So when I got my first one I was alone and it went fine. If you walk backwards and shoot at it(that's what it did) make sure you are far enough away from it you don't die, it runs away from you when it's starting to get sleepy. I recommend about 4 stacks of raw meat for it. For arrows I brought 60 and used most of them but yet again each animal has a different amount of arrows they need to be knocked out. I used about 20 on my second sargo.

I knocked one out with a club when I was level 10

Just keep going in circles with the sarco and keep hitting the back legs there bad at turning and not so fast on land when wild

When tamping these creatures remember to NOT go near water or go in water because they will attempt to swim towards you and easily defeat you. You would need a ton of narc arrows and stay on a high place. If you are getting attacked by another thing they will eventually attack each other lowering each other’s health. Best to make a camp near a cliff where they can’t get you (You might have a chance of getting 2 dinos at once if they are fighting each other).

Ok so what do you do when a sarco chases me? Answer: keep to their tail. They can’t bite you if they can’t reach you. Get your strongest weapon and hit it in the tail and belly. When it turns, turn with it. Don’t try to hop on it’s back. Unless your a god or hacker at this game you have 98% of dying trying to do it. Sarcos are fast even on land and they won’t get board of trying to eat you so don’t even think about running. Btw they drop ALOT of good loot. 🐊🦖

Sarcos are big and slow as long as on land a trap is not necessary to tame one but if you want to build a trap I recommend three stone foundations all placed vertically stone walls placed around the all sides except the very front where you will place a doorframe(don't worry they cannot fit through one) lastly two stairs, you will want to place one on the top of the back most wall then place a second stair on the on the other stair not on the sides on the bottom. If it makes you feel better you can add a third stair but on is not necessary and you may need a fourth foundation. Tranq that baby out feed it some meat 🍖 wait then you got yourself a Sarco🐊. You will need three foundations, 8 walls, one doorframe and two stairs.

Like a lot of people have said before, Sarco’s are one of the easier tames that even lower levels can obtain. I am only a lvl 24 so far and the Sarco I just tamed not even 15 mins ago is a lvl 14+ taming lvl buff. I suggest that you use fish raw/prime to tame because she took 20:00+ mins to tame and it was excruciatingly boring to do nothing (no narcotics or more than 40 fish meat needed).

Most beginners hate these but there pretty easy to tame you can do lots of things to tame these Bois but all you need is a pachy and keep at the back of it and keep attacking pretty soon it will take a nap then feed it some fish and you have big boi

Don’t use a bat I used it it did not go well it will just run and go in water so use bow or crossbow with tranq darts or arrows

These guys are so easy to knock out and need not a lot of meat and narcotics so if you see one you can take it out with a slingshot pretty easily and insanely easy with tranq arrows. They are a great mount for people who would rather focus on building early game and get mounts later on since once you can learn the saddle I prefer it over a raptor for a scout/hunter since you can go underwater and farm chiton easily and not be afraid of water dinos.

Very easy tame, use pteradon and fly to rock then get of pteradon and shoot tranq arrows or slingshot and when sarco is knocked out feed it fish meat and you have a sarco. (You don’t need a pteradon, it’s just for a easy get away if the sarco attacks) I have one sarco at my base, her name is jaws and we are best friends.

Do what me and my mates did

1) find a nice scaly boi

2) have one tribe member distract the sarco while your hit it with darts or arrows

3) load the sarco with food

4) congrats, u got a sarco.

What you need to tame them is like 6 or 7 tranq arrows, and like 30 meat. Go on a rock so they can’t reach you and then tranq them, once they are knocked out give them the meat, they take a while to tame so be patient and you might want to have 2 or 3 narcotics near just in case. Once they are tamed you can craft a saddle for them at level 35, they go super fast in the water and when you ride them around, you can kill a lot of stuff and get lots of meat and hides.

You can’t nock them out now on ark 2.0 because the torpor arrows won’t deal torpor and it will deal damage and then you can’t see there torpor with a spyglass plus they can nearly take down turtles

I found all the ones i’ve tamed in the south zone 2 area, they don’t spawn very often but if you look they’re there.

To kill a sarco you need a spear or a sling shoot if you want to tame one take a bat go to the tail no to the Same way at the tail

I killed 4 sarcos the 2 was distracted by a turtle and I killed 2 of them and I come a cross 1 and I killed it by simply in the tail and another one show up and its killed by my pets

To tame these all you need is meat and land. These guys are slow on land, in the water they are like the flash. Also you can use a slingshot. DONT WASTE ARROWS
