Anyone know the controls for console to use this dang thing. I don’t know how to use the buff roar or multi invis.

The type of fish does matter piranha's will give more taming percentage

So last night my I was taming a 145 Shadow and it glitched. Stuck at 80%. It's done this before but I figured out how to fix it. Fly through the gate back to the right side of the map. Then return and voila. Should lay down again. OFC it has to be day.

A trap will consist of 8 fence foundations and 8-16 doorframes (stone)

net gun the shadowmane then finally cirle the shadowmane in the fence foundations and make a wall using doorframes around one layer should work but two helps

Shadow mane are kinda hard to find but are mostly found near the bottom left genesis 2

Use 1.5 fish or higher to get 100% taming effectiveness

I would only take fisch with min 1.2x and some with higher stat like 1.5x. I had one 2.0x, 4 1.3x and 3 1.2x and i got a 150 lvl with 4x taming speed

Make sure u have a fish bigger than 0.5

If trying to tame u need to squat by its butt/back then feed it the fish

Maturation rates on official seem to be faster than what dododex is saying. I'm on 1x and my shadowmane have been keeping a 3%+ pace over workers every 2-3 hours. My official shadowmane is now 18% more mature than what dododex is saying.

They are easy to trap in a 2x2x2 box as others have stated

They fall asleep at 8:00am each day

Armour cap is 124.8 regardless of the colour

Holding RT(xbox) will do the strongest attack, 1000+dmg and if you kill the creature with it, you can utilize it again

Wear a ghille armor set, sneak up to it and press triangle for PlayStation, E For PC and X or Y For Xbox, I would consume cactus broth as well to be sure, repeat this process and you’ll have a George the thunderbane

In my experience, when I’m taming/feeding a (wild) shadowmane, I aim to feed it near their back more than near the butt/tail. Almost every time I go to feed it from directly behind the tail, I won’t get the prompt to feed it and it’ll wake up. It’s so annoying especially when I go through the effort to only feed them 1.5+ fish.

Make a trap, have it teleport into the trap and feed it through the walls, if this is your first time I will recommend to make the trap out of stone, but if not, wood.

Question : If you see 3 shadowmanes and kill 2 will the lone one go to sleep? I did it and it wouldn’t sleep so it just confused me ^^

These guys are crazy, I was exploring the Rockwell biome for the first time and a lone male jumped me out of the sky off my snow owl,, luckily before I hit the ground my tek suit activated and I got my snow owl back before it killed the Shadowmane. After that I made sure I was extremely high up. I got jumped from about the height of two flower like trees. I also am chattering some fish currently to tame the guy now. He’s a low level but that’s perfect for a first time taming one. Also is a brilliant blue color.

Trap a bunch of fish using fish baskets then empty the basket in the water so you can cryo the fish and fill a cryo fridge of fish ready for when you need them, you can trap tamed fish easily because they dont move unless you tell it to
