Yeah, if it’s low level, don’t use pillars. I tried to knock one out using a 5-wall high tower, and the Spino still got to hit me on the tower, YEETED me almost inside a mountain, and did 7x the damage. Just use a mount with good health, like a Carbonemys or a Dire Bear

these aren’t bad if you’re prepared; I killed one at lv 10 with only a bow and arrows and a cliff. Great for hide and meat harvesting

If spinos are still a fish eating pain in the butt, you’d better keep a safe distance and take a bunch of screenshots, so next time you run into one, keep away from it

If you see one, and your a low level, just run. Don’t shoot it, just turn, and run. If your level 50+ then I say go for it. DO NOT ATTACK UNTIL YOU REACH LEVEL 50 OR HIRER! IT WILL SLAUGHTER YOU.

Spinosaurus are excellent fishermen. They are like and all Terran vehicle. They can cover alot of open ground and a good bit of water. Not recommended for deep ocean exploits as jelly fish wil sting and stun them , they'll drown in the time it takes to wake up. They're good at clearing a path for a base and can carry alot like a T-Rex. Good at harvesting prime regular and fish meat and trophies for the obelisk.

Better mount than the Rex since the TLC came put.

The spinosaurus has been confirmed to get a tlc update in phase 2 making it like the iguanodon with a claw attack and doing more damage but in bipedal stance it is slower but in quadruped stance it moves faster.and when u go into the water with with it it gets a buff.

I tamed my first spino in the redwoods and I built a trap with a LARGE BEAR TRAP and I kept having to feed it narcoberrys raw prime meat probably is better than normal raw meat. So keep a pronto trike or ankle with you to collect narcoberrys.

Best way I’ve found to tame them when your a low level is to stand on a ridge and shoot down at it and when it flees make sure you can corner it

Ok so what ur gonna need is 1. 200 Tranqs

2. 4 stone gates 3. And a pt I recommended you're lvl 40 so you atleast have a pteranodon

And two giant bear traps you can only make one but I make two for sure

Next make the gates in like a square oh only use 3 gates next you put the bear traps you lead it in its stuck so use the last gate for the way he/she got in

So she can't escape also there might be a baryonyx yeah so barys can be bola'd so no prob Now start tranqing the spino boom he's knocked out

Then I recommend biotoxin instead of narcotics get prime FISH meat while you're getting The biotoxin

And he/she's yours but when I said atleast lvl 40 you cry cuz you can't make saddle

HOW TO TAME WITHOUT TRAPS

Material: Biotoxins (or narcotics), Tranqs, Prime fish meat, Rifle / Crossbow

1) Find the spinosaurus you want

2) Get it to an area with LOTS of wildlife. They are pretty tarded and get distracted easily. NOTE: they are VERY fast, so be quick

3) Harass it with tranqs (at least 20-30) until it’s out.

4) Shove prime fish meat down it’s throat and keep it down with narcs or biotoxins ( reccommend biotoxins )

5) Defend the spino. If on mobile, use soothing balm.

6) Profit

I tamed one of these in easy mode as soon as I got tranq arrows /lvl 21/ they are terrifingly fast like most starter tames can't outrun it.

Be sure to get a baryonyx or a fast creature in and out of water, because the first time I took on a spino with my archentivis, it catches up with me faster than I expected, and the result was bloody. I used a baryonyx next and they are AMAZING for knocking Dino’s out. You can use things while riding them, and it has saved my life so many times.

Sad but true:a alpha dino doesnt despawn,but a regular dino does

To trap use bear traps and 8 of the mini stone dino gates to trap one then hit it in the face bring lots of narcotics and for a 150 bring with a primitive weapon bring like 115 arrows and/or 75 darts

I kill it using this stuff:

1.Longneck rifle(and scope if u have)

2.My flying dino(any but fast)

3.Search perfect spot to sniper it

Then,you shot it while he can't attack or reach you but watch out it run if he hp low.

Give him lot fish, and this spino can fight any creature for you, spino eat fish for fast generating health
