To kill, or drive away, prepare 100+ ammunition of any kind, depending on the lvl and quality of your weapons. Ranged weapons are best, and these guys run away when on low health or high torpor. To drive out, just lower its health to around 10% or less of their health, this’ll be hard depending on the level of the spino.

For new people struggling, these guys are close to impossible to kill while touching water, never fight them in water, but they do get distracted by fish really easily, if one is too close to your preferred area and your not ready to fight it, drop all your valuables at your hut, have a sleeping bag or preferably a bed in your hut, grab a bow and a few arrows and hit them from far away till they follow you to a different section of river or beach, they might get distracted before they get to you, and if you have a mount you can usually outrun them, they won't get away from water, so if you peg one in the direction away from your area and run up hill once they get close they'll forget you and relocate to the nearest fish. They actually aren't too tough on dry land if you have enough dinos to get them stuck so they can't run back to water, I've taken them out with 5-6 dilos and a few Teranodons. On dry land.

Build a large trap with the large Dino door near a tall cliff. Make one mad. Jump on a flyer and fly into the trap. Close door behind him. Land on the cliff. You have caught your Dino. Now you just tranq it and tame it as usually. He/she can’t run away.

I found level 19 and shot it with seven tranq arrows I tamed it with fish prime meat, fish and prime fish

First of all: Get your strongest unit and head to a Spino. Second of all: When you see your creature getting more bloody than the Spino, Distract the Spino, Go to your base & get your army prepared, once the Spino comes whistle at the Spino & fight, helping your units is a great solution if you start losing whistle all your guys and run away with the guys. Find a powerful unit your 100% confident you can take down, feed it while it’s unconscious, head back to the Spino then send your overpowered army to it use all your strength to rather tame it or kill it.

It says for mobile it takes 4 argy kibble for mobile yet it only went up by like 2.5% taming after eating one argy kibble completely false smh messed up my taming effectiveness drastically as well

My stupid dinos keep mistaking this guy as an enemy when trapped

So I went hunting for raptors then I found a few otters, so I went and killed a few fish to kill it. When I tried to tame the otter, out of no where a spinosaurus came out the ran right past me and killed a Alpha Triceratops in like five plows and I ran as far as my little legs could do. DO NOT KILL FISH NEAR THE BEACH!!!!

They should be more common in the Lost Island DLC

Pro tip: Tame one that is a high level that way your creature will gain more health every time you level it up (when you upgrade health)

Tbh the aberrant spino is op fir ne at a weak lvl it was the most powerful weapon for the green zone

A good tip to tame a Spino is by making 10 stone pillars and 10 wooden ladders, climbing up the pillars, shoot the Spino with a tranq dart or arrow, wait for the Spino to come to the pillar and keep on shooting it. I recommend not to use less than 10, I used 7 and I got yeeted of the pillars and just died. Hope this helped

Spinos have a glitch where they basically poop two times when they have to poop. Yes, go figure.....

If you have a flying mount, you dont even need to make a trap to tame a Spino, just make use of the terrain around you, dont shoot him from a rock too far from him, it will lose the interest in you, try to find a spot to stay kinda close to him, but where he cant reach you... To lure him, let him hit you once and then try to keep a close distance to him so it doesnt lose the interest and keeps following you, but notice Spinos are really fast. If the Spino starts running away from you after you shoot some tranqs on him, thats how you know its starting to go down, so ride your flying mount, chase the Spino and shoot him with the tranqs, but be careful that If you take too long to shoot him again, he loses torpor really fast and may turn against you again! 😉

I talk by experience, I've tamed a Spino and other strong dinos like a Rex just by using the terrain around.

If more people can see this advice, it's way more exciting taming dinos this way than making traps, but thats risky! 😂😁

Most people's tips are useless, here is a big tip: when taking these guys just get on a cliff even if it's far second tip: spino sucks underwater, it is too slow, get a sarco or megalodon they turn much faster... my spino died to a manta because it couldn't turn

Spino is really dangerous but it is my favorite dino, really strong, the first time I found one it was in "The Island" on the beach where I started, supposed to be a safe place... The Spino just decided to start killing every living thing he saw, it even killed 3 Megalodons at the same time after a massive killing spree on the beach, that thing is crazy!

Now imagine me at really low level trying to kill/tame a Spino mudering everything it saw 😂
