider putting a few points in speed.

I love these guys! I have two at my base (a male and female) and can’t wait to breed them once I unlock ac engram ( I know I’m a noob). I tamed them on mobile using the soothing balm free gift, which is kind of cheating I guess. They still give me so much peace of mind knowing that whenever I run into some tickle chicken or something, I can just call in my big guns, Spadoodle and Spinerete.

They should make it where, when it rains, the spino should get a buff

but when its dry or oddly hot, should get a slight debuff

Easy to knock out as it cant destroy stone just make a raft with sone base on it and shoot it with tranq arrows from inside the base

Taming one solo.

I had a level 15 hanging too close to my base for comfort. I have never tamed one before so I am happy with this.

I made 10 stone pillars and had ladders up to the top and I used tranq darts with a longneck rifle. It took 23 darts to knock out. If you use arrows I advise making 50 for a level 15 or lower. Be aware that it’s torpidity runs out very quickly. I had 100 narcotics with me and loads more at base if needed but 100 was plenty for this level. I am still learning about kibble and things so I fed it raw fish meat which did take a lot longer.

Faster than a Rex, semi-aquatic, and they still do decent damage along with having the hydration buff. Great PvE travel mount (I've only ever played singleplayer). Basic square stone gateway trap, you might wanna bring 100-200 tranq arrows to be safe. Recommend to try at least once.
