Tips & Strategies

What are tips for sarco? Tips and strategies for sarco in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
A tip for newish-players: My Sarco is still only a level twenty-something, by even by level 7, she was killing Titanoboas and kiting megalodons with ease. I can't recommend the Sarco enough as a swamp hunting mount-- and as I said before, ESPECIALLY for Titanoboas. You'll have leather coming in by the hundreds. Just be careful that you go at them head-on, and that you don't take on more than a few beasties at a time. Be especially wary of the Kapro. They'll knock you flat and leave you vulnerable to whatever horrors are crouching in the shadows. Have a pike on hand for those pesky bugs that your Sarco can't reach. And beware, dear reader, the frumious Baryonyx, with jaws that bite and claws that catch. They have a penchant of attacking from the side, making it quite a hastle to get back at them. (At least, from my experiences.) Want to take on other Sarcos with your Sarco? Have no fear. Just get your melee damage up a little bit, and you should be fine.
But as always, tread carefully.
Tip for taming, if you wanna tame of of these first take a carbonemes and set it to “only attack unconscious” then have it distract the sarco while you club its tail or leg, if it aggros towards you run until it aggros the carbonemes again, repeat until it’s knocked out and feed it raw fish meat, I repeat, raw FISH meat, normal meat don’t work nearly as well when taming a sarco
Easy to get a low level Sarco early game with just a club and some fish meat. Their turning radius is horrible so just stay by the tail and your safe.
It took me 30 seconds to finish taming this beast.
It’s easy just try Sattle is level 35
Should I tame this up for you down for no
I have a krapro
Ha a sarco came to my beach stood on a cliff and pumped it full of tranqs. A surprisingly easy knockout but it took me FOREVER to get it tamed ( I used meat because I didn’t know better at the time) and I was constantly worried about dilos attacking. WARNING: BRING BIOTOXIN if you can’t bring biotoxin BRING NARCITICS they WILL need them.
They are pretty cool and easy to tame but if you are not a high level it can be hard
For a low level Sarco use at most 8 tranq arrows make sure it can’t run once knocked out give it meat if You can force feed it a soothing balm after eating 3 or 4 meat boom you have a Sarco up if this was helpful
When you knock out a sarco, you can jump on it like a trampoline, it’s 🤩
There was literally one on the island right next to my island but it wasn't in the swamps....I'm thinking to tame it but I need to know which gator it is. (hopefully not a sarco)....
also I tamed a spino at lvl 20 lol
Found one alone in a pond.Wish me luck taming it.
When encountering I recommend having a land flyer I was using pigdy my pteranodon
And was able to knock it
I have just started on Abberation and tame as many low level sarcos as I could. I have 10 now and they melt through everything in seconds. Spinos just disappear and they killed an alpha karkinos without any dying. I would absolutely recommend taming a few of these early game.
TIP: To tame sarco don’t feed it normal meat or prime, FEED IT FISH any kind of fish meat
I've only encountered this while a low lvl so if your in my situation R U N it might be hard to do but don't fight it unless you know you can win without respawning
These things are super cool. They are extremely fast in water, gain stamina instantly in water, but are a little slow on land. They are super easy to tame.
Sarcos are actually really eassy tames, you can outrun them on land by foot, and they make great mounts (asides from raptor jumps) because if you get low, just go to the nearest body of water you can just zoom away to escape danger
