WARNING: When raising one of these prior to hatching be sure to have at least 3 fridges full of meat because these babies are absolutely savage and eat around three to five meat at a time! Help spread the word!
These mf babies eat like gigss! Had 4 full feeding troughs for two juveniles, wasn't even gone for more than a 3-4 hours and the feeding troughs were empty and the owls were dead. There were no other meat eating tames near the troughs JUST THE OWLS. VOTE UP
So make sure you have it trapped before you try to tame it because it will take off and fly rampant across the whole map and lead you on a wild goose chase, this happens when it is close to being knocked out. This happened to me twice, once it lead me to a giga then flew into its mouth then the second time across the map for 30 mins. Also make sure you use tranq darts because arrows will kill them.
While trying to knock it out, make sure it isn’t too damaged as it doesn’t have too much health, trying to tame it with a crossbow could kill it. If you have a snow owl it makes it easier to tame as it can be healed by the owl (of course to tame it easier you need the creature)
Make sure to either trap an owl or tranq it in an open field because these things, if you can even catch it when it's torpor is high, will almost all of the time fly to the river in the snow dome and get stuck in one of the cliffs on the rivers sides. Every single one I've tried to tame has drowned.
Hey guess just saw the spawn code for the superior kibble so I thought I’d share with u guys to experiment with it states - (3 Fiber, 10 Mejo’s, 1 Rare Mushroom, 1 Cooked Prime Jerk, 1 Large Egg, and finally 10 Red Sap) idk what that egg is but I wish you all luck hope this helps!
A very good trapping and taming bird,if you get your tame in to a trap you can freeze it and have a few seconds to get out and close the door.aswell as if your tame is about to die you can heal it,EVEN IF ITS STILL WILD!!!!!
