If your looking to tame one of these without going into the swamp I have a tip: around cragg’s island there is a small island to the left of it, you will be able to find a sarco or two on that island. If you don’t know where cragg’s island is go to the red obolisk and it’s on the island to the left of the terminal. Hope this helped you with taking a sarco BUT beware of raptors and dragonflies they will spawn ALOT there.

Tip for taming sarco at 15+ spend all levels on health and melee I can nock out a level 92 with my fists

Be thankfull this thing is slow on land when it's in the wild. Once you tame it, it's faster than a Parasaur...I raced them.

In water their even faster and can easily keep up with Itchy's making a very good bodygaurd.

Starve timer inaccurate. Let it go for 100 past on 4 tames and still took longer than it said. Way longer.

Sarco swimming is hella loud; don’t be expecting to be sneaking up on that trike convoy

Get a monkey to throw poop at it to slow it then tranq it makes for an easy great tame can be done early game.

Don’t listen to the person who says don’t tame them with a wood bat. You can 100% tame one with a wooden bat. I have tamed THREE sarcos that way😐 (I only have one cuz the other two where in deleted worlds) the way to do this is to hit it in the thy. It can’t turn fast so it won’t hit u. It takes longer than hiting in in the face but u won’t die so… ya

If you encounter one of these,

For the low level people find a Carbonemy (the massive spiky) turtle and run towards it the sarco will probably attack it the carbonemy it almost always wins. Then from a distance watch the fight and once it’s dead harvest it.

For the higher level people tranq it it will make a amazing tame it would take 35 pieces of Raw Prime Meat with a total taming time of 1hour 27-29 minutes it would take 18 tranquilizer arrows, or 67 hits with a sling shot to knock a Sarco unconscious.

Sarcos need to be fixed:

1. Turning accuracy

2. Can turn good in water (they are so fast in water I can barely turn)

3. Show me how to do death roll when riding

There has one thing about a sarco that never get aggro by other, unless you chronicle it, yea.. its a sarco that you can find it out seek on volcano cave, yea it can be cave creature on that cave.(There's No Chance it has spawn on other cave*)

To find it you just have to sreach close to artifact, or the water that you could find when youre using left side cave, it has on underwater and beware for phiranha, the probably spawn on the water like 20+, But the sarco that spawn on the cave we're probably low level even youre play on hard, i haven't seeing one that has big lev one, and yea because it has spawn on cave that mean it has ability to become like other cave creature that doesnt aggro the other, It may little bit hard to tame cuz the place its on cave n probably there's chance other creature on cave were get aggro by you, but when you tame it you probably could to swim way on underwater without think bout mosas, Plesiour n etc, And be aware about megalosaur that may be awake when you tried to tame sarco's!

One time I saw this beast I was level 4 I was collecting wood and stone until it hit me it was night I tried to fight back but I was dead then it seems like it was guarding my back pack for a long time then my backpack despawned I had alot of stuff in there.(I was at the easy zone) I wish they spawned in the medium zones.

Sarcos are great if you get good level. get the melee to 600 percent. I have used my sarco to kill high level Brontosaurus and megalodon packs they are good on land too but the knock back is weak so dinos like theriz raptors carnos and baryonx may be a problem but if you have other dinos like trikes this won’t be an issue. Overall a great tame especially paired with creatures with good knock back like a trike.

So when I got my first one I was alone and it went fine. If you walk backwards and shoot at it(that's what it did) make sure you are far enough away from it you don't die, it runs away from you when it's starting to get sleepy. I recommend about 4 stacks of raw meat for it. For arrows I brought 60 and used most of them but yet again each animal has a different amount of arrows they need to be knocked out. I used about 20 on my second sargo.

They do a lot of damage so I recommend you run away or, to tame/kill them, run AROUND them. Their turning is terrible.

Here is just a tip, When U Tame These Guys U Can Put them on aggressive and get fish from them just in case some didn’t know. ^-^

I knocked one out with a club when I was level 10

Just keep going in circles with the sarco and keep hitting the back legs there bad at turning and not so fast on land when wild

When tamping these creatures remember to NOT go near water or go in water because they will attempt to swim towards you and easily defeat you. You would need a ton of narc arrows and stay on a high place. If you are getting attacked by another thing they will eventually attack each other lowering each other’s health. Best to make a camp near a cliff where they can’t get you (You might have a chance of getting 2 dinos at once if they are fighting each other).
