A very good trapping and taming bird,if you get your tame in to a trap you can freeze it and have a few seconds to get out and close the door.aswell as if your tame is about to die you can heal it,EVEN IF ITS STILL WILD!!!!!

When raising have plenty of raw meat as it eats one meat every 6-7 seconds! 5 hour baby stage. It's Worth taming or raising!

I don‘t know if i just keep having bad luck with knocking out these guys. I tried twice and both times the unconscious owls glitched below the map, and I couldn’t access their inventory. So, my advice is to net & knock them out on even ground and not on the side of a hill…

Don't know if anyone has said. But in maps that have these and the net projectiles in use the and then argue trap over them while they are down and just shot from then on.

A decent amount of these guys actually spawn at 20 lat. 58 long. on Fjordur, I was just exploring and I found a ton of them. I thought they were argys at first because it’s kinda a strange area. Anyway, good luck taming!

Here’s a good trap look up Kaizer from Crete snow owl trap it’s super cheap and easy it took my 5 minutes to get the resources and build it

Trust me I tamed two that way

Don’t use tames they may die also don’t super punch

Suggest you just make a birdcage trap and bring 30-50 tranq arrows.

You can lure the snow owl with a tanky argent (2000-4000 health will do the trick) and proceed pelting it with tranq arrows once you got it in. Just be quick!

You usually won't have to bring loads of narcotics as they tame up quickly! Just keep a eye on torpor.

How to kill these annoying things:

1. Net it(net gun), bolas wont work

2. Finish it off how you like :)

One of the easiest tames I've done, just tamed one 5 miniutes ago on lost island by shooting it with a crossbow and running in circles with it. I found it at a mountain near the snow area on its own and used a maewing to fly over. They seem harder to tame than they actually are, 100% worth it. - ItsScorch

When taming on gen 2 knock them out first then get meet from the sheep 🐑 so they starve then give to them and it will tame in less than a minute

Juste do an Argentavis Trap, kill everything near your target and the Trap, poke the Owl and run into the trap, easy 140 and 150 taming (raw prime food is good)

R Snow Owls on Gensis 2 vary slightly when it comes to knocking them out.

Snow owls drop from sky when you knock them and blend in so well please track them so u do not lose them

If it's aggroed on your mount and won't aggro you so you can kite it into a trap, just eat a rare flower.

Must have flying mount on extinction. Found in snow biome build a 2x2 4 high stone structure. With dino door one side and normal doorway opposite. Kite it in and close dino door. Stops it circling and fleeing. Head clips through wall so can stand outside and shoot it down then tame in peace.

When taming make sure you knock it out away from any Ice Dragon thing(Magamar)

All I did to tame an R-Snow Owl is I went up to it and shot a net to hold it. Then I used a tranq dart to knock it out. Fed it raw meat and 5 minutes later....got one.

I was building a trap for a snow owl and the owl i was trying to trap just flew into the trap while chasing a moose! So i finished the trap and tranq’d it easiest snow owl tame ever lol
