Can someone please give a note on where to find a shadowmane in fjordur?

They are honesty the best meat harvester that I have. Way better than my carcharos

Everyone thinks that the male roar is similar to the yuty roar! It is not, Roar Boosted allies recover 50 Stamina and Torpidity per second, and have their speed increased by 50%. Roaring Shadowmane (and others if they're extremely close) sometimes get a second buff (even if roar fails) that further increases Melee Damage for 5 seconds. All of this found on the wiki

They get Spino's buff while in the water, swim fast and can breathe underwater!

Make a stone 2x2 with 2 tall walls, hover over it, shadowmane tps in, go get your fish come back and you can feed it through the walls. Thank me later

Easiest way to tame.

Here's some tips from me - Coach Bear

Make a bunch of fish baskets and grab a ton of fish with them in a river or lake. You can put them on your hotbar.

Use a ghillie suit or cactus soup to stealth behind a sleeping shadowmane to feed it, they fall asleep at exactly 5am in game time.

They will go invisible, stay stealthed and track it on your dino taming tracker through inventory (footprint with + symbol).

Lastly, keep feeding it until it's tamed, no saddle required.

Males have a roar that buffs other dinos and females have an aura that will stealth other nearby dinos. Both can turn themselves invisible.

To tame you must have full ghillie and approach from behind by CROUCH walking and passively take them by feeding them the fish baskets. In order to find them after feeding just track them but the trick here is to make sure it doesn’t Agro or eat anything that might die or has died in the surrounding area since it will lose its taming effectiveness. Must be crouched when backing away from them as well since they can still see you after feeding and will agro if you stand or run.

It looks like this big murder fish kitty has some sort of bleed effect when it hits a target a certain number of times but instead of a bleed it’s like a pinkish firey aura that looks like it has the same effect as a bleed or a burn.... I’m not too sure, still, this makes murder fish kitty here OP

Go over to eden zone a use the fish trap on the largest fish you can find (quality/ size matters, level doesnt, you may need a couple depending on how boosted your server is) then, put it in your last hot bar slot and find a shadow mane you want to tame, wait for it to curl up, it’ll look like a dog tucking it’s head into its tail, (they only do it around mid day) and when you see them curled up, crouch, run up, feed them the fish, and run away

Shadowmanes are pack creatures and are highly aggressive so be careful going near them.

Passive tame when they are sleeping. They require a filled fish basket to tame. Wearing ghillie stops them from noticing you.

Please, for the love of gos just give up taming one if it gets into an annoying area. A couple of mine just straight up trapped themselves on a mountain and in a cave, making the feeding impossible without getting detected. If you’re on fjordur, try luring them out to the yellow grass plains and use a desmo, easiest way to tame.

Heres how you can take on a clan of Shadowmanes or as I call them Water Lions, You can either get a breeding pair of Yuty’s and create at least an army of 5-10 Yuty’s or You could get some Andrews or Daedons, Either works I haven't done it before but I know those three creatures are really good for killing bosses.
