Use a 2x2 stone trap with 2 high walls, net or go out if render to deal w aggro, makes tame easy, cryo the fish then put in baskets once you have it trapped, also use cages to trap fish, makes it way easier!

The shadow mane have a tracking ability like the dionychus but instead of jumping it teleports instead

These guys are so good! They have the jump of a karkinos (hold jump and aim) amazing damage and can even turn invisible they have amazing animations to one of my favorite tames EVER!!!

This is one of those creatures where the hard part of taming it isn't actually the taming process itself (sneak behind them and feed them fish from a basket, I suggest catching fish in the Eden zone because the lakes in Rockwell's garden are chock full of pirahna). Instead, this creature is tricky to obtain because of its environment. Literally every bad creature can be found living around it, and as mentioned previously trying to catch fish there is hell. If you want my ultimate advice: catch fish in the Eden zone, clear out the zone around the shadowmane, stand on a tall cliff and wait for it to sleep, sneak up to it's backside, feed it, add it to the taming tracker, and then repeat this process as many times as needed. Once again, DO NOT TRY TO CATCH FISH IN ROCKWELL'S GARDEN.

I believe you have to do it between 12:00 and 20:00. If your off a little it resets. If you don't crouch at the right angle behind them it resets. But getting it's attention at night between feeding doesn't seem to reset it only at day hours.

Always crouch but crouch at full speed and ghillie doesn't really make a difference. I used exo tek armor to drop in about 15 metres away then instantly crouched, walked up to the tail end of it and fed it.

They can stun the Mek, knocking you out and resulting in a very bad time.

If you aggro the shadowmane whilst taming it, the taming meter goes down to 0%, so don’t aggro it lmao

When you feed it the first fish basket it will run away and go invisible. Track it with the current tames screen. Makes it easy to follow around etc. It likes to attack stuff so if you can trap it then it would save the hassle of losing its effectiveness or being killed. These take ALOT of fish baskets btw.

Minimum weight of fish .5 higher weights give higher percentage to taming speed.

Tame during the day While they're laying down. They eat baskets of fish of a certain quality. No ghillie required just move very slowly.. they will get up and walk away after every feed so follow with caution.

As a warning. These have a very high jump and can reach and stun you even while using the jetpack.

BOTH male and female can turn invisible.. only the female can use group camouflage. Male have a roar buff similar to yuty and they can use a chain teleport strike that flashes between multiple enemies.. and to also make your day.. they get a water buff

They can be tamed with a fish basket a day time.

Stand on sore with fish baskets and wait for the piranha to come to you then trap them through them out tamed and cryo for when you find a shadowmane then crouch walk slowly when it’s resting in the day and boom

The males have a charged jump, a dash attack, an attack boosting roar AND the ability to cloak, however this is limited to themselves and significantly lowers your speed. The females also have a charged jump and dash attack, but their cloak ability also hides friendly creatures that are nearby. Both, I think, have a stronger attack that has to be charged by normal attacks. You can they’ll this is ready because there will be a glowing aura around their front feet and mouth.

To tame a shadow mane you must wait until it falls asleep during the day you also have to have a fish basket with any fish that’s higher then 0.5x then crouch and slowly go up to it and then you have a shadow mane but you have to repeat this process on official unless insta tame hope this helps!

Use shadow steaks and bug repellent Guilin armor for it not to attack you when it wake up grab a fish in a basket (must be over 0.5) than go up to a resting one ko does not work neither does stun and than feed it the fish basket

Personally i suggest useing a ghilli suit and fosj baskets

You have to wait till day time afternoon. At night time they go invisible and you'll see they're foot prints glow in the dark. Make sure it's day time afternoon when they will go to sleep. Also unlock the fish basket (gen 2 has abb engrams) catch big fish and put in last slot of hot bar. Feed while crouching. It will move somewhere else btw so make sure you track it with that feature and keep repeating. Fish baske does expire so don't take too long

This thing is a passive tame as far as I can tell and can only be fed while it’s sleeping
