Really great moant for ferrox taming, magma egg gathering and mutagel collecting. When things agro just go invisible.

They are very good for taming cuz of their invisibility you can cloak and use weapons such as harpoon and tranqs while being cloaked

The females can make all the animals in a short range invisible so could you bring one into a boss fight make your army invisible then the bosses will not Agro and will not attack until you are ready

Hit the button facing the sky if this is the most versatile creature.

I’d like to see them in ARK 2 because they are very strong and agile

If you jump high enough and pull your camera back the shadowmane will do a cool flip in the air!

Fantastic mobile dinos. You can sneak up on creatures, leap great distances, and if you melee enough creatures until your bar goes purple, you can do a powerful melee that can one shot many dinos.

On top of that, it is a phenomenal swimmer, being able to take out megladons and many big water dinos with near ease.

Be careful as you can get knocked off it.

Way 2 op but crazy annoying to tame

The big reefs that kind of look like mushrooms in the ocean are fungle wood

Not sure if it was just me but these things don't seem to like to attack under water. Tested on gen 1. Would attack through moeder fight (very easy btw) but other missions and creatures after a while they would just seem passive even when set to aggressive. Seems like I haven't seen many posts about this though

I found out they can cloak in water

it can swim in the space biome

There’s still an oxygen stat and can be checked using a cryopod to see how many wasted points went into oxygen. Need to update calc to allow this please.

Shadow Manes are really good for stealing wyvren eggs. I tried this and the shadow mane can stay cloaked while you are not mounted on it. So once you pick up the egg, quickly hop on and it was like you were never there. After that do a charged jump towards another creature then cloak again because they will follow you. Once they get aggro on another creature dash away.

I have been breeding the shadow manes under the summer event now. 4 baby's in 1 maewing with 6 k raw meat last the whole night and several hours after. There have always been meat left when they turn adult. Around 1 k left

Great for boss fights. Replaced all my rex's and velos

The females are the only ones that can cloak. Males give a buff to other shadowmanes. Also, males have bigger manes... or are they frills? What are the spikes on a lion fish called? Anyways, my advice is to use a male and a female, as they will boost each other, as well as mate boost.
